Leato
As everything happened he let it all be absorbed. This thing that passed as a man was what was going to keep them safe for the time being. Add a little life to this lie. He listened as the younge woman played her part. When attention was brough to him he just held a hard stare and noded. He stayed in his place and would let the two talk. At least she could stay on her feet. Didnt bat an eye as she lied to someones face. He slowly folded his arms over his chest and rested his weight on one side. Deep gray pools gazed around as he kept a close eye on what was happeneing. He felt that something was out of place. Maybe not just right here. But there was a problem. He had to stay with her. He couldnt leave her or he comprimised the plan. He hated not being able to do what he wanted. He didnt want to just be support when his sisters life was at sake.
Sheridan
A quick glance in Leato's direction let her know he was playing every bit the part. She was surprised though, he acted exactly like Dash but had never met him. She would beleive he was his son if she didnt already know it to be a lie. She stiffled a grin and turned back to Bastine. "About the Fuel Bastine, come come, where are your manners?"
Her stomach rolled as he turned to face her. Puss dripped off his chin and onto the floor, smoking as it touched the countless bacteria on the floor because heaven knew he did not clean his cantina's ever. "Ah yes. The fuel." He gave her an evil grin. "I think I could scrounge up a contact or two, it will cost you though. A very pretty penny, like perhaps shutting down one of your cantinas in an area I want mine to flourish? Or perhaps that pretty vessel of yours." He thought he had Sheridan in a pinch. But she wasnt having it. She was already mad as hell that she had to be in this situation. She stepped forward so close to Bastines face, that she almost touched and moved her mouth to within millimeters of his ear. Though noone would be able to hear what she said or read her lips, the look on Bastine's face was enough. He paled conciderably and swallowed hard. His eyes moistened and glinted with fear and tears.
She stepped away and turned once more to him, raising a brow. "What direction do you want to go?" He stammered out still obviously rattled. Sheridan turned to Leato. He was the one that knew the general direction Leiyn was in.

(( That long rp session that Melissa had posted for me has been voided, and so we are starting this up from where we all landed. Murra, Kabe, Anna, Merek and Logan will all catch up to Leato and Sheridan within rp times, so no worries...))
As they all started to move away from the landing birth, Murra allowed her senses to streatch outward, "Stay with me big brother, I might need your eyes..." she muttered to the wokkie under her breath, her vision and expression going to somewhere beyond sight. She was focused on Leiyn's life force, her presence and the idea of where the other woman was. It was a tenusous hold, something Murra had to concentrate on because of its weakness. She would hold the look of an old woman, her age showing on her face and in her eyes as something tiresome. She would give the impression of being blind to what was in front of her, mainly due to her focus elsewhere. But, in all reality it would help portray the look she was going for. "Talk to me brother, where are you?"
With her mind focused soley on finding Leyin, her preception of things closer was off. If Kabe was standing by her side, she would feel him only in the physical, as well as hear his breath or words through the com device. This was one of the draw backs for the Jedi Master when attempting something she had not practiced in a while.

The oyung man looked from the bulbous creature to his "Captain" and back. His stern eyes were slowly starting to darken as his turned his head in the direction he knew his sister to be in. He noded his head a little and spoke up over the noise in the cantina. "That way." He turned back to face them his eyes burning with the need to do something. The pure light presence that was Orin was starting to have dark flames flicking through out it. The calmness that was the jedi was being lost to the rage and passion that was the darkness known as Leato. His need and want was causeing him to loose control. There were to many factors in the situation and he couldnt hold on any longer in that state of mind. He had the urge to just turn and leave. Walk his way into the place they kept her and create what he was so good at doing. Chaos and distruction. He knew of the team the other had set up for himself. How they would aid in the capture and escape. All he had to do is get to them and all could be fixed. No one would be hurt and none would be the wiser of the fact. He couldnt wait while his sisters life was at stake and this child played her smuggling games. Anger was swelling inside him more and more as the time was passing. The flames grew hotter and higher every moment.

As "Lee" answered, Sheridan nodded and turned to Bastine. He merely nodded in return as a bit of color came back to his disgustingly putrid face. "One moment" And with that he stalked off. Sheridan was glad he was cooperating. The ruse was working and Leiyn would soon be safe. However Leato, she could tell something was bothering him. She had to keep him under control. He could not be the loose cannon here. She turned to him and walked close enough so that only he could hear. She needed Leato to get his head out of his ass. He wasnt the only one that cared about rescuing Leiyn. Sheridan was taking enormous personal risk to even be here to give them the cover they need and act as the second group with him. It angered her that he was so impatient. She thought force users were more laid back than this. But then, he was no smuggler and not used to the idea of hiding behind a legit reason. He like every other testosterone ridden male would prefer to just fly in by the seat of their pants and get themselves all killed. Well she wasnt about to lose Leiyn and everyone else on this trip because of his impatience. She brought her hands to either side of his face and covered the com unit with her arm so that noone would hear. To anyone else, it would look as though she was coming onto "Lee" But her voice was hard and serious.
"Anger shall not serve you here Lee. She will be safe very very soon. Murra is already on her way. I promise that Leiyn is my first and biggest priority. Running in hot headed will not save her life. This will work, but I need you with me Lee. Not in the clouds with daring chivelrous rescues running around in your head." Her eyes softened and so did her voice. "Please. Trust me. We will get her out of here." She needed him at the top of his game. And right now he wasnt. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Bastine come from out of the backroom. She closed her eyes and gently nuzzled Leato to keep up the pretenses so that no questions were asked later. And then she let him go and turned back to Bastine. She knew he wouldnt like the approach she took, but she had a reputation, best to use it and act normal than rouse suspicion. Besides, perhaps the oddity of her approach would get through to him.
"Here is the holopad with the data you requested." She took it from him and looked it over once before erasing the information and typing in a few keys. She handed it back to him and spoke. "And there is a reasonable sum in your account Bastine. Good to do business with you. Til next time." With that she turned and left, hoping Leato would have gotten ahold of himself enough to follow.

He looked at the woman as she spoke to him. She was right. All to right. He was loosing control and it would get them killed. Maybe even the others. He had to contain himself. He couldnt let go of what he was tought. He was a trained Jedi and knew better than this. When she had finished and turned back to the fat man he nodded to her words and to himself. Focus was the key. when she turned and left he gave the man a smug little smirk takeing a few back steps before fallowing her. It was all falling into place. The force would guide them to what would happen as it saw fit. And they would all see then that everything has a purpose. Soon. The show would begin. Leato masked the blazeing heat that was himself like he had done when he first arived. He stayed behind Karred His eyes darkening slowly as he went.

As he followed behind Karrde leaving the cantina, he glanced around quickly. The bustle of the crowd allowed for the perfect opportunity. He fell back a little as the people closed in around him. He watched the Karrde woman walk away. He shut himself off from the Force and made his way down an alley. He had no fears of the young Jedi following him. She wouldn't compromise herself or had the full abilities to track him. The crowds spread out and he made a quick trail to the holding place where his sister would be. He grabbed the blaster strapped to his leg, then ripped it off and tossed it aside. Using the back alleys that he had learned his first time here, he made it quickly to the building. Pounding his fist on the door a few times, it opened quickly with a blaster rifle in his face. He gave the man a look that if he didnt lower it right then there were going to be problems. Pushing himself past the guard he walked into the company of a group of mercs. "How are things progressing?"
A woman steped up to speak. She looked hard. Haveing been through many such tasks and battles. "They are makeing their way here to the compound as we speak... I think a confrontation with the Jedi will be almost certain."
He glared at her and shook his head. "Dont worry about the Jedi. I will take care of them. You just do what you're getting paid to do. Make it hard for them." Moving around slowly he clasped his lightsaber to his hip where it felt more at home. "How is my sister doing?"
"She is doing fine, sir. We have a woman taking good care of her. She won't be very active any time soon, though."
He noded slowly and took a seat. And waited... "Very good. You will be paid well." His lips spread into a smirk as this would be a moment to remember.

He stood slowly after watching a few vid screens for some time. Those around him worded as they had been instructed and made sure not to bother the employer. Since he had been there he had not checked on Leiyn. And he was possitive that Karrde was not happy about his little dissapearance. He figured she would chock it up to his male ego and need to go head long into things. His best bet was to meet up with another part of the team. The closest being Murra's. So he might see his little friend again after all. Moving slowly from the vid screens he walked to the woman in charge of the mercs. "I need you to make sure a message is sent to the compound. Have all the perimeter deffenses are up and working. Yes, I want them to get in, but it can't seem to easy. The Jedi already smell a trap. The others will see it being simple and force them to pull back. My... absence won't make things better either." He sighed crossing his arms over his chest to think.
"Wont they know it was you once they come in for the girl." She spoke softly, not wanting to alert the others to much.
"Yes... But till then, I want it to just be a figment of their imagination. I dont pay you to ask questions. I pay you to get things done. Dont make me regret using you." He uncrossed his arms and stared her down.
She backed away, nodding meakly. "Yes sir. I'll get right on it." She turned and moved off to comply with her given orders. As she did, he looked down at the data pad on the table. If things didn't go as planned, he can trigger a message to everyone and anyone who might like to know that a handfull of jedi just stole and extremely expensive price and would be paid dearly to have her back. At all costs.

She turned to make sure he was following her just after she stepped out of the cantina. She only just caught the vision of him turning into a back alley. What the HELL was he doing? He was going to get them all killed. She was sure of it now more than ever. He should have stayed back on the damned ship. It was entirely possible he had planned this all along, and was leaving her group to be a distraction while he retrieved Orins sister. The problem was, if Leiyn had been abused by men, it would not be a man that could retrieve her.
Growling she moved through the streets. She slipped into a building and ran up the steps to the roof. Once emerging she immediately moved to the side to look. While she did, she touched t he pin and spoke. "Ladies and gentlemen, here is a shock for you. Leato has gone off on his own. Keep on the look out, he may be depending on our groups to be a distraction to someone, so there may be someone tipped off as to why we are here. Keep your eyes open." When she got ahold of Leato, she was going to coldcock him. He angered her greatly with his stupid stunt, but she had to keep a lid on it for now. Leiyn was still very much in danger. She didnt know what Leato's plan was, but she was a patient woman and would know soon enough. Her eyes narrowed as she found him slipping into a building. White hair like his was hard to miss.
She wondered where Murra was. She didnt know for sure, but either he was waiting on Leiyn to be delivered to him or this was the place. She stayed on rooftops, slipping from one to another making her way closer to the building he had gone in. And for the moment, she would stay several rooftops away and wait. "Murra, I am in position if I am needed."

(OOC Note: This is the transcript from the many, many, many... hours of RP between murra, kabe, anna, and myself-- and a few others on occasion-- spent in Conference... Bear with me-- this is a very... VERY... LONG transcript... If you're like me and get headaches reading loooong posts on gray and dark blue backgrounds, prepare yourself for a migraine...)
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: The equatorial heat of where they were was warm enough to make most people uncomfortable, but Kabe only found himself being reminded of Kashyyk. The tall wookiee looked out over the crowd, swimming in a sea of faces, then looked back at Murra. "I don't see any taxi's. We could rent a vehicle.. or buy one, better yet. Up to you though. We could always steal a ride too." In his mind they wanted something fast, and small... and preferably with some firepower. The old 74-Z speeder bike came to mind. The 74-Z was the basic military duty speeder bike for the empire and they were fairly easy to come by, easy to maintain, fast, and reliable. They were easier to handle than say... a swoop, and really could fit three people on them. Maybe a 85-Z would be better though, bigger lift capacity. <c>
wookie_kabraka: Quietly he awaited his friend, and Master's decision. <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: After a long moment of seeming to stare into nothing Murra spoke, her voice just as soft and quiet as it had been moments before. She was trying not to break her concentration on Leiyn, she was doing all that she could to keep it open. "Lets just buy one. If we rent it, they will track the bank account numbers, if we steal one it would draw attention to us that I would rather not have..." She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, seeming to place more weight on the wookkie then she had already. It was becoming tiresome to keep this conncection open with all of her concentration. She was way out of practice. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: Anna stood at the bottom of the ramp. her eyes moved around the world that was ord mantel, she tried to ignore the stench that filled her nose. she didnt really like standing here, just being still. she wanted to get this over and done with and get back to the Kiss. She watched as murra and kabe dissappeared into the crowd and wished them luck silently. she felt they were going to need it. keeping up the facade she had placed upon herself, she looked upon merek, her arms were folded over the worn leather of orin's jacket. she stepped up beside him as logan finally met up with them. "lets get goin. this place stinks."
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Kabe had already been attached to the string that was between Leiyn and Murra, and he felt her distress, and stress at holding onto such a connection through the vast churning sea of people, especially when he too could feel that life force was so weak. Connected as he was through the Force he closed his eyes and relaxed some, and begin to add energy to the link between the two, imagine the thin strand becoming like trap-spinner silk, thin but strong, and then it began to sing and glow with the light of the Force as he added as much energy to it as he could. He couldn't afford to let Murra lose that link. He was careful not to overcharge it either, as that might snap the connection. As he did as much as he was willing to risk he took a deep breath and let it sighed softly, relaxing. <c>
wookie_kabraka: "Very well, let's go get a speeder." He paused for a few moments, then looked around. To the Force, he sent, Show me where I need to go, for swift and safe transport. He turned on his heel slowly until he felt the 'right' direction, and began to head south by south-west.
Meanwhile Merek and Logan both joined Anna at the bottom of the ramp. He found himself feeling outnumbered, in a way though he knew that Anna really didn't consider herself much of a Jedi, but.. it was like having an itch at the back of his neck. "Yeah, well its not as bad as a Hutt's drool bucket, I can tell you that." He shuddered, just thinking about it made his stomach wanna turn. He gave her a wink. "So, we're supposed to be buying supplies right? Let's go get some then. I have a shopping list for myself anyway. <c>
wookie_kabraka: Either of you two need anything?" Logan shook his head, and quietly murmured, "The Force will provide what I need." Merek raised an eyebrow at him then shrugged and shook his head, keeping his thoughts to himself. He looked back at Anna as he started walking, "Comin' Cap'n?" <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Falling into step with Kabe, Murra felt the connection between her and Leiyn strengthen. It was Kabe's aid, she could read the draw of energy through the Force. She made a note somewhere in the back of her mind ot thank him later for his help. She walked in silence by his side, no words were needed. When it came down to it, she and Kabe were one hell of a team. The tandum they held in their connection was remarkable, and would be so until they split ways again. She moved, haunched over, her back curled as if from age, as if her steps brought pain to her body. It was all outward, an appareance that might have gained pitty from some who looked on her. She doubted it though, they were in a place and time where everyone was more concerned with their own hides. She would have smirked were she <c>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She would have smirked were she not cocentrating so in the Force. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: Anna smirked at merek's words. she never smelt a hutts drool bucket and she hoped to never have to. the expresion lingered for a moment then faded away as logan mentioned the force. she was glad he had spoken it softly, there were not supposed to let the habitants know they were jedi. she sighed a bit and nodded. she had nothing she needed, but they needed to keep up the facade of their mission, so she would go window shopping. she fell instep with merek as he began to walk away. she forced her smile to stay inward completely unknown to the outside world at hearing him call her cap'n. it seemed to be his pet name for her, and it served as a reminder of what was inside of him behind hte smart ass <c>
angelove51682: though he was trailing behind slightly. <e>
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: After a few minutes of leading the 'old lady' he was beginning to get impatient with the crowds, but nobody interfered with them really. Silently he'd become a rock for Murra to grab onto if she needed to keep herself grounded, focused and provide support and whatever aid she might need. This was as crucial as breathing to him. He knew the strain of maintaining her disguise, and probably his, keeping a hold of Leiyn, and being of presence of mind to be able to follow him. He was only maintaining his disguise.. well really it was maintaining itself, as per his design. The thing he was working on mostly was following the guidance of the Force, and picking out the random thoughts of people that came their way and subtly directing them elsewhere. It seemed like forever, but Kabe found <c>
wookie_kabraka: himself standing in front of a large but somewhat squat shop, or at least the front of it was squat. The back of it looked like it could be a small warehouse or a hangar. "Guard yer purse, granny. We're going in." His words were quiet and held a note of endearment but mostly meant as a joke. <e> (Kabe)
Seeing the business-like look on both Anna and Logan's faces he dropped his smile. Right, got a job to do. Merek tugged on his gunbelt and then pulled out a small datapad, looking things over then slipped the palm-sized reader back into his pocket. This might very well be a long day, espeically with the young Jedi at his back. Anna and Merek could have blended into the crowd by themselves, but the kid looked uncomfortable being out of Jedi robes. Merek fell into step beside Anna, falling back into <c>
wookie_kabraka: his 'Jek' persona. "Well, this is about as wonderful as a Hutt trying to bellydance. It's hot out here." He added a slight whine to his tone as well, just to add to the somewhat annoying "smartass immature wannabe" image. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: They had walked for some time, and the annoyance that had come to her from Kabe had started to make holding onto both the illusion and her connections tenusous. But she would hold it, and they would be out of the crowds soon. It was not too long after the thought that she heard him refer to her as 'granny'. It would have made her laugh, but such a notion would have caused her a hold on everything within the Force. So, inwardly she smirked, keeping her posutre crooked and her hand wrapped into the furr of Kabe's fur covered arm. "Don't let me out of your sight, Kabe...no matter what happens in here..." she muttered softly, having a feeling that this would not be the easiest of tasks, considering that he was guiding a nearly blind and feeble old woman by her arm.<C>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: Anything to take advantage of the weak and helpless, as they put it, would be done in places like this. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: Anna looked at merek out of the corner of her eye. he sounded like a whiney child, something she hadnt heard from him before. she rolled her eyes and spoke to him without turning her head. "it should only take us a few hours to get what we need. i think you can stand this heat for a little bit." she looked over her shoulder at the young man walking behind them, he looked calm in every aspect, though she could tell her was not realy comfortable with his clothing. he looked just like a normal person wihtout his robes, but she could tell it bothered him slightly to be that way. she shook her head slightly as they slipped into the crowd, she hoped logan wouldnt cuase a problem with the objective they had to fulfill. <c>
angelove51682: turning her head back around, she glanced at hte people now around them, she hoped they wouldnt lose eachother in the crowd. she stepped closer to merek and hoped logan would do the same. it would do them no good to lose eachother. <e>
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Kabe murmured softly in response to his aged friend, "Don't worry, I've got you. Maybe I should get you a cane-saber." He mentally smirked at his quip, then pushed the door open gently ushering her through. A tired-looking droid greeted them. "Hello, welcome to Sulhaks Speeders. I'm LD-4. Do you have anything in mind?" Kabe looked at the droid, then looked around the 'show-room' floor. There were a few speeder-bikes, but even more swoops. "Do you have any 74-Z's," he asked quietly in Shyriwook. "One moment sir," the droid replied with a tone of tired brightness. The wookiee blinked at the droid a few times, wondering why it was like that.. then again sometimes droids did develope their own personalities. He shrugged. "Ah, yes. We've got.. two 74-Z's." "Either of them armed?" "Sir we d--" <c>
wookie_kabraka: Kabe flopped a hand down on the counter. "Look, I don't have time for this." The droid stared up at him, its photoceptors almost seeming to blearily widen a bit. Everybody knows not to aggrivate a wookiee. "Do you or do you not have any speeders that are armed?" The droid sighed. "Yes..but I--" Again the wookiee cut him off. "Good! I'll take it. How much?" The droid gave him a flabbergasted wave of his hands. "We don'-" "How much...." The wookiee growled under his breath. No aggrivation leaked form him at all, in fact he was enjoying the game a bit, but he also knew that time was important. <e> (Kabe)
wookie_kabraka: Merek found himself wishing there was at least a breeze through the area, but on the street level, with this many people around it would be hard to feel a breeze at this point. He smiled at Anna as she moved closer. It was brief and only slight, but it was still there. A shop they passed by was filled with weapons, and he stopped, glancing in the window, then made a note of its location, then continued on. He needed to find a military surpluss store. He wanted to see if he could find a mimetic suit. That would come in handy. Maybe he could get one for Anna too. They were about the best kind of all-purpose cammoflage, though individual suits for each kind of environment were better for those environments. A mimetic suit was a good substitute though. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Standing beside Kabe, listening to him bicker with the droid, Murra became annoyed herself. They didn't have time for games like this, and in show of this the old woman produced a pouch fat with credit chits. With a shakey hand Murra placed the pouch on the counter top by Kabe's elbow. "Just give us the speeder, there should be enough there and then some..." she allowed herself to waver on her feet, and produced a bit of a rugged cough, making it sound as if there were something clinging to the insides of her lungs. "We have no time to argue with a droid..." she allowed a bit of disdain to enter into her words, sounding as if they were coming from some high class citizen, perhaps a noble in failing health.
Anna: angelove51682: Anna glanced at merek again, she had caught his very slight smile and returned her own through her eyes. she hoped he had caught it. it was very hard for her not to smile at him, it almost hurt her to keep up the image she had. the woman she used to be would not have smiled like that at one of her companions, she wouldnt have been with any company to begin with. her other self would have acted how she was acting. all business. anna unfolded her arms and slid her hands into her pockets. she could feel the barrel of her saber against the back of her left hand. she was surrounded by reminders that she had left this personification behind, that she was wanted and loved. merek was one of those reminders and she was greatful to be walking next to him, she only hoped he realized this despite<C>
angelove51682: the way she was acting. anna turned her head when he stopped, and made note herself of the weapons store. if thing went well, and if they had time, they would have to check out that little shop. she continued moving knowing merek would catch up to her. as he did so, she wondered what exactly he was looking for. she should have asked him before they had left the ship. it wouldnt be good for her to ask him now, she would just have to act like she knew. <e>
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: "B.. b.." the droid stammered as it switched from decision track to decision track. "Oh for Hutt's sake," a new voice griped. "LD, move." The droid shuffled asside as a 5'11' well-tanned human male approached through a door to the left. "I swear you don't know how to make a good sale." The man turned to both of them, his fingertips rubbing at his 5 o' clock shadow, even though it was only noon. "I'm Sul. Now... what were you looking to buy?" He glanced down at the 74-Z the droid had on a small datapad built into the service desk. "Oh.. the old Empirial model. Good bikes. I got three of them." He looked at the weapons on Kabe then looked at the droid, then back at the wook. "Yer not gonna shoot him, are ya?" Kabe chuckled then shook his head. "No, but I do need the 74 that's armed. How <c>
wookie_kabraka: much?" Sul scratched at his neck looking at the screen. "Fifteen hundred. It's got some little additions that make it worthwhile." "Deal." Kabe swiftly counted out the requisite amount, then thanked the man as the droid Left to push the speeder to the side exit and back out front next to the door. He picked up the credit chits and slipped them away. He didn't need a happy-go-lucky pickpocket making a fortune off him and Murra especially when money in a place like this greased and lubed the gears. <e> (Kabe)
Merek only paused for a second or so, and was immediately back in step with Anna. "So, first things first. We need power-cells, coolant, a fusion furnace, a micro-cooker, and a few other groovy little toys." He found himself wanting to slip his arm around her waist, but if anyone were <c>
wookie_kabraka: watching with the wrong kind of intent, that little physical clue alone would spell great trouble. That was when he caught where her left hand was. He didn't say anything, as he too would be in the same position if his guns weren't strapped to his thighs in full view. A lightsaber could be mistaken for a hydrospanner more easily than a gun anyway. In the back of his mind, the day he met her on Bastion.. just a few days ago really, floated through his mind. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: While Kabe was talking to this new sales man, Murra allowed herself another body shaking cough. She would not be able to keep the illussion alive for much longer if things continued as slowly as they were going now. She was already stressing herself, even with the aid that Kabe had given her. As he moved his arms to count out the money, Murra took hold of the counter top, her stooped form seeming to clutch at it as if it were the only thing keeping her on her feet. What a joy the salesman would get from watching someone like Murra appeared to be climb into a speeder only to zoom away with a wookie at the wheel. At least it would get them there sooner, and she would be able to drop her concentration considerably. "Lead the way..." <c>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She said softly, waiting for Kabe to take her arm adn usher her out of the building.<e>
Anna: angelove51682: the tension of the crowd lingered at the back of anna's mind. though she had tuned her self out from the force for the most part, she could still feel the unease of some of the people around them. she tried to ignore it as she kept herself moving, merek still beside her and logan still behind. the young man had drawn himself closer to them, she could feel him only a step or two behing now. that was good. the closer they were to eachother the less likely they were to get split up. anna closed her eyes for a breif moment and opened them just intime to see a black blur run into her. catching her off blance, she reached out blindly with her hand to try to catch herself on merek's arm. <c>
angelove51682: the tall dark haired man that had run into her didnt seem to notice she was there. the world spun around her not giving her much time to react. the man barely glanced behind him as he kept walking, his pace picking up quickly. <e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: As gentle as always, the genial giant took the old woman's arm, thanked Sulhak and efficently led her outside then gently placed her on the speeder bike, and then sat behind her, his long wookiee arms and legs reaching the controls easily, and also allowing her to be comfortable as well. He started the thing up, keeping the throttle low. He flew down the lane cruising, then slowly afforded himself some altitude. While a speeder bike wasn't as fast as some landspeeders, this one was still very fast, topping out at roughly 600 kilometers per hour with the modifycations. "Can you give me a course," he murmured to her through the comlink and the Force, "Or do we just go south?" <e> (Kabe)
Merek whirled as the dark body bumped into Anna. Idly he caught her, steadying her with a hand on her shoulder. His eyes imeadiately locked onto the figure, and saw it slipping something away into a pocket. In that moment his left hand sprang for his blaster, and snapped it free of his holster, sending a small beam of laser light out, painting a red dot on the thing's back, which as it glanced back was immediately lost in the crowd. "Sonofabitch. Stay here!" He put the pistol away already breaking into a run. He dove into the crowd, able to see the person ahead of him weaving around and through people, more than likely aquiring things from them as well. He wondered what the cretin had stolen, as he'd ran into Anna along the left side, but maybe.. He knew that the thing didn't get her lightsaber, that much was clear. She'd had her hand on it. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Being seated on the speeder was a reliefe for Murra, it took her mind away from walking, giving her a bit more room to focus on other things. She was ignoring the chatter coming across the com units, Anna and her group could take care of themselves. "Just head south for now," she muttered softly to Kabe. "I will let you know when to change direction." She fell silent then, putting more effort into the illusion she had cast. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: as merek's hand landed on her shoulder, her rotation stoped. she held on to him for that breif moment, her eyes catching a glimpse of the blaster he had pulled, she followed its sight to the man that had run into her. as soon as she had spotted him, he was gone. before hse could stop him, she heard merek giving her and logan the comand to stay put. she looked at logan then back to merek. she hoped that he would be able to find them again after catching whoever it was that had run into her. her mind was too preocupied with what was now going on to realize that she had had something taken from her. logan stepped closer to her. anna returned her gaze to him and shook her head.. she didnt llike this. <c>
angelove51682: the dark haired figure looked over his shoulder every couple of steps to see if he was being followed. sure enough, he saw the man that had been with his target following him. he quickened his pace almost breaking into a run. the small pouch he had taken stored in his own pocket now. dodging in and out of the path of people, the man found his way to a near by alley. he ducked inside and hid himself in the shadows. he closed his eyes and stilled his breathing hoping the man behind him wouldnt find him.<e>

Leiyn/NPCs: trapped_in_turmoil: *Things were going as they usually did... Guards were making their routine patrols around the compound. Though security here was tight, there was no need for surveilance. There were other security measures, though, such as movement detectors and heat sensors... There were a few sentries posted a ways from the compound itself. Small towers that could gaze out over the landscape for things that might or might not be expected to arrive... However, the guards patrolling the prison sector had been neglecting their duties. They were stationed, but they were not exactly paying attention to their duties. Two stood outside Leiyn's cell, gazing inside at the middle aged woman who had taken care of Leiyn all of this time. All the other guards were reporting in-- <c>
trapped in turmoil: and they were talking about the rumors of Leiyn being a Jedi... "Did she even have a lightsaber with her when she was handed over?" The other answered... "Yea, she did. Pity, though. I would've expected more fight from a Jedi..." <e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: "As ordered," he replied. His tone was as of that to a squadron leader, for a few moments reverting back to his military training. Actually, he was almost taking a military mind to this instead of that of a hunter. Maybe that would help in the coming days. He knew that soon the Jedi would again be lending their aid to the Resistance, and he would need to remember and re-establish military ettiquette and protocal within himself. The deep hum of the repulsors was soothing to him though soon he knew they'd be not only humming, but also vibrating with a whine, once he got the throttle open but for now he was slowly gaining altitude so as not to interfere with the streets below, but not get caught in the sky traffic either. "Anything interesting we all should know about, <c>
razorkiss: oh guru of Force wisdom?" His tone was slightly mocking, and teasing, like that of a big brother as he leaned to one side, slipping the bike and its two occupants around an air-car. He figured a minute or so more, and they would be out of the port city of Luceria, and on their way to the south. <e> (Kabe)
The... creature he was chasing was quick. It was like trying to catch mercury, that much was certain. He kept bumping into people as he followed his qarry as quickly as he could then just as suddenly lost him. He looked around, and spotted the nearby alley. ... convinient. With his right hand he pulled his blaster pistol, causing it to whine electronically in his hand. Using a thumb he turned on the glow beam sending a narrow cone of white light down the alley, with a wider less illuminating spread of light to show him the surroundings. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: She sat forward on the speeder, hugging to the seat as much as she could without throwing them off balance. She wanted to give the impression of barely being able to hang on by herself. Those that would glance at them as Kabe and she moved in and out might have become asstounded that the wookie was attempting such a thing at all. But she was safe on the ride with Kabe, even with her mind at the distance that it was, no harm would come to her. She knew the wookie would not forgive himself if anything happened to her during this mission. To his question she nodded slightly, lessening her hold on hte illussion somewhat. They were traveling too fast for anyone to get a real good look at either of them. In time Murra would be able to drop it all together. <c>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: "We have sentries coming up on towers, it looks like...and several dozen gaurds I think. I will have a better idea when I can drop the illussion all together. Just get us out of this city swiftly Kabe, its fading fast..." her voice would come to him over the com unit, as calm and strong as ever. <e>
Anna/NPC: angelove51682: as her eyes moved back to the direction merek had gone of in, she muttered "ive got a bad feeling about this." she spoke it soft enough for it to go unheard. it wasnt nesicarily made towards what had just happened with her and the dark figure, but more or less about the entire trip itself. she could hear what murra was saying and didnt like the way it sounded, but she knew both murra and kabe were strong and would be able to handle almost anything that had come to challenge them. the crowd around her and logan had begun to thicken quite a bit, people bumbped into them on all sides, forcing them to move. she didnt like it, but had no other choice. keeping herself close to logan, the moved with the crowd. she looked <c>
angelove51682: she looked over her shoulder every once in a while hoping merek would find them. she spoke to logan hoping merek would hear and understand over the com. "this crowd is getting rediculous. let's keep moving." she really didnt like it. logan looked down at her and nodded. hopefully they would be able to find a place that they could wait for merek, hopefuly he would be able to find them. <c>
angelove51682: the figure held its breath it saw merek standing at the opening of the alley. it dared not breath for fear of getting caught. as merek turned on the glow beam, the creature closed its eyes and counted. it hoped that all the man would see was an empty alley, but still, the risk of getting cuaght was there. <e>
Kabe/Merek/NPC: razorkiss: "As ordered," he replied quietly, with military precision, "Hang on." He jammed the toes of his feet down. Instantly the repulsor bike acellerated like a terrified womp rat. Had he been near the ground he would have kicked up a large sand-wall. As it were, they were already high in the air. He reached up and placed a finger to the com device behind his ear. "Everything alright over there, kids?" His words were directed to Merek's group, as the buildings dropped away. It was a mild inquiry to their situation, but he really couldn't worry about them. They would have to handle it on their own. He needed to get himself and Murra to Leiyn. She needed a healer, and protectors, which meant they were just the thing needed, but if she was fading as Murra said, then they must move quickly. The <c>
razorkiss: galaxy hates me.. I swear. He sighed. There wasn't anything moving farther down. The gun swept up, scanning the walls and the edge of the roof. Nothing there. He noticed a stack of crates nearby, some piles of garbage. A dumpster about 30 meters away... small rodents running through the darkness. He aimed at the crates, then pulled the trigger. The muzzle coughed a whining bolt of blue light, hitting the top crate dead center. If there was anyone here.. they would probably break and run, or otherwise react. <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Being as high up as they were and with the kick that Kabe had put into the speeder, Murra was allowed to drop the guise all together, focusing her attention on the sentries and so forth. "Yep, Kabe, we have towers coming up, sitting sparodically on apparoach to the compound. Just keep heading south for now, though. We can deal with them as we get closer." She spoke to him again over the com unit, wanting to confirm what she had guessed at moments before. Her attention was turned momentarily to Anna and Logan, "Kabe, inform them to head back toward the ship if they can. Merek would head back there if they got seperated anyway..." <e>
Anna: angelove51682: the creature jumped and bolted for the opening of the alley as merek fired at the crate. it had paniced. the black blur that it was rushed to move past merek. the figure hoped that it could get out safetly, it knew the chances were slim, but it had to try. back in the crowd, anna heard kabe and nodded. both she and logan changed their direction and started making their way back ot the ship to wait for Merek. <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Leiyn was mostly incapacitated as she laid there in the woman's arms. She closed her eyes and willingly accepted the food that was offered to her. Her head lay against the woman's shoulder where her other hand kept Leiyn's head still. Leiyn was listening... Her attention was on the guards. The food didn't really matter at this point. Yes, it was good to actually have something in her stomach, but she'd been starved for such long periods of time between meals, this was not a feeling that she was unused to. The sounds of the guards' voices echoed into the cell, allowing her to hear them. What? Her lightsaber was still around somewhere?... Or had they destroyed it... -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: A wave of disgust washed over her from the thought of having her only link to the past (aside from Leato and Murra) taken away from her. The Crimson Mist was gone and no longer hers-- not that it ever really was hers to begin with... She continued to listen to their words as their conversation continued. "Jedi are supposed to be tougher than that... I wouldn't be surprised if she had abandoned the Order or something." The other scoffed. "What do you know about Jedi?" The other sounded as if he'd been scolded. "Not much-- just what you learn about them on the holonet, right?" The other grunted agreement. There were footsteps approaching. A gruff, older voice giving commands. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: "A new set of guards is being posted here. You two have been slacking. Up to the sentry post." She listened as three new sets of feet appraoched her cell. They walked different. Heavier. The other two-- the two from before-- walked away. Her gaze became slightly unfocused as she focused on the footsteps leading away. Their boots echoed on the durasteel underneath their feet. Hollow sounding. It sounded like a ramp of sorts-- clanging with each step they took. Shaky, but sturdy. Then the softer footfalls on some other kind of material. Then they stopped. She assumed that they were at their sentry posts at this point... Where was she, exactly? Was it was a detention center? Well, wherever it was, it was on the lower level of a large two level room. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: She wondered, vaguely, if it was underground... She suspected so. Hell, she -could- smell the sewers... Stupid fuckers. Who in their right mind would put a prison sector right above the sewers? Wasnt the point of taking prisoners to keep them alive? -e-
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: He nodded, then took one hand off the 74-Z's controlls, placing it just behind his ear, shouting over the wind. "Group 3, bug out, return to shuttle. Regroup there. No need to get mixed up in the crowds." The wind was whipping past at three hundred miles per hour, and the hum of the speeder-bike was strong enough to block out quite a bit of sound, but the device had good pick-up, and also was good at making sure its wearer heard it. A hill was coming up overhead. He pulled up, glidding over it, and giving him a view for thirty kilometers. With the throttle opened up it was only a few minutes before they crossed the distance, as they we making excellent time. It took a mere three minutes to get that far. The big furred creature hoped that their target would live long enough to make it <c>
wookie_kabraka: that far as she was still clinging to life. <e> (Kabe)
Merek seeing the creature approach him in a paniced run, choose an option at random. He could have shot the thing, or he could have done a number of things. He leaned back a bit, then brought his left foot forward, as his right was near his ribs, and paused for a moment, just a split second as his focus shone like sunlight glinting off the blade of a sword. Then as his left foot touched down, his body moved forward, and turned. The motion started at the ball of his right foot, his heel snapping up and out, starting his leg, hips, body, and shoulder moving, as he leaned his upper body into the strike that he'd performed 10,000 times before. His hand traveled forward with such velocity, energy, and force that it seemed as though it could have <c>
wookie_kabraka: stopped a hovertruck, or at least a furious wookiee. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: With the city growing farther and farther behind them, Murra allowed her mind to refocus on Leiyn who waited across the distance before them. She slumped forward naturally, her hands resting on the metal casing and padding of the seat she shared with Kabe. She was breathing deeply, having shut her eyes in order to block out the wind. She would not be able to affect their surroundings, to divert the strong breeze as she would have liked. They would be there in a matter of hours, her focus on Leiyn's signature would diminish across the expanse as it would not be needed at so powerful a level while they were closer to her. Murra shook her head slightly, fighting to stave off sleep. She had not fully recovered from the incident back aboard the Veritas. But she would make it, Murra would <C>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: But she would make it, Murra would force herself to move past the frailties of the flesh in order to complete the mission as she had done so many times before. This deffinately would not be the first time Murra abused her body for the sake of a mission. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: the darkly clad creature barely saw the blow comming. its eyes had been focused on the world beyond the man infront of it. as the palm of merek's hand collided with its chest, the creature felt his breath leave him in a rush of pain. an oof sound escaped it as hte force of the blow sent it flying backward into the crates against the wall at the end of the alley. it landed hard agaisnt them, breaking them into peices. the creatures body crumpled to the ground and there it lay motionless. <C>
angelove51682: anna's eyes scanned the croud. she hoped merek was alright. logan kept close to her back and followed her as she wove in and out of the sea of people. she heard kabe's voice and the wind causing minor amount of feedback over the com. she didnt think answering them would have done any good. she didnt know if he would hear her or not. she would have told him that they were on their way back already and that they would wait there for merek. she was relieved to see the transport up ahead. they would soon be there. this big of a croud was starting to make her nervous. that and not knowing what was going on with merek. she would have to talk to him over the com once they had reached the ship. <c>
angelove51682: she was glad logan was still with her. atleast she wasnt alone. <e>
Leiyn: trapped_in_turmoil: *Leiyn heaved a sigh as another spoonful of food was pushed into her mouth. She opened her eyes a little and made the extra effort to hlep feed herself. Her hand lifted up and gently gripped the front of the woman's dress. Her hands were shaking from the lack of strength-- combined with starvation and the beatings she regularly recieved-- she was really surprised she could move of her free will at all. She closed her eyes again and ate what the woman offered her. Not long after, she was beginning to feel sleepy again. She did not want to sleep, though she knew she needed it. Her body craved it. Demanded it. Still, she would not relent... Something nagged at her. Told her to stay awake. It was not the Force. Only common sense. The guards were acting peculiar. Something -had- to be up... -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: Could one of the bosses be coming to pay her a visit? Or... maybe they had eventually decided to kill her off. Or transport her elsewhere. Whatever it was, she did not want to cooperate in any way. She may have been incapacitated, but that did not mean she was completely helpless... She'd scream bloody murder before she let them lay their hands on her. -e-
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Already finding himself tiring of the wind, Kabe began to imagine a very smooth and sturdy eggshell around them, splitting through the wind and guiding it around them. At first there were no results, but as his focus increased, he got better at it. He already had the experience needed to create a Force Shield, from years ago, but he was sooo out of practice. Soon though, the winds were easing. Subtly he asked the Force to take over, and flow through him, shaping the reality he wanted. Within moments the wind was only moving about 90 kilometers per hour around them. With these speeds, a bug could put out an eye, but with the shield up, they would either be completely deflected by the layer of energy, the moving air, or if they made it through, there would be no actual danger for Murra or <c>
wookie_kabraka: himself. <e> (Kabe)
Merek knelt down in the pile of dura-plast crates containing the person he'd just dropped. He kept his pistol square against its forehead, and began riffling its pockets. He found an expensive chrono-meter, the pouch that Sheridan had given Anna, and close to a thousand credits. That's about the time he felt the cold muzzle of a blaster touch the back of his neck. He slipped the watch into the pouch, and grabbed one of the capsules. "Hands up," came a cold, electronically emitted voice. He put his hands up. "Drop it." He dropped the pouch, and the capsule which cracked, and began leaking the invisible nerve-toxin. "Stand up." He did. Then, he realized if the voice was electrontic, then it was either a droid, or someone in armor which could handle the nerve toxin. With the gun <c>
wookie_kabraka: now at the center of his back, the moment he stood he snapped into motion, with a slight step to the right and a sharp twist of his torso. Out of reflex his would-be captor fired. The sound of blaster-fire, not a stun-shot. The whizzing bolt slammed into the alley wall, blasting a small crater into it. Because his arms were up, his elbow came around and checked the wannabe's forearm, knocking the gun even further off the centerline form him. His left foot circled around only a foot's distance, but this shifted his stance so that the law-enforcement official wearing old storm-trooper armor had an arm in front of merek's chest. Down came his left hand, catching the wrist, and pulled up, while his right hand came down and stripped the gun out of his foe's hand. His left knee came up and <c>
wookie_kabraka: snapped into the officer's elbow, then his leg folded over, and snapped sideways into the 'stormie's ribs, lifting it off the ground, but he didn't go anywhere as Merek still had ahold of the arm. As he set his foot down, he slammed his right elbow into the faceplate, as hard as he could, then his hand slipped back to his opponent's gloved hand, and twisted to the outside, as he brought hsi right foot around, spinning him sharply counter-clockwise, to flip the stormie and break it's wrist, which he landed on the faceplate, next to the jaw with his knee, silencing the short scream. He reached down and stripped the helmet off, without really looking, then stood and headed back out into the street. Behind him, lay the unconcious figure of a pretty red-head, who was now unconcious but would<c>
wookie_kabraka: be in a fair amount of pain when she woke. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Something rippled out to Murra, there was a change in the manner of the compound. Things were going on behind the scenes and the Force was only giving her hints as to what it could be. Were they becoming increasingly aware of the speeder's advance? She hoped to the ninth level of the blazing corellian hell that wasn't the case. "Kabe, we might have a bigger situation at the compound." she muttered softly into her com unit. He would be able to hear her clearly, her right hand having come up to gently touch the area behind her ear that would activate the unit. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: finally they were near the transport. anna palmed the release pannel for the hatch and waited for hte ramp to drop. she entered with logan behind her. as soon as she crossed the threshold, her finger found its way behind her ear. she spoke to merek hoping he would answer her. "merek? can you hear me?" she waited for a response. her eyes watching logan nervously. something was happening somewhere, but she couldnt tell if it was with merek or what. <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Leiyn was finally beginning to feel better as her stomach processed the food. It was slowly returning a little strength to her. It sharpened her mind a little more, too. One would be surprised what nutrients a starving body can scrounge out of such little food and water. She looked up at the woman and managed the slightest of smiles. Her dull gray eyes did most of the smiling for her, though. The woman then left her there to lie on the table, promising to return every half hour to make sure she was still awake... As soon as the woman had left her holding cell, the captain of the guard stood in the doorway and smirked at her. "Guess who's decided to make a surprise visit to the City?" Leiyn was clueless as to who it could possibly be... Surely no-one she knew. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: Leiyn couldn't sit up. Couldn't shrug. So she lifted one hand and flipped it over in a gesture as if to say, 'tell me, already.' The guard's smirk widened into a malicious grin. "Our boys have been monitoring the radios... It seems that the infamous Sheridan Karrde has paid a visit to the City... You never know when she'll show up to intrude upon our Boss's hopsitality..." He stepped back out of the doorway, leaving Leiyn frowning... Genuinely puzzled. Who the hell was Sheridan Karrde? Was she a good guy or a bad guy? Ah, well... Why did the captain of the guards even bother saying anything to her? ... The answer soon came as two more guards came in and held her down, sticking a needle into her thigh. It was only seconds before she began to feel her body going completely slack. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: Again, she was beginning to think this was another form of torture. They took no care to keep her from moving her head, grabbing her by the arms and dragging her out of the cell. Her vision was blurred, but she could still make things. The ramp leading upwards away from her cell connected to a platform above-- circling around the entire upper half of the room. Only on one wall was there an exit-- directly to the left after reaching the top of the ramp. They took her to a turbo-lift and up two of three levels. She couldn't keep track, exactly. She closed her eyes and let them drag her. Her left leg hurt horribly from where it had been broken and set and had absolutely no time to heal itself. She did, however, keep track of the corridors they dragged her down. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: One long corridor down to the left-- the sounds of a generator nearby. Then a sharp turn to the right-- and into a large, cool room. She was helpless to their mercies-- but torture was not what they had in mind. They took their time to bathe her, wash her hair, change her clothes... When it was over, she had heaved a sigh of relief. There had been no rape this time. The guards had plopped her down into one of the chairs from there, then waited for their captain to arrive. When the captain got there, he was holding her lightsaber in his hand. Leiyn's eyes immediately narrowed. Despite not being able to move, she muttered the only word she could think of, though it came out slurred. "Sunuvabitch." The guard took the handle of her lightsaber and slapped her right across the cheek with it, -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: splattering blood across the front of her clean shirt and the plush of the chair she was sitting in. Her gray eyes shifted back to him as he spoke. "We'll have none of that, young lady..." His tone was cold and decisive. He already knew what he would do with her, but what... was beyond her own imagination could muster at the moment. "If the Boss comes down to pay you a visit, you be civil... If you're not, you'll suffer for it." Leiyn said nothing, her eyes following him as he left the room. For the time being... they let her be. And let her sit there... Her hair was unbraided and fell down into her face, hiding the silent tears that streaked her face... -e-

Kabe: wookie_kabraka: "Something at the compound you say... " He sighed, and closed his eyes. He had a few minutes of clear skies. Perhaps, he could ferret out what it was. He was often decent at finding the root causes of things, and so this might be a situation where that would prove useful. Surely they couldn't have known what was afoot. However, communication's traffic had been heavy. If they had a listening post set up nearby, or even in the port city they'd come into, they would have picked it up. He regretted that this <c>
wookie_kabraka: wasn't being executed with military precision, but.. some days you just had to 'wing it'. Besides, improv was what he was really good at. They knew something was up though, different. "I agree, something is up. They're nervous... itchy." He shook his furred head as the wind brushed past, clearing it away from his eyes. The wind felt good, seeping to his skin under the furr, cooling him off in the hot sun. "How long ago did you pick this up anyway?" Maybe a clue in the length of time since this started would give an insight. <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: "Just after we left the city," she said into her com unit, tucking her head down between her shoulders and leaning back into him for support. She would need to shut her eyes before they got to the compoud, other wise her legs would be shakey and should they get into a fight she would not be up to par. "And they moved her. I am not too sure of how far yet, Kabe, but they did have a reason for it. It doesn't quiet feel like they know they have Jedi in coming, so I would guess it has something to do with someone else that came down as we landed." Ahead of them, Murra searched with both her eyes and the Force. Things at teh compound were begining to feel like an insect hive. People moved here and there, gaurds were put on edge. Whatever they were anticipating, <C>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: had to be big enough to put them onto high alert. <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Leiyn simply sat there, tears streaking her cheeks... A young woman-- close to her own age-- came in a while later and brushed out her hair and braided it. She wiped Leiyn's tears away and smiled down at her. The captive vaguely wondered who she was. Why she was doing it. She doubted it was out of the kindness of her heart like the old woman who'd taken care of her all this time. Then the young woman splinted her leg and wrapped it up tight. The guards helped to lift Leiyn up out of the chair. "I'm supposed to take you outside for some fresh air... Would you like that?" Leiyn let a smile of irony play across her lips and nodded slowly. If anything, she shouldn't be moving. But... -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: If they wanted to give her a chance of knowing how to escape, let them have their way. She was in no condition to go anywhere, anyhow. Her vision blurred as they led her back to the turbo-lift that she'd come up to get here, and went up another 4 levels. This time, she was able to count clearly. After they had gotten off the turbo-lift, they half walked-- half dragged-- her down a long hallway immediately in front of them. They stepped through a door to the left and walked her past a desk and out through a set of glass doors and out onto a balcony... They were on the highest overlook in the compound. They sat her down in a chair and a pair of restraints clamped around her wrists. She heaved a sigh and let her eyes roam over the compound layout around her. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: From here, she could see the front gate to the compound. Two small towers with guards stationed there lie on each side of the gate. Inside, there were speeders and speeder bikes parked outside a large hanger. There were several smaller buildings-- the one she was in being the center, with 3 buildings to the left against one of the perimeter compound walls-- the exact same on the opposite side-- and from the size of the main building, she was assuming this building was against the back perimeter wall. There were two other, smaller gates in the compound stationed between the 2nd and 3rd buildings towards the back wall-- but the front was the only one that anyone besides personel was going to get through. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: After sitting there for half hour or so-- she let her eyes roam out over the horizon. Nothing around anywhere in sight to her eyes, but she was sure the city couldn't be too far. A few hours, maybe. Perhaps a little more? Then, the restraints were released and the guards hefted her up. "We're supposed to treat you with hospitality until Sheridan Karrde leaves the planet... So you may be brought out here again in the next couple of days." The young woman's tone became hard as Leiyn met her eyes. "Treasure it while you can." She glanced at the guards and nodded. "Take her back to the other cell we've prepared for her." With that said, they dragged Leiyn back to the detention area. The stench of sewer was nowhere near as bad. Had it been a leak that they had just been neglecting? -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: They put her in a new cell-- one of the ones that was on the top half of the two story room. They did not take her down the ramp-- but put her in a clean cell that had a force field instead of a durasteel door. She could see the ramp directly in front of her. This one had a bed and a table. Gods be praised... -e-
Kabe: wookie_kabraka: "Well, we -did- come down with Sheridan, and these guys are supposed to be smugglers. Sheridan Karrde is -the- biggest name in the underground and smuggling community." He re let a hand leave the controls only to pat her reassuringly on teh shoulder as they sped along, feeling her weight lean back agaisnt him. "... You know, she does like to take over or incorporate people or competitors. Perhaps a business deal would make new additions to her network of smugglers." An idea was beginning to form int the wookiee's mind.. the smuggler and scoundrel part of him coming to the forefront. "For now... for all intents and purposes, we pretty much are Sheridan's people. Might be a good idea to check in on these smugglers for Mrs. Karrde, ostensibly showing interest in their group, and <c>
wookie_kabraka: entertaining the idea of a business deal, and possibly an alliance. That would get us in, more favorably than say, carving our way through the doors. And.. its much easier to get a tour as guests they wanna treat nicely." <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: She let out a deep sigh with a heavy nod. The sun baring down on the both of them was begining to get to the human female. She could not redirect the heat, nor could she sheild herself from the sun, not like she had learned to do on Tatooine so long ago. Her mind was still busy elsewhere, too busy to put effort into such a thing. "Sounds like a plan to me, Kabe. One question, though," she said, leaning even further into his husky and protective form, giving herself the benefit of whatever shadow he was casting over her own body. "How are we going to slip our lightsabers past security. They are bound to have weapon scanners and security stops along the way. Even if we are Sheridan's people, they will start asking questions once they get a sense of what we are brining in with us..."<C>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She opened her eyes, only to quickly shut them. The sun had blurred her vision, causing a schorching sensation to rip through her mind, nearly breaking her concentration on the Force. "Kabe, we need to stop for a short bit. This sun is going ot murder my vision." <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Leiyn sat in her cell and sat down on the bunk. She pushed the pillow behind her back and sat back against the durasteel wall, propping one leg up next to her body and extending her left leg which had been broken... She ran a hand down the makeshift splint, sighing a little. They hadn't even reset it again before splinting it. Not thought that perhaps.... dragging her and wrestling her down to a table would not misplace the resent of the bone? Again... words liek 'nitwit' and 'dumbass' flit through her mind. A slight smile played across her lips. Her gaze shifted outside of the force field and stared hard at the guard who was standing outside her cell. It wasn't long before he turned around to look at her, giving her a nasty little sadistic look. Leiyn simply smiled at him, -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: trying to intentionally antagonize him... She dared him to touch her. She'd love to see what the Captain said if he touched her-- especially when they were trying to be so... 'hospitable' with the infamous Sheridan Karrde in the city nearby... -e-
Logan: dark_knight1701: Dark stood guard outside their ship, glancing through the crowd for Merek, keeping his eyes on Anna, watching her grow more nervous by the second. Since Merek was gone, Anna was the next in line for command of the group (unless of course Murra or Kabe needed them). His body demanded he help in the rescue in a more obvious way, but his time would come. Instead he glanced between the crowd and Anna. <e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: Hearing her need for shade, Kabe nodded. He nudged the speederbike into higher altitude, eyeing the landscape then curved on a shallow arc to the left, spotting a small grove of trees a klick out. He throttled back, and then dropped his concentration on the egg-shell shield, bringing back a hard gust of wind for a moment which died away as their speed dropped to something closer to sanity, smoothly slidding under the shade, and he then powered down the bike. "Here, this should be good for now." He patted her gently along the hip, urging her to get off, as it was indeed cooler here, and his ears were ringing from the auditory fatigue of constantly hearing the drone of the bike. "Now, security... that shouldn't be too bad." He slid off the bike and headed to a comfortable looking tree-base. <e> (Kabe)
razorkiss: Merek knelt down, checking the vitals of the red-head woman he'd dropped. He quickly collected the pouch, and tucked it away sending a silent thanks to Sheridan. The things had helped out already, and proven to be useful, even if it did just cause more trouble. He took a moment to wipe away the remains of the capsule he'd used, getting as much residue up as he could, then quickly removed the fingerprints he'd left and as much genetic evidence as he could, then stood, putting on his shades. He placed his fingertip to the com behind his ear. "Yeah, I'm alright. Ran into a little trouble, nothing I couldn't handle. Boss never did mention how long the effects of these things last, did she?" As he spoke he was already heading back into the street, <c>
razorkiss: disappearing into the crowd as he headed toward the spaceport. Talk about a damn day... Hope I don't get busted for that. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: She hung tight, waiting with shut eyes for the bike to come to a stop. She could feel the coolness of the shade as it washed over her, giving a cool adn stining breeze to her slightly reddened forehead. She should have worn some kind of protection on her face. Not that it would really matter, in the time it would take them to rest, her body would be able to recover enough so that it would appear to be a deep tan, not a sunburn. As Kabe patted her thigh, Murra rose, using her balance to get off of the speeder. She manuvered herself slowly toward a near by tree and sat down, having opened her eyes to do so. They still hurt, but it was not as bad as it had been. They were already healing the damage that had been done. "Even still, how do you suppose we slip our lightsabers past the scanners?"<e>
Anna: annabell_tremour: relief spread through anna's body. she was glad to hear merek's voice come arcoss the com. her relief turned to curiosity. she pressed her finger agaisnt hte coma gain and spoke to him "i dont recall her mentioning it.. why.. what happened?" her eyes were still fixed on logan as she spoke to merek. this was turning out to be one hell of a day. she hoped merek hadnt done anything to give them unwanted attention.
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Leiyn shifted her body on the bunk in her cell, moving to lay down on the bunk. She looked around for something to throw-- anything at all-- and decided to throw her pillow instead. Since eating, being cleaned, and being all around well-treated except for the whole b eing slapped-in-the-face-with-her-own-lightsaber, she was beginning to feel alot better... Her strength was returning in little bits. Of course, her anger helped to fuel her strength, too. She was in the mood to piss them off. Get them into trouble with their superiors. The pillow went flying towards the force field and slapped against it very close to the wall. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: The noise of the thud against the force field combining with the sizzle and smell of burning fabric startled the guard outside her cell and immediately turned around to look at her, blaster in hand. When he saw the pillow on the floor, he simply glared at her again. "Jedi Bitch," he grumbled under his breath and turned back around... Leiyn couldn't help but smile. However, the feeling of triumph in pissing the guard off came at a heavy price. As soon as the adrenaline stopped rushing, her head pounded and her vision blurred. Dizziness washed over her and her stomach heaved. Now, she knew she had to keep her head still. And so, she curled up into a ball on her bunk and closed her eyes, trying to block out from the pain once again. Heaving sucked... -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: She'd actually been fed for the first time in a few days-- she'd hate to lose it already... Meanwhile, outside in the compound, the guards were gathering in a small circle to talk. Things were changing a little too quickly-- there had been some confusion-- and they were sorting it out amongst themselves. There was no more talk about the Jedi anymore, they decided. If Sheridan Karrde was coming, then the fact that they were holding an alleged Jedi would remain a secret... -e-

(LAST ONE, I PROMISE!)
Adia Estrina: txt_laura_lei_txt: The time for meditation, and seeking solitude in the force has finally come to an end, not to mention the rolling plains of the lowlands of Anobis. She felt that she needed to go now and that is exactly what she did and while in the air her thoughts were as still and subtle flowing as a lake on a windless day. Now sitting in the cockpit of her shuttle that has its coordinates set the for that planet that was just a mere step away....Ord Mantell. While slipping on a brown leather vest that of her off white shirt that bloused around her wrist and her waist, she was now preparing to eventually meet back up with the ones who had left Bastion shortly prior to her own departure from there. <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: Knowing she would have to land along the equator and then take a shuttle to another location she found it more appropriate to set up a secure line to reach the Veritas. "HC-14, I need a line to the Veritas, and make is secure one please." she asks her floating droid. "Beep, Beep, rrrrrrrr" it say before spinning around and floating off to fulfill her request. He eyes would shift along the paneling while waiting for the line to be established and when a red light began to blink on the paneling before picking up the come device. "...Veritas...connecting the Veritas..." she would say before pausing briefly. "HC...can you make the line slightly clearer?" <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: she would asks before attempting to speak into the comm. "Is there anyone on the Veritas...this is Jedi Estrina requesting a quick, if possible, briefing on your location and status" she would say before going silent waiting for a response. <e>
Sheridan Karrde: sheridan_karrde: ~Sheridan lead Leato through the streets of the city. She kept glancing at her watch just to make it seem like she was in a hurry to be off this godforsaken rock. They rented an XP-39 Landspeeder to get them to where Leiyn was being held as quickly as possible. She had Leato lead her in the general direction but said nothing but what was necessary to him. It might make him angry but, he had at least calmed for the time being. Hopefully everything was going well with Murra and they would not be needed. But then, perhaps she wasnt that lucky. One could only hope. <e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: "This is Veritas Control to Contact Estrina. There is currently a group on the ground, three small teams. Team Leaders are General Tekal, Mrs Sheridan Karrde, and Leutenant Stele. Their com-code is... 211.38."
"The Force can have a strong influence on the weak-minded, Master Tekal. I dont know about you, but it's easy to make a guard forget they saw something." He sighed. "As for a pat-down, I have a false bottom built into my pouch." He patted the one at his hip. "Big enough for two sabers, really." His head snapped up, feeling a new disturbance. Quickly he raised a hand back toward the city, then toward the sky. "Somebody new just showed up." He sighed and shook his head. It was a familiar presence, especially since he'd spent a couple weeks with that person, but he didn't know her as well as he would have liked. <e> (Kabe)
razorkiss: Merek sighed, replying quietly over the com. "I caught the pickpocket. Kinda... knocked the crap out of him when he tried to get away from me. I was getting your stuff back when a law enforcement officer spotted me, and got the drop on me. Probably thought I was robbin' the guy. Anyway, I took care of her, and gassed the both of 'em. Dunno how long it will be before they wake up." <c>
razorkiss: Quickly he brushed past another small group of people, now moving with swift and sure purpose, instead of on a leisurely stroll like before, and it was only a few moments before he entered the walkway that lead toward the 'port. <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: "Yes, Kabe, it only works on the weak minded. We do not know how it will affect the gaurds until we try to use it. And let's face it, "she said, pushing herself up against the tree trunk behind her a bit stiffly, "even if it does affect some of the gaurds, it might not affect them all." She nodded to his observation about someone having joined them in the skies. "The Veritas will take care of them, Kabe, wether they be friendly or not. My men know how to handle visitors. If they are Jedi they will be welcomed with open arms. My crew knows well enough to not interfere should the word 'Jedi' be mentioned." She sighed again, stiffling a yawn. "Don't worry about it, for now, Big Brother, I don't sense any ill intent from above." She shut her eyes, once more, allowing<C>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: The cool air to filter deeply into her skin, starting the natural healing processes of her form. <e>
Anna: annabell_tremour: a sigh passed by anna's lips. she shook her head and closed her eye for a moment. him getting caught like that was not good. atleast he managed to get her stuff back and to get away safetly without any physical harm done to himself. she hoped to the gods that he wouldnt get caught for that little stunt. she waited a moment and pressed her com again. "well.. just get back to the ship, logan and i are here waiting." she knew he would come back here without her telling him where they were. her eyes moved to the space beyond the landing ramp of their transport, searching for merek. she would watch nervously until he was in her sights again. making her way down the landing ramp, she stood next to Logan and waited. <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Everything seemed to fade to black for a time. She had passed out at some point, opening her eyes to find the guard had changed positions once more. In fact, now there were two. One stationed on each side of her cell, standing a foot or so away from the force field. Her pillow lay on the bed at the foot of her bed, blackened in a few spots from where it had been singed against the force field. She did not move her head, not wanting to hurl the contents of her stomach (or lack there of), and simply smiled. "HEY! Since when did I get the pleasure of being guarded by two pussies instead of men?" she calls, her eyes closing for only a moment as a wave of dizziness washed over her. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: The sound of her own voice louder than normal volume echoed inside of her head, pounding more than just a little. The guards both turned to look at her, one of them scowling and reaching for the control panel that disabled the force field... The other put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head. "She's trying to unnerve you. Its working, too. Just don't listen to her-- its not like we can hurt her anyway. Not until that Karrde woman leaves the planet." The other lowered his hand, but continued to glare at Leiyn... The young woman only smiled and made an obscene gesture with her fingers and mouth-- which only infuriated the guard even more... Though this time, he said nor did anything... -e-
Adia Estrina: txt_laura_lei_txt: After getting the update on what was happening and the location she would just be entering Ord Mantell's atmosphere prepping her landing gear. After taking a few moments to land she would eventually with HC-14 floating by her side start making the journey to where she would catch a shuttle that would carry her close to the location of Merek's group. It was a nice little trek, say about 10 minute, but once there and on board everything seemed to be smooth sailing as of now having her wonder how long that was going to last.It would not be long before the shuttle would arrive at its intended destination and Adia, along with her droid HC-14 would be there shortly." she says trying to assure her droid who was being just a tad bit pessimistic. <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: Although she was not sure of the approximate location she was sure that she would eventually run into them sooner or later. "Beep,Bop,rrrrr,Bop" chimes her droid. She would sigh before responding "Yes, HC-14 I am sure that I am going in the right direction." "Beep, Beep,Bop.Beep" it would chime again. "What do you mean we are slightly off?" she would ask the droid with a raised eye brow."Rrrr,Bop,Beep" it says. "Everything does not consist of straight lines HC-14...we should be there shortly." she says trying to assure her droid who was being just a tad bit pessimistic. <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: It would only be a matter of time before they would eventually run into one of the ground groups and hopefully that would not be long from now. Adia was more than ready to get back to what this mission; fore, she has been away for just a little bit too long.<e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: "Yeah, well what would they do about Leato? I wouldn't exactly call the clone a Jedi. More like a pain in the ass." He leaned his head back against the tree, then reached out with the Force, giving the bike a small nudge, sending it drifting over to him on its repulsor field. He began to use a small tool-set, or the Force when needed to take the com unit out of the bike, as he was fixing to work a patch into it. Once it was free he sat back down on the ground, glancing over to Murra, then back to his work. <e> (Kabe)
Merek shook his head. "I see you, Cap'n, and Dark too." They were a few hundred meters away, but with the clear sun from the sky they could see him plain as day. "Have we heard anything out of Sheridan?" He didn't know if she'd tried to get ahold of htem, but supposedly the<c>
razorkiss: tried to get ahold of htem, but supposedly the micro-coms they'd been given were based on an open channel. Hopefully, she'd at least respond to the chatter. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Murra shook her head, giving a wave of dismissal as Leato was mentioned. "I wouldn't worry about him. There is not much he can do, as far as I am concerned." she opened her eyes and watched Kabe tinker with the speeder. "And even should he try anything, I made a strict promise to someone important to me that I would not allow him to endanger the lives of those present.' she shrugged slightly, " He knows that to do anything that would endager anyone would bring about a wrath he would rather not incure right now...." She yawned, placing her hand over her mouth so as not to seem rude. "Are you going to be alright for a while Kabe?" She needed to sleep before they got to the compound, other wise she would be running lower on energy then she was already. <e>
Anna: annabell_tremour: spotting merek, a smile slid onto anna's lips. her nervousness faded. she was truely glad that he was alright. that smile would have been the first genuine smile since they had left the veritas. since then she had been hiding her feelings behind the facade of a woman she would have rather like to forget. instead of rushing forward to meet him, anna forced herself to stay with logan by the transport. it would not look good for her to react to seeing him in such a manner. her eyes stayed fixed on him as he drew near. her hands found their way once more to the pockets of her jacket. <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *The anger of the guards was becoming more and more obvious as she taunted them with a totally false condescending and vulgar persona... After a while, she fell asleep from the tiredness of the entire day. She had been woken by the woman who had taken care of her all this time, given food for whenever she wanted to eat, and an extra change of clothes. Leiyn allowed the woman to fuss over small details-- her hair, her nails... and made sure that she did the best she could to ease the swelling in Leiyn's cheek from where the Captain had hit her with her own lightsaber... She reset the leg and resplinted it-- the pain giving Leiyn the extra sharp edge of awareness that she needed... At this point, she was aware of a group of guards and personel gathering in some room nearby. -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: She couldn't hear them talking, but it was obvious that they were. They walked in small groups-- three or four at a time-- and all headed through the single door that led out of the detention area. Some even stopped, pointed to her, a few laughed... And Leiyn would shout something obscene at them. Once, she had earned herself a smack from the middle aged woman who sat in the chair with her inside her cell... "I'm ready for them to either let me go or kill me... or recruit me. Whats the point in just keeping me..." she says, grumbling. Inwardly, she was only wanting out. She wanted Orin back. She wanted... a life. She had promised Orin, her father, Jeryndi... that if she lived, she'd change. She had every intention of doing just that... -e-
Adia Estrina: txt_laura_lei_txt: Adia, from time to time, would check her com device listening in on the channel that she had used to contact them. However, she would come up with another plan. "HC-14...can you narrow in on the transmission of my com device?" is what she would ask the droid, and withing the next moment he would beep before attempting to narrow in on the channel that thy have been using. "Beep, Bop." it chimes. "Oh, I did not realize that they were that close to us." she says as she turns to her right, glancing in the direction general direction of Merek."Do you know which one it...HC, get back here." she would say to the run away droid that would be following <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: the signal that was identical to the one they had been using to keep in touch with the others, which was no more than about 50 yards away.<e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: Looking over at Murra, he shook his head. "I've gone on watch in the shadowlands over my boys, after three days of no sleep and been fine, and that was without the Force, General." He gave her a wookiee grin at using her "title" among the crew of the Veritas, and shook his head. "The worst enemy I'll have to deal with here is boredem." With a shrug he went back to his work pulling out a small datapad and began melding the regular comlink into the bike's com unit, so that they would have the transimission power to reach the Veritas or the rest of the group back at the port. It would take a little while but it was doable. That and once he did so, the Veritas would be able to use the bike's com-slave system to be able to get an exact fix on them. <e> (Kabe)
razorkiss: Merek shook his head as a shuttle that had landed a little bit ago exuded one person, and a spherical droid, similar to the training remotes that had been used by the military to teach movement, targeting and firing techniques. You had to be quick to avoid those suckers, and had to be a decent shot to hit 'em too. This one was bigger, and looked like the smaller version had mated with an interrogation droid, which was the bastard child of a medical droid. He perked a brow and paid it no mind until the thing began to rush toward him. -That- had him worried. His right hand drew the DH-44 at his right thigh, the gun beginning to whine as he brought it up with both hands, pulling lightly on the trigger to send a beam of green laserlight speeding through the daytime air. <c>
razorkiss: He found the dot it made as his aimpoint and swung it around to mark the droid, but his finger was not yet on the trigger. He would wait. <e> (Merek)
Anna: annabell_tremour: out of the corner of her eye, she saw the new transport land. she thought nothing of it until the droid exitied followed by someone. the droid had gone of rushing toward merek. what the hell? her smile slid from her face and she began forward, as she saw the glint of the sunlight reflect off of merek's gun. what was going on here.. who was this droid and this person that were now heading towards merek. logan followed behind her keeping up with her pace. it would be a few moments before she got to where merek was. determination set in her face. she knew he wouldnt pull the trigger unless he was given reason to, it wasnt like him to betray his training like that.. <c>
annabell_tremour: her hands fell from her pockets and balled into fists at her side. she felt waves of clamness being emitted from logan, but she pushed them away as best she could. her eyes and mind stayed focused on merek, the blaster in his hand, the droid before him and the other firgure heading at him. <e>
Adia Estrina: txt_laura_lei_txt: The hovering droid would be heading for the spot where Merek was with Adia right behind it. Quite a energetic thing it was and very handy too, being able to perform a lot of the major functions of the typical astromech droid. "HC-14, will you stop..." Adia says calling out to the droid. It would stop momentarily and spin around to Adia "Beep,Beep, rrrrrr,Beep." then spin back around and begin to move forward again. "What?! I am not jealous that I can't fly!" she says while closing the gap on it to maybe a foot or two. <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: She still was not quite sure as to where it was going or who it had narrowed down to. "Will you slow down?" she says trying to keep up with it "Beep, Bop, Beep!" it chimes back "Don't be ridiculous, this is not a race." she would state to it. It would then stop with another 7 feet to go and spin around to Adia "Bop,Beep, Bop" and she would respond "I do not move slower than a Hutt Slug!" she states to it with slight paranoia. <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: She would finally catch up with it and move in front while trying her best to conceal the lightsaber on her right hip while keeping in mind that jedi aren't quite liked around here. "Don't do that again HC-14...it is not safe around here." she says to the droid before it simulates a spitting sound to her. She'd shake her head and take the lead now knowing who to go to "You can put your blaster away, he is harmless...for the most part." she says while glancing back at the droid. <c>
txt_laura_lei_txt: "You have to excuse his excess amount of energy...I am Jedi Estrina, and I've been searching for you all for quite some time now." she says explaining her droids hyperactivity, and introducing herself. <e>
Kabe/Merek: razorkiss: "Deadline," he murmured to himself inquisitorily. Nobody had told him this was a timed event. Speed was needed though. He shook his head, and began the patching process. It wasn't a physical patch, but setting up a relay between the micro-coms, the comlink, and the bike's com unit so that they could use either the micro-coms or the comlink to talk to the Veritas without hauling the bulk of the bike around all the time. The afternoon breeze stirred against his fur as he continued his work. It didn't take long, but it was a small bit of a pain. Then he sat back with his back against the tree and went to playing a game. <e> (Kabe)
Merek watched the woman approach, his gun lowering slowly. The two seemed to be rather relaxed, at least the female did by her body language. She wasn't posing a threat, nor did she have the look of someone going after someone with his kind of talents... until she mentioned the word Jedi. This time the gun while still lowered, was now centered on her left thigh, adn it would only take a twitch to fire. Granted the gun was still on stun, but even so, that would slow anybody down, if it didnt outright put them to sleeep for a few hours, which the weapon was set for max power. It could take down a wookiee with a good shot. "Lieutenant Merek Stele." He transfered the gun to his left hand, and extended his right in greeting. "What can I do for you master Jedi?" Sure he was being formal, but he didn't trust most Jedi to start with anyway. <e> (Merek)
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: It would not have taken too long for Murra to catch her energy. The moment she had closed her eyes and surrendered to sleep, the Force had taken over. She did not dream, thankfully, but she did catch a good glimpse of what awaited them at the compound. So, as it was, Murra jumped awake with a start, taking in a deep breath to assure herself that she was still alive, lounging on the sand and that it was not just a dream to be here on a mission. She shook her head slightly and glanced at Kabe. He was playign a game of some kind. Murra cleared her throat and pushed herself to sit up. Was it only moments that she had been asleep? Her internal crono was telling her nothing as far as information in that department went. "How long was I out, Kabe?..." <c>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: But before hte wookie would be able to answer she shook her head and sighed, pushing herself to her feet, drawing her vibro blade with her left hand. "On second thought, I don't really want to know." she was in continuous motion, wrapping her right hand through her long black hair and pulling it out and away from her neck. With her hand in this position she would be free to commit to the movement of her blade. She put her left hand behind her head, angling the blade so that she would not cut her scalp and pulled upward, cutting through the bundle of hair that had laid against the back of her neck. The weight had been lifted, the heat against the skin there relieved. She took another swift swipe with the blade, cutting the hair on the back of her head a bit shorter.<c>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: Not saying any more words to Kabe, Murra went about destroying the ebony locks it had taken her so long to grow. She cut the hair off the top of her head, giving herself a rather crude looking box cut. It was a bit longer, more rounded, conforming to the shape of her head. She took the blade and cut out a two inch wide trench to the left of her head, and glance at Kabe. "Got any more color worms on you, Kabe? I need some silver or white..." <e>
Anna: annabell_tremour: she watched as his eyes focused on her for a moment then go back to the woman infront of him. he hesitated, it was all that anna needed to repeat herself. "put it away.. now." she placed an angry emphisis on her words that ment he should not ignore her this time and watched his body langauge change. he heard her and understood.<c>
annabell_tremour: his body straightened and he holstered his gun. anna nodded as she watched merek snap to parade rest, complying with his orders. he had regained military precisness from anna's simple command and turned his attention back to the jedi woman before him. anna too turned, her demenor changing as well. she no longer showed the angry look of a woman determined to make someone listen to her, she wanted to find out who this woman was and what she wanted. <e>
Leiyn/NPC: trapped_in_turmoil: *Things seemed to be out of time and place for Leiyn. The older woman had left her more than a handful of times-- returning to wake her every half hour... Leiyn slept peacefully for the most part, though she had woken a few times to hear the guards arguing over something. Her hearing and vision interchangibly blacked out, so she paid attention to whatever she could, whenever she could. Her energy was completely gone now that the guards had finally learned to ignore her. Her adrenaline had long since died-- and the strength she'd had before had withered away to nothing. She laid there on her bunk and held her long white braid in her hands, stroking it and twirling the end of it around her fingers. She was cold, too, but that was because she just didn't feel good... -c-
trapped_in_turmoil: The light from outside the cell out in the main area of the detention area was blinding to her sensitive eyes. She had fallen back asleep and had been awoken by a hand grabbing ahold of her long braid of hair and gripping it tightly... There stood the Captain-- and someone else... His face seemed vaguely familiar. It was one of those deja-vu moments where everything seemed surreal and she had to do a double take. This man... was one of the many who had raped her. One of the smugglers. He sat down on her bunk and looked up to the Captain. "How much do you think she'd sell for?" Leiyn tried to sit up with every intention of striking him, but the Captain's grip on her hair yanked her back down to the bunk and held her firmly in place... -e-
Aida Estrina: txt_laura_lei_txt: She would reach out and shake his hand before cutting directly to the chase. "I am here to assist you all on your mission in anyway possible...where are the others..Murra, Kabe etc." she asks while seeing that the girl beside him was trying to get him to put his gun away. "I am from Bastion much like the rest of them that are taking part in this..." she says before pausing. "I am sorry that I am...late; however, I had some things to take care of before coming here." she would say despite his feelings of mistrust towards her. She would nod at Anna assuring her that she was not here for any conflict, but to carry on the mission just as they are. <e>
(Thats it! Whoopdee-fucking-doo... This is where the previous couple of posts from Sheridan and Leato pick up. The timelines are a bit different, but thats understandable... Soon to change.)

(previous post-- reposted-- and additions.)
"Leato wait. I dont care about the money. If this girl is to survive to go to your buyer, you need to have her in good shape. Keep this up and she could die." She followed still, pleading her case. Leato exited the staircase to the roof top. The woman followed still yet.
"Like I said. Don't you worry about that anymore... Now as for your payment..." His movements were quick as his steps brought him to her face. With a quick jab he crushed her lips back into her teeth, splitting her lower lip wide. She screamed out and tumbled back across the roof.
"Why are you doing this?" Her words came out in wet sounding sobs as the blood pooled in her hands.
"Because I can." He took no time. Did not even take the time to enjoy the fear on her face. The snap-hiss of his lightsaber was matched only by the sizzling of flesh as the womans head rolled a few feet from her limp body. He laughed, shaking his head as the amber blade made it way back into the hilt. He turned slowly and looked around at the surrounding buildings. He gave a little nod and smug wave to any who might have been watching and made his way back inside. Once back in his seat, the others said nothing to him. Coming back alone from the roof left only the imagination to the rest of them.
-----------------------
Leato sat there in his seat for a long moment and then looked up towards vid monitors. He stood up leniently and walked over to look down at them... The vid monitors showed the different sections of the compound. He could see them moving around to attend their duties. One of them monitored Leiyn's cell, which was empty... He turned to the nearest mercenary and stared him down. "How long till the next transport leaves for the compound?" he asks, his gray eyes burning holes into the man's skull. "In about f-f-f-fifteen minutes... sir," the other answered. Without saying thank you or anything else, he turned and stalked out of the building.
He was careful heading through the crowds as he made his way back to the spaceport. Having clamped down his Force presence, now he had to make sure he was not seen by any of the other teams... Ducking in and out of back alleys he went to make his way to the transport that would take him to compound along with the next shift change of guards and mercenaries... When he got there, he hopped on board and waited for it to take off... Plots ran through his head as he sat in his seat, closing his eyes and thinking of where he would go from here.
He could feel it when the transport passed overhead Kabe and Murra... A cold, malicious smile played across his lips. Ahh... They would be prepared for the Jedi. Things were going as planned. The Captain would be expecting him by now. He did not have to wait long, a matter of minutes really, before the transport landed in the designated area inside the compound. Stepping off the transport, he found a pretty young woman in an elaborate dress waiting for him. "Right this way, sir... I will show you where you can await the Captain. He is currently paying a visit to your sister..." She turned and lead the way up to the tallest tower where Leiyn had been only minutes before. He could feel the lingering of her presence in this very room, leading away towards the detention area like an ion trail waiting to be tracked. The woman gestured to the different couches and plush chairs that decorated the room. Outside the glass doorway was the balcony where Leiyn had sat for a while.
"I will summon him to meet you, sir, if you would kindly wait here... Help yourself to the refreshments," she says, gesturing to the table where food and drink had been set out. She bowed deeply to him and then dismissed herself. Leato was left alone in the room. His eyes roamed the room that was scarcely decorated and he took a seat on one of the couches... Awaiting the presence of the Captain.

Kabe The patch was complete, and the bike was back together. Both Jedi were boarding the speederbike when their micro-coms crackled to life, Sheridan's voice over the radio coming through strongly. "Ladies and gentlemen, here is a shock for you. Leato has gone off on his own. Keep on the look out, he may be depending on our groups to be a distraction to someone, so there may be someone tipped off as to why we are here. Keep your eyes open." Kabe shook his head. "I told you so. I told you, Murra." With a disgruntled sigh, he spoke up over the com, using Flirt to translate, so that in no uncertain terms could he be misunderstood, "You know better than that." He sighed, then turned back to Murra. "So now the real game begins. With his help they're going to know we aren't there looking to make a business deal." He shook his head again. All of them are children really. I had hoped to be able to do this peacefully, but... With a soft sigh, he looked back at Murra. "Now what? They know we're coming, or if not, will soon. Not only that, but they know what you're capable of, and can only guess at me. Do we abort, or do we carve our way through?" Honestly, he was itching to sweep Leato's head from his shoulders... not out of a need for violence, or out of a wish to kill a fellow sentient being, but he'd heard too many bad things, he knew too many things, that kept reinforcing the belief that the galaxy was much better off without the likes of a clone, much less a clone such as Leato Kan. The wookiee warrior hefted his pouch which contained his quarrels and his lightsabers.
Merek Merek turned to look at Anna pointedly, as if to say "Wha'd I tell you?" He'd sent Adia back to her Svelte-class shuttle until she was needed. He knew the Jedi was eager to help but for now, with this new shift in situation, he needed observation not extra loose ends. Glanced back to the shuttle, hearing the chatter between Sheridan and Kabe. He'd keep his mouth shut for now. He had his own thoughts on the subject, but none that would do any good in a public forum. Agitatedly his hands rested on his pair of DH-44's, squeezing the grips, and releasing, and squeezing again over and over, bleeding the tension away as best he could. If he screws this operation up, ... Merek shook his head, then glanced around looking for Anna. He opened his mouth as if to say something, thought better of it, and closed his mouth again. What he had to say would only have hurt, and that was not something he wanted to do.
Murra She let out a slow deep breath and brought the blade back up to her hair, cutting it evenly across the top of her head. She had no time to make a paste-like die from the sap of the near by trees. She would have to rely on just the disguise as weak as it was. Her attention was turned back to Kabe as she sheathed the blade and moved toward the speeder bike, climbing nimbly onto it and checked her weapons to make sure they were all where they should have been, lightsaber included. "I am not leaving her in there Kabe. We came here for a purpose, and we are going to fulfill that purpose." As she settled herself down onto the seat and waited for Kabe to climb on she reached up and signaled the com. "Groups two and three, stay where you are. "Big brother and I are going in alone until further notice." Her jaw was set, her mind racing with the Force and the possibilities of what lay ahead. She had promises to fulfill, lives to protect. The grim expression setting onto her face was one that would mask any and all emotions that flitted through her mind. "Ready for this, Kabe?"
Anna Fury lit in her eyes as Anna heard Sheridan’s voice over the com. Anger and rage burned through her facade. All thoughts of hiding who she was melted away and she showed her anger. It was plain by her expression she was definitely not happy. As she stood looking at Merek, she knew what he was thinking.. I told you so.. see what you get for trusting a man like that? If not in those exact words.. something a lot like them. She was glad that he didn’t speak them aloud, but she could hear them all the same. Her hands balled into fists as tears of fury and hatred burned her eyes. She couldn’t believe she had trusted Leato, she had let him use her again. She should have told him no that night he found her, she should have told him no that night he found her, she should have just…. She was angry with herself and Leato. at this moment, she felt burdened by everything he gave her, the gift of Orin’s jacket, the lightsaber in the pocket, every painful memory... She was tired of them all. She felt a scream stuck in her throat and turned away from Merek. She couldn’t stand to be under his eyes at the moment, it only made her anger worse. As she walked away from him, past the transport, she stripped herself of the jacket and let it fall to the ground before disappearing into the crowd beyond the ship. She wasn’t thinking of what could happen to her, only getting away to let her rage melt before she took it out on someone she truly cared for.
Leato As Leato sat in the room waiting for the captain to come in. It was all coming to a head and he would soon have to make his last ditch of this place. It was fun while it lasted. He was positive they knew he was up to something. It had become complicated for small tasks to be accomplished. Things would have to be dealt with also. His ship was in orbit with the Jedi and he was planet side with a whole lot of people that would soon want his head. But another ship could be found. And he would have his ship back. He doubted Murra or Anna or even Leiyn destroying or selling it. He hoped not at least. It didn’t matter. He could find the ones he needed at any time. There was no way they could hide. If anything he guessed she would hunt him down. but that was all in due time.
Kabe "I never suggested we -leave- her there, but Leato is behind this little thing, that much I know. Otherwise he wouldn't have disappeared like that. He's got this whole thing planned. We all knew it was a trap before we even left Bastion, yes. All of us have been planning in the backs of our minds, but best laid plans don't always go the way they should. I don't want a repeat of Obroa-Skai or Naboo on my hands." He leaned on the handlebars of the bike, then shook his head as the shuttle carrying Leato cruised overhead. He looked up at it. Great, he's got a ride too. He reached down and flicked a switch on the bike, and pulled the small comlink from his belt with Flirt plugged into it. "Veritas, ready your tractor crews. We may need them to reel in a ship soon. Also, seal off the docking bay that Leato Kan's ship is in. It does -not- leave the bay. Disable, dismantle, whatever it takes. Be careful. Expect booby-traps." He looked at Murra, pointing at the shuttle heading for the southern horizon without looking. "Well, that confirms it." He hopped on the bike, going through a near record start-up time, and then gunned the throttle so hard the acceleration threatened to unseat them, to which he reflexively tightened his grip, leaning to the right looping the bike south, throttle open wide. There was no way it could match the speed of the shuttle, but he didn't care as he leaned low over the bike now, becoming as aero-dynamic as a wookiee could comfortably be on a speederbike with another passenger. His wookiee fury burned hotly within him now. The two hundred and fifty mile an hour winds whipped through his fur as they made all haste to the south now... He didn't know whether he was racing time, Leato, or his own anger... He kept twisting the grip, and pushing the pedal to the metal, pushing it past its stops, taking it from full power to full military power. It was unlikely that anything could be heard over the scream of the wind, and he really didn't care at the moment.
Merek Merek had been looking over the starboard side of the shuttle when he heard the flop of something hitting the ground. He slipped aft, and around the rear of the shuttle to see Anna heading for the exit of the spaceport. She was angry... furious really. That much he knew just by looking at her. He felt something inside him constrict. His own anger was magnified by ten, but at the same time he felt something else.. it was like bitterness but it wasn't his own. As much as Merek disliked Leato Kan, he knew that she had placed her trust with him, even if only a little. She had allowed him to put her in danger, for the sake of 'learning' when he'd instead spent most of his time avoiding her, and now he was betraying the little trust that every one else had placed on him. Not that it was much to begin with. He could imagine how she felt. With a finger he reached up behind his ear and flicked the micro-com to transmit. He would have asked her where the hell she was going, but he knew that would be bad. "We have orders you know. Stick around, and don't go too far... please." His voice was very quiet, that sort of soft tone he used when speaking only to her, but there was a hard edge underneath it, like sunlight glinting off the blade of a sword.
Murra She reached up again, daring to speak into the com so that Kabe would be able to hear her above the wind. While she spoke, Murra shut her eyes and leaned back into his large form, using him as an anchor in winds that would have other wise knocked her off of the speeder. "We stick to the original plan, Kabe, unless you have any better ideas." With that she went silent, reaching outward with the Force. Leato's transport was miles ahead of them, and moving closer and closer to the compound. "We will be coming up to the first set of towers soon, Kabe. Guards posted on each on." While she spoke her mind was working at Leato's presence. She was pulling at it, reaching to grasp at something within it. She felt Orin, or she wanted to feel Orin there. The reassurance that Leato's counterpart was well aware of what Leato was doing could bring about a change to Leato's plan. Murra was not exactly sure how the connection worked, what brought Leato to the forefront and gave him control, but if she could direct things then perhaps it would all swing in a manner with which Leiyn would benefit the most.
Anna Acting as if she hadn’t heard Merek's words, Anna kept walking. She didn’t plan on going far, she just had to get away from him before her anger was taken out on him. She couldn’t risk hurting him or Logan. She didn’t want that. She didn’t want anyone else to get hurt as a byproduct of Leato’s actions. She was glad the crowd stayed out of her way, her thin frame passing easily between people as she made her way out of the space port. She stayed close to the store fronts and buildings along the edge of the crowd. how could she have been so stupid? Why had she let herself be taken in by him again? Finding an empty alley, Anna ducked inside and leaned against one of the walls. She closed her eyes for a moment, focusing her mind. letting all her thoughts come to a single point. All her anger. The rage that filled her surfaced to her skin, turning it red, heating it. She pushed herself away from the wall and stepped up to its opposite. With her head hung low, she raised her right fist and took the stance Merek showed her while they were training. Her left side front, her left arm placed to block a blow to her side and chest. Turning into it, channeling all her energy into her fist, she swung her right arm out and across her chest to meet the thick wall. As the collision occurred, she released her energy and grunted forcefully. She felt the wall give quite a bit as the force of her punch created a nice sized crater in it. Small flecks of ’crete fell to the ground, creating soft pattering sounds. For a moment she stood there, listening to the silence of the alley, letting the rest of her anger dissipate. That had helped a lot, she felt better. Slowly she began to realize the pain in her hand that came as a side effect from punching ferrocrete. Lifting her hand from the wall, she opened her eyes and smirked at the crater she had left there. Wow… She didn’t know she could do that. She hadn’t expected to leave a mark like that in the wall. She looked down at her hand and almost laughed in shock at how red her knuckles were. The nerves in her hand jumped from the exertion and from the hard collision. The only thing she could think to say was "Ow." she tried moving her fingers, but they wouldn’t respond, at least not yet. Sighing, she cradled her hand against her body, looked once more at the crater and began out of the alley and back to Merek.
Kabe Kabe barely heard Murra, and it was more like he felt what she was saying than anything else. He shook his head. Guards, no guards.. he didn't care. They'd be on them, there, and gone before they'd get a decent shot at them anyway. As the afternoon sun was slipping to the west, they sped on. Kabe slalomed around a couple trees, the grasses of the plains of Ord Mantell hissing by beneath them as they flew only inches above. To shoot or not to shoot.. or just us a lightsaber and cut through the people manning the first tower? Then maybe loop around for the second one? He wondered what the visual range of the sentry towers were, but.. he felt eyes upon him now. Nevermind … He growled, and adjusted the nose of the bike, pointing toward the metallic tower rapidly growing on the horizon and throttled back, to about half speed, allowing for better maneuverability, and also giving him more time to score hits if he was given the go-ahead. "Shoot or hail?"
Merek Merek walked to the ramp of the shuttle as his forehead began to ache, his head slowly starting to throb. This was all so messed up. His anger surged more. He wanted to shoot something, someone.. break someone.. Break Leato. He'd have happily ripped the clone's throat out.. but at the same time his discipline kept that in check. Then... a few moments later he felt his anger dying away, until it flickered and went out.. mostly. There were still burning embers within him, but as he lay with his back on the ramp, almost looking like he was taking a nap he held his head which now pounded furiously. I'm so tired of this. He slammed his right hand down onto the plate steel of the boarding ramp, leaving a nice six inch wide, shallow dent in it. He turned on his side and looked at the dent.. "Uh.. oops... that wuz already there?" He shook his head and rolled onto his back again.
Murra "Hail them, Kabe." she said loud enough for him to hear her. "We do not want to alert them too early that we know what is going on. To give resistance now would be the close the door before it even appears to open for us." She spoke all this while working within her mind. So far she had not been able to achieve the grasp onto Orin. But she was still working on it. She had to know if this was all what he had warned her about, and what was to come. She had to know if Orin Dar was aware of the danger they were all flying straight into.
Anna As Anna passed back into the space port, she caught a glimpse of Merek laying on the ramp of the transport. She was sorry she had left like that, but couldn’t help for it. She would have hated to see her anger inflicted on him as she had done the wall. The pain in her hand still strong, causing it to throb a bit. She could move it slightly now, her fingers balled a bit as she commanded them to, but using it would have to wait a little longer. She kept it against her abdomen and she silently walked to the transport and up the ramp kneeling next to Merek. With her left hand she brushed his forehead lightly, silently asking his forgiveness. Right now, she didn’t care who saw her like this with him. Her earlier image was the furthest thing from her mind. she was sorry and wanted him to know it.
Leato & Co. The young mans mind began to slowly be disturbed. He felt something sifting through him almost. As if the force was questioning him. Its own will. Nothing happened without the force. Everything happened as it should. And everything was happening as he planed. So was it not the will of the force. Could he be wrong. He rested his elbows on his knees as he felt the prod. Damn it. He growled standing suddenly and clamping down through the Force, shutting everything off. She had found a door way in, this time in the background. He grabbed his robes pulling them away and tossing them aside. He needed to prepare. He knew it was coming closer at this moment.
The first one to notice anything on the tower tapped his friend on the shoulder. "What’s this shit? Who comes out this way on just a speeder bike." The other one shrugged his shoulders leveling his blaster peering down through the scope. "A wookiee and a woman. They’re not on our list of entries. Take them out." He pulled the trigger sending a bolt at the speeder. Only one shot was fired and it was aimed at the main power core of the bike. Like most hired help the man was a decent shot, but no ace.
Kabe Upon Murra's words of "Hail them," he nodded. He was reaching for the comlink at his waist with his left hand, but felt the intent to fire coalesce in the tower. That‘s what I figured. Before intent could turn into action he was already sweeping the bike the right, then ruddered left to swing it back in front of him, and held his thumb down on the right handlebar, on the top, spitting shafts of hard light at the top of the tower. He'd expected E-web mobile light anti-armor turrets. That shot had come from a rifle. Then the situation ruled in their favor in more than one way. The speederbike they were on was a 74-Z, the old military model, and unlike other speederbikes, this one was armor plated, but that didn’t mean the armor was foolproof. A good shot would kill the bike, even from a pistol. "Murra, take the controls." That was all he said as he began digging into his pouch. While a blaster rifle could hurt the bike, an E-web would have been a serious threat. Either way, they shot first. He couldn’t allow them time to call "home" and let them know that visitors were on the way. He activated a pair of concussion grenades, and called upon the Force, connecting to the ticking explosive devices in his hands. He had only seconds to get the timing right. What he would have given for his grenade launcher from the Vendetta, but that was in orbit in the bay of the Veritas. With an almost careless toss, he sent both grenades traveling through the air. As they were already moving at over one hundred miles per hour, they would be very hard to see with such velocity. As they flew ahead he used the Force to guide and accelerate the concussion grenades, with the timing set up so that as soon they got into the "nest" they would immediately detonate, not before, and they would certainly not rest long enough for them to toss it out.
Merek Merek opened his eyes and looked up at hearing Anna approach. Smiled slightly, then closed his eyes, resting his head against the ramp. Her hand was cool and it felt good on his forehead. He turned toward her slightly though and reached up with his left hand and brushed her cheek. "You're alright." It was all he said to her silent look of worry, of apology. The throbbing in his head wasn't going away, but it wasn't getting any worse, which was at least good news. He took a deep breath and sighed, shifting to rest his head in her lap, which was actually very comfortable, due to the angle of the ramp, and the angle that her lap would make because of it. "You alright," he murmured quietly, meaning in all aspects. He knew that inside was probably the worst though. She was probably nice and ripped up in there, from what he felt earlier, if what he felt was his own, then she had to be even worse off.
Murra Murra reached out, grabbing a hold of the speeder's controls. She took the ride, leaning forward on the handlebars to give herself better grip in the still swift wind. She paid no mind at all to what Kabe was doing, knowing that it would help them out in the long run if she concentrated on her own duty. Within the Force a door was slammed shut, turning her away from delving deeper into Leato, of coming into contact with Orin. She swore under her breath and "knocked" again within Leato's presence. She knew he was there, Orin was always there. It was just a matter of distracting Leato long enough to give her Light Side companion enough time to send a signal back to her. She took the bike straight, aiming between the first tower and the second, giving Kabe a clear shot at his mark. When the 'nades would detonate Murra would have the bike well beyond the degree of safety.
Anna Anna nodded to his words as he spoke softly. She knew she would be alright. It was just another obstacle she had to get past. She kept her right hand against her as he laid his head in her lap. Her left hand played gently in his hair. She knew they all had to be suffering from some sort of anger at what Leato had done. she had dissipated her own, for the moment, on the wall in the alleyway. Again she nodded and spoke softly. "I’m alright."
(more to follow, of course)
