wookie_kabraka: Kabe walked out of the Jaded Lady, making sure to avoid the foolish deck officer, that he'd used a small push of Alter Mind to make him forget where his hat was, and subsequently spend his time looking for it. As he walked, his manner was almost regal, the Force flowing through him strongly. It seemed to hang around him like smoke, or inscense from burning wood. Just a few minutes ago, he'd sent a strong but gentle nudge to Murra, that he needed to speak with her. He didn't know if she would have picked up on the very strong homesickness that had hit him only a little bit before, but he knew she would come if he called. He had things he needed to tell her, and to do. He wanted Thira to be present as well for this. She needed to be really, by right.
jedi_master_murra_tekal: Murra appeared within the bay where the Jaded Lady was birthed. She had felt a tug from the Force adn followed it through back to Kabe. It had led her here, and with a small amount of urgency. Something was going on, and she would find out in time what that was. She shook her head, eyeing the fumbling deck officer and waved her hand slightly, giving him the impression that it was time for him to leave the bay. Hehad not seen her yet, but that was just fine. She did not wish to salute anyone this day. He left, sweeping by her as if she were not there. Murra turned her attention to Kabe as she made her way toward him. "What troubles you, my friend, and why a meeting here in the birth of a ship?"
ma_thira_usa: ~Thira had followed Kabe down the Lady's entry ramp, and the look in her red eyes would've silenced even the nosy deck officer. She did not speak, but smiled thinly, at Murra, though her eyes remained serious. She knew Murra was part of Kabe's honor family, just as she was, and would be consulted before any action was taken. She offered a slight wave, as she waited for Kabe to explain. It wasn't her place yet to speak.<e>
wookie_kabraka: It was then, that Kabe wasted no time. He carefully but quickly outlined that he had discovered that his family was alive, and that while he didn't know if they were all on Kashyyk, he knew that some of them were, and that Thira would be leaving to take them offworld, and to check on them, and also taking the time to explain that he knew from his vision he'd gotten almost two weeks ago this was the will of the Force. "I cannot go. I am bound to Ord Mantel for now, but Thira can do it, and... I do not feel that she is supposed to be on Ord Mantel, especially by what I saw."
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She gave the thought careful consideration before nodding in assent. She turned her eyes to Thira and gave the other woman a warm smile. "The will of the Force calls you away from this journey, Thira, to take part in another. Be mindful of your steps, watch your footing and the footing of those around you and you will come out fine. We will see you back on Bastion if ment to be." She was not lightly dismissing the fact taht she would be down one person from the team, she was accepting that the Force was calling the chiss away from the station that Murra had given to her. Her attention was turned back to Kabe and she eyed him, there was something..."What else is there Kabe?"
ma_thira_usa: ~Thira smiled in return, her red eyes filled with traces of what might have been guilt, and also filled with duty. It was a pledge of honor to Kabraka, to the only father she had left. "I will be careful, Master Murra." She said softly. "I promise... And thank you for believing in me, if you need anything, be sure to call me. Kabe knows the encrypt codes I keep." Thira felt bad about leaving the mission, and about not fighting along side Kabe and the others. She realized it was a difficult situation, but she knew that if Kabe's heart was at ease, he would perform at his best. Even if she went to Ord Mantell, Kabe would've worried about her, and that might have been a hinderance.<e>
wookie_kabraka: He sighed, then looked toward Murra, then Thira. "And now, for the other thing." He glanced toward the belt Thira wore, then back to Murra. "Jedi Master Murra Tekal. Honored friend, mentor, comrade in arms... You are as valuable to me as my own flesh and blood. While you are not a wookiee, you have part of the wookiee spirit within you. It is my wish, if you would have it, to welcome you into my honor family. To be honored-family is to pledge to defend that person with their life if need be, to help them, and uphold them as best they may in all things. This, I have already done, but I ask you now, do you accept, or deny?" If she turned the honor down, then he would be disappointed, but if she accepted, then he would see her as a sister, and as the inducting wookiee he had the <c>
wookie_kabraka: responsibility of naming those that were to be brought into his family. He already knew what he would call her, though her name consequently was part of it, because it had the right meaning in shyriiwook anyway.

jedi_master_murra_tekal: There was a stalled moment between Thira's words, Kabe's words and her own response. She had not been expecting any of this, the leaving of Thira was a shock all on its own, but it was far out weighed but the honor that Kabe was looking to bestow on the Jedi Master. She had always seen Kabe as a part of her family, the walking teddy bear was never anythign less in her eyes. After a long pause and a slow smile that grew into a grin, Murra nodded. "Kabraka, it would be an honor on its own to accept this offer that you place before me. My heart swells with joy in its acceptance."
ma_thira_usa: ~The chiss woman smiled as Murra gave her answer. Every member of the honor family was pledged to look after and protect the others, until the day they died. Thira had no family but this family, and Kabe had been her only relation for nearly 6 years. This was a joyous moment, both for Kabe and for Murra, and she considered herself blessed to share in it. But even so, the thought of leaving these two on a dangerous mission was tugging at her heart. She wished there were another way, but it couldn't be helped.<e>
wookie_kabraka: He smiled inwardly, then nodded, catching the beaming look from Thira. He shifted his eyes back to Murra. "Then, I so name you Wrrlurra, meaning Quiet Soldier, or Quiet Captain, as you are a leader among the people." He knew that time was slipping by as they stood there, but he waited, looking at the both of them to see their thoughts, and reactions, both physically and through the Force. This was an important moment and one that should not be rushed, and should bear witness to what he'd worked so hard for, and put so much of himself into. These were his extended family, ones that he would put his trust in, his life in their hands, and he knew they would do the same, and so he would honor the both of them with the accord and respect, admiration, and love they deserved.
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She stood quietly, rolling the sound of her honor name around in her head. The meaning was fitting, or so it would seem. She had been a leader, watching and taking charge when and where it was needed. He had done her justice by choosing such a name for her. The smile remained, beaming from her lips as she looked up at the big wookie. "Thank you Kabraka. Perhaps when this is over and done with I can intitiate you into my family as well." She turned her eyes to Thira and nodded, "That goes to you, too, young student of teh Force." She was not attempting to rush this, she simply knew not what else to say. How could one thank another for such a privlage and an honor.
ma_thira_usa: ~Thira too was caught up in the deep of the moment. Her own honor name had taken her a few tries to pronounce correctly, and she smiled at the memory of it. Rilrkkata.. It meant Blue Scoundrel, and also blue child. Both meanings seemed to fit her well enough. Thira went to Murra then, and hugged her quickly. They were now family, and that meant a lot to Thira. "Take care of the big oaf, will you?" She said, retreating into her typical smuggler fashion.<e>
wookie_kabraka: Kabe nodded to himself. "Rilrkkata, be safe out there. I won't be around to save your skin." He chuckled at that. He seemed to be the one that saved everybody's ass in the group of the Jedi. It was a good trait, but he knew they couldn't rely on him. Despite his efforts of making sure his comrades in arms and the Force were alright he'd heard too many whispered voices, and too many random emotions directed to him, to know they didn't fully accept him. That stung a bit, but then again, they didn't know the wookiee from anybody else. Sure, he could have done things differently, but.. he was a wookiee. Heart first, head later.
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She shot both of them that wide grin adn nodded in agreement with Kabe's words directed toward Thira. "Yes, do becareful." she accpeted teh embrace, returning it warmly. It was as she pulled back that Murra held Thira out at arms length, studying the younger woman with a glint to her eyes, "You would make a fine Tekal, you know that?" she shot the wookie the same kind of look "You too..." she grew serious for a moment and turned her attention back to Thira. "do be careful, Thira, and do not worry about Kabraka. As much as he will be keeping me out of trouble, I will be doing the same for him."
ma_thira_usa: ~"I won't be around to save yours, either.." She quipped playfully, but the thought of being far from Kabe was saddening to her. Still, she smiled at Murra as Murra herld her at arms-length. Thira's cheeks tinged a slight purple, as she smiled. "Thank you, Murra." She said in reply, "And may the force be with you both..." She stepped back from the two of them, watching them for a moment before lifting her comm to speak into it. "Joan, fire up the power converters, I want to be underway in the next half hour." The reply crackled back as it always did, and Thira shook her head as she walked over to Kabe. "Take care.." She said, hugging the wookiee tightly. "I'll see you soon, and it'll be a happier meeting." She smiled, and patted Kabe's elbow before moving<c>
ma_thira_usa: ~Over to the Lady's entry ramp, turning at the base of the ramp to watch them for another moment.<e>

wookie_kabraka: If he could have, Kabe might have blushed at Murra. He didn't really know her family, but if they were anything like his, he would happily take her words as a compliment. He affectionally returned Thira's embrace, then watched her head to the ramp, then stop. He waved, then called, "Have Joan call the bridge when you're ready for departure so we can drop out of hyperspace, so you dont get smeared down teh side of the ship." While some ships were capable of changing direction without droping out of hyperspace, one ship leaving the docking bay of another was such a radical thing it would shred the smaller one to atoms, and rip the other one into millions into pieces. THey did -not- need a catastrophic event especially when headed to the rescue of another. He turned and patted Murra with <c>
wookie_kabraka: affection, then turned from her, his mind full of trouble and worry. He knew he hadn't meditated this morning, and... at this point there was so much weighing on his mind, he would have to clear it before anything else could be done. Kabe knew that Murra would be aware of the weight upon him, but would likely understand that sometimes you had to work things out on your own. As such he turned to head to docking bay one, where his skipray waited.
jedi_master_murra_tekal: She watched as Thira moved up the ramp to her ship, arms folded behidn her, teh expression of a proud parent on her face. Thira would make a fine, fine Jedi. But even as she watched the younger woman there was something growing from the wookie beside her. She knew well enough not to mention it right now. He would come to her when he felt the need, if he felt teh need at all. She would be there if he needed to speak with her. So as preperations went under way, and Kabe slipped out to his skipray, Murra turned and left the bay, heading for her own refuge on board the Veritas. Such a busy day for traveling thrugh hyperspace.

anna took in the master as she spoke to her. a bit of her apprehentions faded at the tekal woman's words. she felt a little better knowing that whatever she chose, none of the people in this room would hold it agaisnt her. murr's smile had been reassuring. it was a smile anna hadnt gotten in a long time from the woman before her. she felt hope now, that things werent as bad as they had appeared between murra and herself. but still, she would have to speak with the jedi master once this little expidition was over. she felt it was something she had to do.
as murra turned and spoke to the com unit, anna sat forward, resting her elbows on her knees as she had done before. she listned to sheridan's words, and took the small ouch and communicator in her hands. she placed the little reciever behind her ear close to her hair, she figured that her black locks would hide it a little bit. she gave a quick glance at merek before setteling into herself. her face became serious as seh tucked the small bag into the right pocket of her jacket. the left would hold, as it always had, the lightsaber leato had presented to her. she knew once dismissed, she would have to go get her blaster from the Kiss.
her eyes caught the site of kabe sinking into the shadows of the room. she knew he was angry with something sheridan had said. she could feel it comming off of him in waves. she said nothing about it. it wasnt her place, nor was it the time to do so. they had a task at hand and all needed their focus on that task. she sat waiting to be dismissed, her hands once more clasped infront of her, her head bowed in thought and concentration.

~Thira was already in the pilot's seat by the time the Lady's entry ramp had closed and sealed. She'd wanted to send a message to Dracmus before she lifted off, but there was no time for that... And besides, it was too much of a risk to beam a transmission from the ship, since they were in system at Ord Mantell already. Punching up her clearance, Thira was only waiting until the bridge gave her control before she got underway and pulled out of the hanger. The others would be meeting right now, discussing plans... Pushing out with her feelings, Thira felt Kabe's anger. It vexed her a bit, and she tried her best to send him what comfort she could... She'd been growing stronger in the force, and to strengthen the connection, she pulled Kabe's saber from her belt and held it before her in the light of the cockpit monitors. Thira smiled, and sent Kabe her impression of her feelings, and her reassurance that she would find his family, and that he would see them soon. Maybe that would help Kabe keep his emotions in check for the moment...
Once the Veritas was in orbit, the captain cleared the Jaded Lady for take off. "This is it, Joan.." Thira said softly. "On our own again, just like old times." Joan's reply crackled over the comm system. "So it would seem..." The computer said. Kicking in the repulsors, Thira brought the Lady about one hundred eighty degrees, and in the same smooth motion, she kicked in the sublight drive and flew the Lady through the hanger's magcon field and into free space... Thira then brought the Lady around for a fly by of the Bridge, mannipulating her controls enough to waggle her ship in the traditional 'goodbye' wave.
"Joan, get on those vectors, and begin calculating the Hyperspace jump." Thira ordered. "Calculating now." Joan complied. Thira glanced down at the rear scope, catching one last glimpse of the Veritas, where Murra and Kabe were. "Calculation complete, ready for lightspeed." Joan chimed over the comm. "Here goes.." She murmured, as the stars stretched into glowing lines all around the viewport.~

Sheridan was quite force sensative, now moreso than ever as soon as she had accepted it within her. She felt Kabe's anger. Perhaps later she could explain to him or perhaps make him understand. But for now, his anger would have to wait. There was nothing she could do about it for the moment. The mission was more important than someones emotional upheaval and ruffled feathers. With a final glance his way, she explained as best she could about the sleeping gas.
"I am the only one known here, lets keep it that way. And actually, the gas helps alot more than a stun from blaster fire. The person will not remember several minutes before they inhale the gas, so even if they do come too, there is nothing they can report. If we used the stun on our weapons, they would invariably remember the attack and perhaps who had done it. That is a risk, like so many others, I am not willing to take." She smiled grimly at Murra. If there would be retribution for this, Sheridans business could handle it. She didnt wnat others Sheridan would have prefered doing this entirely her way, with her crew, but Murra was the boss, and she was only following orders. Already she was getting flack from the peanut gallery. But now was not the time to complain.
She took an extra comm unit for leato and another pouch of the sleeping gas for Leato. She would need to speak to him of his command of the second group and perhaps needed to add a little something. She pushed aside those thoughts for later. "Anna and Merek will be with Leato. Kabe with Murra." She gave him a look that indicated how much she was trusting him and respected him to keep Murra safe. "And Logan with me."

She sat in silence, each person had their own battles waging within them. Kabe had his anger, adn the rising habits of his bounty hunter days, this was a good thing though. She was paired up with the wookie. They worked best as a team when they were both concentrating on the task at hand. She knew he would give her the space she needed to move, and he would expect teh same from her. This would also give each of them teh vanatage point to protect the other should the need arise.
Her eyes moved to Sheridan, she was worried about the team acting together as a whole, her trust was not what it should have been, but Murra could not entirely blame her for that either. She had been asked, and had volunteered even before that, to come along, to take part in this. She was working on accepting things as they came to her, dealing with the fact that this was not her crew, and that ultimately things were going to be done Murra's way.
She took a long look at Anna, the young woman had been through so much already, her doubt would be something to have worked on later. She would be there through it as best as she could. Anna would need her support in every move to come.
Finally, Murra looked toward Logan and Merek. Logan was seeming to become fidgity, teh youthful Jedi was anxious to help, to aid in any way possible. He seemed excited about the prospect of working with Murra again. She smiled inwardly at this and soon passed it out of her mind as the stoic expression from Merek met her gaze. He was quiet, focusing on one thing at a time, working things out within his own mind.
It seemed they were all just about ready to get the dance started. She rose, breaking the momentary silence that had fallen across the chamber. "I think that is enough for now, we must all be ready. We can go over the finalization once we are on the transport with Leato." She turned her eyes toward Sheridan and gave the other woman a half smile, "Are we dismissed?"

He cockedhis head a little wheh his com poped to life and Murras voice rang through the silent ship. He laughed a little at her jest and replied. "Fine by me. And you know me better than that....when am I never a good boy." he leaned into the control yoke arcing the ship back to vector with the Varitas. Slowly guiding the ship up into the dock the foils to the Myst folding in. The ion's screamed one last time as the ship slowly sat down wth a thud on the durasteel. Un buckling and shuting the ship down he made his way to the access ramp careing only his weapons of choice and shrowded in those dark robes. It took only a short while to get from the docks up to where the rest of them where. The door slid open with a his as he walked in droping the head from his head. Noding to them he looked around the room. "Both in the past and now i have seemed to be able to lead everyone I know into danger. I've ....lost good friends in many attempts such as this." He looked over at Murra for a moment. "But you all show how willing you are to sacrifice for anothers needs. I may lack in this area but that doesnt mean I do not respect you for that. I owe all of you for this. My trust is lacking in this crowed i know" He gave a little smile as he glanced at Anna. "But please dont think i will do anything to harm you all or anyone else here. Let us just complete this task and go home with our friends and family." He gave them a short bow and looked to them all again. "So....on a lighter note. Who has the joy of haveing my company." He grined a little resting his weight on one leg.

Her attention was called to the voice and turbulent presence of Leato Kan. She turned where she stood, facing the man with a bit of a nod in greeting. It had not taken him too long to join the party. To his words her eyes found the floor, silently praying for the lost souls who had fallen in each joint venture that she had accompanied both Leato and Orin in. Those lives had been friends, they had been family, and each time they had been involved Murra could not save any one life from being lost. She turned her eyes to the group around them, she prayed with the will of a warrior, to the Force, that they all would make it back to the Veritas in one piece. She brightened her own mood, flashing a small smile to Leato "We will discuss that on the transport on our approach planet side. For now," she turned to those gathered including Sheridan, once more becoming 'General' Tekal, "I suggest that we all get ourselves ready. The transport will be waiting in moments..."

as leato entered, anna stood. other then the slight nod she made in greeting her master, she made no other move. finally they were all able to see each other. leato got to lay his eyes finally on anna's new companion, and the rest of the team. merek got to see who this man was that had caused so much pain in her past. for a breif moment, anna tensed. her eyes flickered to merek then quickly returned to leato. his words eased her tensions slightly. what was left of it was more for what was going to happen on this little endevor they were embarking on. she regarded the others, watching them wondering what they were thinking. most likely it was the same thing as she, hoping that the mission turned out well, hoping all hell wouldnt break lose on the surface. she wanted nothing more then to have it done and over with. to have leiyn safetly back on the veritas. closing her eyes for a moment, she cleared her mind, and focused herself. she had to stay calm, couldnt let herself get too anxious or nervous. she opened her eyes at the sound of them being dismissed. she made her way to the door, waiting just outside for merek to join her. she knew it wouldnt be more then a few moments, but during that time, she, again, got the feeling that something bad might happen. she hoped hte feeling was wrong. she hoped it was just nervousness.

Kabe stood, his towering frame... well towering compared to those assembled not even giving Leato a look, other than once he passed him to glare sharply at the man's back, a silent message that if the clone stepped out of line, that Murra probably wouldn't be able to stop him before he ripped the slithery Jedi into pieces. He gave Sheridan no notice and strode from the room brushing past Anna, heading for docking bay one, to gather his gear. The first thing he went for a was a slide-panel in the wall, lifting out a four foot nine inch ryyk blade, which he slipped it and its holder over his back, then grabbed his bowcaster, and slipped on the bandolier he used with it. He grabbed an assault carbine and strapped it to his right thigh, its short frame able to work as a pistol for the wookiee. Then he grabbed a smaller vibro-blade that for most people would be a short-sword. He put his lightsabers in his pouch, along with a pair of sonic grenades, and a pair of stun grenades. He grabbed his comlink, and slipped it into his belt along with the rest of his small gear items, then put the com device Sheridan had given out and tucked it under his fur behind his ear. He tucked away the nerve toxin as well, though he doubted he'd need it. He walked back out of the Vendetta a few minutes later, his rather large bowcaster in hand, heading back to the group.
Merek followed a similar reaction. He gave the clone a curt nod, then slipped outside. He didn't say anything, afraid that his own, somewhat hidden anger at the man, and the pain that had resulted from him in Anna's life might force him to do something or say something stupid. Right now, he was here to do a job, and to serve Anna, as protector, and crew member of the Destiny's Kiss. She was on this assignment because of Leato. Sure, he was training her as a Jedi, but he didn't understand why she was loyal to the man. He brushed her shoulder. "C'mon, lets go get our shit so we can get on with this." He gave her a look that she'd not seen from him, which indicated his agitation. Gone was the nice guy, now in his place it almost seemed to be replaced with a cold hard edge of someone who'd done some serious stuff in his past.

anna noticed the change in merek. she didnt question it. perhaps she would later, but for now, she knew better. they had to concentrate on the task at hand. perhaps she wouldnt have to ask, perhaps he would speak of his past when he felt comfortable enough to do so, eitherway, seh wouldnt pry and would keep her mind on leiyn and getting her and her companions back to teh ship saftely. she knew it would take teamwork to acomplish this, that being said, she was still responsible in part for the outcome of the mission.
she walked with merek to the Kiss. his deep amount of focus helped her put all things aside even further and to focus herself. she had alot to think about, but when it came down to getting a job done.. she could focus. once onboard Destiny, anna made her way to the stateroom. she collected her blaster and strapped it around her waist. the gun sitting at her right thigh, causing the belt to the holster to sit at a slight angel from her lift hip to her right thigh. she felt more comfortable with the blaster. it seemed more her style then a lightsaber. she headed back out to the mainhold to meet up with merek again.

The almost silent thump of booted feet was the only sound he made as he stalked through the ship to his room, which wasn't as far into the semi-bright interior as was Anna's. A press of a palm to the keypad sent it hissing open quietly, allowing the black-clad figure of Merek to slide through, almost slinking into the room. With a quiet huff he strapped the gunbelt with his paired DH-44's to his thighs, then drew both, listening to their whine, then gave them both a quick check. From there, he checked on his two vibro-knives, also making sure they were in place.
Spinning on his toes his jacket flared out behind him a bit, as he turned to exit the room, his eyes now almost blazing. Was he angry? He couldn't tell, but he knew something was buidling within him, and it threatened to burn through his skin to explode from him. In only two long strides he left the room. The long and swift strides he was taking put him in the refresher he closed the door, and stood looking at the mirror. He put the com device that Sheridan had passed out to the group behind his right ear and checked to make sure it wasn't visible. As the check was completed, Merek found himself staring inexplicably into the mirror, looking at his reflection, and the look in his brilliant grey eyes. "Get ahold of yourself, Merek. Now is not the time to loose it, not with these people," he muttered, but it really felt more like a yell. Maybe it was?
He shook his head, then turned on the faucet in the sink. The water that had been added into the ship fell from the sink, warm and welcome. He used it to wash his hands and face, then dry off. Tossing the towel down he glanced at the mirror, feeling a little better. The seething emotions that had been present a few moments ago seemed to have simmered and calmed back down. Taking a deep breath, he held it, then slowly let it go, letting go of his anger at Leato, and the situation, then realized his throat hurt. Okay, so maybe he had shouted. Absently he reached to palm the door open....

anna stopped mid step, her boot slightly above the floor, she turned her head having heard merek shouting from the refresher. he had started to act a little strangely after leato had shown himself. the look he had about him had changed. anna thought it was more or less his way of getting ready for anything that was comming, but now she wasnt so sure. his voice echoing down the corridor to reach her ears made her second guess this. she made her way to the refresher to check on him and to see if he was alright. as she raised her hand to knock on the door, the door slid open. she looked up at merek with great concern in her eyes. "are you alright?"

With everyone leaving the room, Murra turned to leave as well, motioning for Leato to meet her on the way to the transport. She needed to talk to him about the location of Leyin. If he had no idea what they would possibly be facing on the surface, Murra would have to sit silently on the transport in order to gain the knowledge from the Force. She gave a last glance to Logan and then to Sheridan as she left, heading for her own rooms. There, Murra would grab up her own blaster, as well as the coat which held the symbolic image of a crucified angel perched on its back. She had left the garment on board the Veritas, having wanted it to remain in safe keeping. The Jedi woudl also change, removing herself from the outward appearances of a Jedi to slip into something far more inconspicous for a Smuggler. As she finished dressing, Murra could not help but stare at her reflection, hoping that it would be enough to keep anyone who had seen the holonews from recognizing her, Logan or even Kabe.
Her lightsaber was tucked snuggly into an inner pocket where it would be kept out of sight and yet within arms reach. Replacing the saber on her belt would be the blaster, set to its maximum stun level. She hoped not to have to use it, but if her Force Shroud was compromised, or if she was spotted on cicurity circuts then there might be the possability of having to use both the blaster and the nerve toxin. She sighed, turning off the lights to her room and left, stepping out of her room to head toward the transports birth. Over the loud speaker came the voice of one of her officers, his voice floating spookily from the speakers hidden among the bulkheads of the ship.
