Merek's eyes grew wide as the door slid away with Anna on the other side, adrenaline flooding through his body, giving him the reaction speed that was born of desperation, then his logical mind caught up with his body, realizing that she was not holding a weapon as he thought, but simply looking to knock on the door.
The concern in her eyes became fully apparent a moment later as she spoke, and he let his now white hands fall back next to his waist, then smiled and brushed her cheek with the back of his fingers. "Yeah, sorry... Seeing the Leato just ignited ... I don't like him, and seeing him, and knowing what you've had to deal with because of him got to me..." He sighed, then leaned down kissing her on the forehead. "I'm alright, I promise, Cap'n."
Meanwhile the deck rang with the heavier footsteps of the large wookiee Kabraka as he headed back towards the command crew of this little rescue operation. He sighed, feeling overdressed in weapons. After a brief bout of consideration he left behind the auto-carbine strapped to his thigh. The bowcaster was a wookiee weapon, as was his ryyk blade that he wore, but an auto-carbine would scream bounty hunter. The vibro-blade he carried also was natural. For all anyone knew the pouch at his side only contained tools. As he stood nearby, he began to weave an image about himself, slowly, methodically creating a new look, a new feel, and a new impression about him. He wanted the image to be complete. To any who were not Force Sensitive, or strong minded, the silver-tip of the wookiee's fur was gone, now in its place was solid black, with deep red firey streaks, which would help break up his pattern and give him a very dangerous look. His amber eyes were now yellow-green, and his furr patterns were altered, as well as he now sported a flat-top, all of which was a slowly, and carefully orchestrated guise. As the guise was finished, he imagined a sphere that bore the markers and his touch eminating from him, pressing outwards farther and farther until it encompassed everyone and thing within a hundred meters. Nobody should get a close look at him, and recognize him.. or at least that was the hope.

Murra: As Murra came out of the room she had been occupying something within her grew into existence. It was something close to a rushing river, filling her mind with a buzz so loud that she barely heard the announcement for the waiting transport. Dizzily she found herself holding onto the nearest bulkhead, gasping deeply for air. What had occurred? She reached out to the Force, unaware of any that had come to her aid, if any at all. She was busy, mentally working at the sensation. It was as if the node that had come to connect her with life back on Bastion had tightened. She recognized it the moment that she had found it. Ith'li, the connection with him that they had shared had grown once more. It was just the close proximity of being on Bastion that had fueled it back into existence. It was nowhere near where it had been before his death and rebirth, but it was there and it was powerful between them.
From this connection Murra became aware of agony, no where near what she had felt when the man had "died", but it was enough to send her mind whirling with efforts of controlling it on her end. The control would not come, it was not hers to be used. It was all within Ith'li's form. It was his agony, his anger, she swallowed sharply as she realized this. A cold feeling settled into her bones and she shuddered. Whatever had happened, Murra knew only one thing: Ith'li was hurt and badly. She shut her eyes against the spinning corridor and called the Force to aid her in that moment. She needed air, she needed to think. Murra allowed herself a moments time, in that moment she shuddered once more. There was no aid, the deadly cold of the Force answered her with a shivering touch, as if something unforgiving were snaking its way out of her past to claim what it had failed to claim the first time around.
Then it was gone, the warmth of her beloved Light Side returning. The shivering was soon to stop, but long moments had passed since the onset of whatever had occurred. She knew not how long she had been kneeling there, but it was long enough to delay her arrival at the transport.
Kabe: The hope that Kabe had was shattered only a few minutes later as he waited on the docking bay flight deck. As connected as he was, he only had a few moments to ponder the disturbance he felt. He opened up more, wanting to touch it, to know it, instead of shielding like he should have been. Moments later transparisteel fangs of Darkside energy shoved violently into his brain and mind. He could almost hear the sound of pain ringing sharply within his mind, a high-pitched screech like glass nails scraping on a chalkboard. At the same time was the overwhelming feeling of death, and the gut-wrenching flow of negativity. Instantly he lost all awareness of his surroundings, only being aware of the pain in his mind, and body. He felt his stomach turn and knot, as though he'd been stressed for years. He reached out to the Force, clinging to it like a lifeline, and let it circulate through his body. The pain worsened then began to ease slowly as he cycled the negative energies out of his body and soul, channeling the energy away into the decking below him. It was then that he realized that his legs had given out as he slowly came back to awareness of his body. What had happened? He held his head as he rested on his side. He felt like he had a pair of large mallets coated in webweaver poison smacking the inside of his skull, looking for a way out. He whimpered slightly. That sucked. Slowly he began to channel the angry red energy out of his head, trying not to focus on anything more than getting himself in fighting condition again.
Murra: Her body, still trying to adjust to what the Force had pumped into it, refused to allow the human woman to her feet. The last time she had felt such a sensation Murra had been lucky enough to not need the movement of her muscles for a few hours afterward. That was not the case this time. She could not afford to keep them waiting any longer then they had already. She was certain that by now everyone would be gathering into the flight deck, waiting on the Jedi Master. She took in another deep breath, feeling her lungs expand and burst into flames as the oxygen filled them. It hurt, feeling as if her rib cage had collapsed inward, proving to be a reminder that she was not as whole as she appeared to be on the outside. Murra held herself there for a few moments, allowing the Force to carry sustenance to her muscles, delivering the oxygen that was needed for movement. She felt stiff, awkwardly stiff. With the failure to rise coming from the exercise, Murra shut her eyes and reached out to the Force. Only one other, she knew, would have felt at least something from the disturbance. That would have been Kabe. He had been close enough to both Ith'li and herself for some time now, long enough to develop some kind of link. So if he had not felt anything from Ith'li, then he would have sensed something coming from Murra, an echo of what had flushed through her system would have been relayed to the wookiee, where ever he was at that moment.
Kabe: Time crawled on, ticking by, counting the seconds, his heartbeat quickened from the sheer adrenaline of being hit with that much pain at once. As his mind began to reach out and grasp his surroundings more, a second wave of pain, this time his lungs filling with fire, his muscles stiffening, tightening caused him to groan again. It wasn't his own pain this time. He blinked, then shut his eyes tightly again as the docking bay lights were harsh. If anyone was trying to aid him, he didn't know, but one thing he did know was that he was not the only one suffering. He sensed Ith'li's involvement, though he didn't think he was the root cause. The man had no reason to harm him. As logical thought was returning slowly through the anguish his mind brushed outward again, finding a white coal of pain, onboard the very same ship. Murra. He reached out through the Force, his right hand extending out over the deck slightly, as though to take her hand if she were next to him. As his mind touched hers, he whimpered again, the pain she felt flooding through him and doubling his own, but knowing it was hers, not his own helped him deal with it, and shield it away. Overall it was no worse than what he'd experienced after Theed, and on Dathomir, and on the trip home from Obroa-Skai. Someone had once said that a Jedi's life was pain. He'd thought that was a miscalculation then.. now he was starting to wonder if that wasn't indeed the truth. Then again, every point of survival involved pain of some kind. Pain let you know you were still alive, and having life, which was a sign of the Force. If you could still feel pain, and you could still make a fist, you were alive. Slowly as he lay there, he imagined wrapping his hand around Murra's and while his own pain was great, he anchored himself in the Force, and let himself be the rock to hold onto, and stabilize herself with, until she could move. Quietly, he gasped, not using the Force to enhance his words, as it was focused on other things, "Find Murra, make sure she's alright... port side, deck seven."
Murra: Those that were close enough to the wookiee to hear what he had said exchanged concerned glances with one another. Her ships crew, if not members of the drop team. After a moment of watching the prostrate wookiee they hurried off, wanting to be certain that he was not just attempting to put them off from their work. He was Jedi, that is what he had been introduced to them as. They had no reason to believe that this could be nothing more then a distraction. On the other side of the ship Murra lay there, her body slowly coming down from the extremes that it had been put to. Her breathing was now far more stable, if a bit shaky. She still dared not to open her eyes. The world around her would have swam if she had. What in the nine hells had occurred on Bastion to affect her so? Ith'li was still alive, if in his own world of pain. Her daughter was no in any danger, nor were any of her children. There had been no confrontation of that sort. Within her mind she stayed, feeling the familiar presence of Kabe as if he were there next to her. She reached out to it with her mind, his soothing grasp filtering through her darkened thoughts. These thoughts had begun to turn into the pain, wanting to recede from the life she had come to know. It was as if her body were telling her that now was a time for rest, and not action as she had planned. With Kabe there, being an anchor for her, Murra knew she could not let her mind slip into that darkness. It was a realization that caused her eyes to open with a sharp cry falling from her lips. The lights from the corridor burned into her eyes, feeling as if each ray of electricity were the tiniest of pins being launched at her from the bowcaster of her wookiee companion. She remained where she was, though, unable to do much else at the moment.
Kabe: Feeling Murra start to slip, his own pain was immediately forgotten. The string of Force that was between them he immediately began pumping more energy through, turning it from string to rope, to a fire hose. Really, he wasn't in his body anymore, his mind with Murra. He'd done this often enough while adrift in space, and even had used it to appear before her at Theed, and just before going to Dathomir. He never imagined he would use it to anchor one of his own to this world. He held onto her as tightly as he could manage mentally, wrapping the Force into all that he did. The vibrations of running feet passed from the floor into the wookiee's head, making him hold it with his free hand, then returned his focus back to the Jedi Master, doing his best to send comfort, and his wookiee strength to her. ~I'm here, Wrrlurra, quiet soldier. Help is on the way... I think. Hang on.~ His voice was a cross of that of a father, and a brother, father because he was older than her, even though she had full grown children of her own, and brother because she was strong in the Force, stronger than he was. ~Are you alright?~ If the words didn't come across, the impressions would. She would know. He could tell she knew he was with her if not in body at least through the Force.
Murra: Will, she told herself, fighting off the want of sleep. Will, and the strength to live are what make us who we are. Our experiences, she muttered to herself, half way forming the words as they came to her mind through the fog of Force from which she felt Kabe, give rise to the people we come to be. She felt his concern, and reached out toward it, her left hand outstretching across the floor as if looking to find his large paw of a hand where there was only space. Brother, friend, family and father, her breath caught in her throat as his impressions reached to her from within her mind. What was she giving up on? If anything? Why allow such urges to claim her now when she had come through from far worse? She shut her eyes, nodding against the cold metal floor. "I am alright, Kabraka." would be returned to him through the Force, she strength of the sensation belayed by the strength within her mentality. She was suffering more then she would let on. She had been suffering so for quite some time now, keeping it out of the way and hidden so that the job would get done. "Do not worry about me, brother..." It was all she could manage before she felt the sensation of her men coming to her aid. Apparently those who had been in the flight deck with the wookiee had realized it would take longer for them to reach her, so they alerted those who were in closer proximity to the plight of their commander. In the flight deck should he be listening to the room around him, Kabe would hear a relieved sigh coming from one of the crew members as the message came back over a hand held com unit. Their General had been found, and despite the woman's apparent need for great rest she was in good condition. That would be what her body would show outwardly, Kabe would feel the conflict she struggled with internally.
Kabe: He sighed in relief knowing and feeling presences of the crew near her now, as well as sort of hearing it with his ears. Were they hers, or his? He didn't know, but still ethereally he held her hand, feeling her strengthen slowly. He knew that she was a tough bitch.. that thought caused him to grin inwardly.. but she was also in really bad shape. Not necessarily in body, but in the Force. He could have sworn he was looking on a woman that had been beaten by an angry husband, and he didn't even bother to use his fists, but a baseball bat. She'd healed, and he'd done it again, over and over. She needed some serious help. He'd felt a flicker of this on Bastion when she had taken his burns and healed them but now.. she seriously needed help. He'd been able to help heal and stabilize Tiro, but that had been only because of his time healing himself, and maintaining himself, but there was one thing that he knew that he could do, if she let him. ~It's my turn to return the favor.~ Slowly, he dove more into her, or started to, not necessarily blending with her, but connecting to her pain through the Force, and like a magnet, a black hole, began to draw it to himself. If nothing else, he could take her pain, and that in and of itself was often enough to relieve the tension a person held and start them on their own road to recovery. Once again, it was a labor of love that caused him to
Murra: "General, can you stand?" To answer the soft and concerned voice Murra shook her head. She would not be able to hold herself up with Kabe poking and prodding around in her mind. Her attention would be too inwardly drawn to aid her equilibrium. She wasted no words on a vocal response, feeling Kabe attempting to slide closer into her mind, to help her heal from whatever agony she was suffering with. She felt her body lifted, supported on either side by a member of her crew. If she had the time, the thought would have occurred to her -- she did not want the team members to see her in such a condition. They were all already so worried about her well being. She would not gain a moment's rest, or the ability to move on her own without someone watching to see that she didn’t collapse. She sent Kabe a small wave of annoyance, but did not shut herself off to him. The message would be the impression of not liking to be fussed over, no matter how much it was needed. The grown woman was stubborn, prideful to say the least. But she knew that Kabe's aid was needed, other wise her demeanor would not be recovered and she would not be fit for the mission ahead of them. She shut her eyes, giving off a small sigh as she opened her mind up to the past pains, memories which struck deep and caused her to hold only the emotional agony she was battling. Guilt, anger, frustration and above all others there was fear.
Kabe: The world spun around him and disappeared again. He felt a hand on his shoulder, trying to get his attention, but quietly he murmured, "If you want this rescue operation to succeed do not interrupt until I give the go ahead." It was said more out of reflex and annoyance, than conscious thought, as he turned back to Murra, feeling her annoyance. He smiled at her not wanting to be fussed over, but sent the impression back of his smile, and of brushing her hair away from her face. He felt her open up to herself, and thus to him. Years of wounds were there, seemingly held onto as a matter of pride more than anything. To him, it looked as though he'd just walked into a condemned building that was partially collapsed. Time was ticking, he knew. Quickness without haste. Movement with deliberation and purpose, but without waste. Granted, he wasn't as good at healing as she was, but where the emotions and such lie, that was something he was very good with. He'd had his own trials growing up, and then the trials of his family, his wife, his sons. Briefly his mind flitted to them, and to Thira, who was on her way to go get them. He enforced focus back on himself and to Murra. He could tell she was being moved, but not under her own power. She was in good hands. Now, while he had the chance, and while she was open, he gently reached inside. It was more the guidance of the Force, and his own instincts that helped than any specific knowledge of Jedi Healing Techniques. Slowly he looked for the small wounds, gently working on cleaning them, taking the guilt, and anger, and frustration over each self-appointed failure, each loss, big or small. It wasn't his own pain. He didn't have to hold onto it, but let it return to the Force to be balanced and smoothed, soothed and eased into the natural way of life. Ever so gently and slowly he worked, keeping a steady pace, all the time, with each memory that he didn't blame or judge, but only radiated warmth and compassion. He wasn't terribly aware of what had happened, but he knew through this turn of events that even if he could help her only some, it was probably more relief than she'd probably had in a long time. He'd felt her suffering in silence before on the way to Endor, while they were there, and after, especially on Bastion. She blamed herself for so much, and while she was right in that aspect, she couldn't wholeheartedly take the responsibility, as everyone she was dealing with was an adult. Everyone knew the choices they made, and by making such a choice were prepared for the consequences. As he continued to work, he did his best to temper her with his wookiee strength. Life was hard, but you didn't have to let it eat you up inside. Time disappeared. He could have been there for seconds or years, or hours. It was only Murra that he was aware of, and parts of her that maybe she hadn't been ready to let go of, but now that he was there, and working, he was determined to do as much as he could, always methodical. Often it was some minor detail that caused a hunter's downfall.
Murra: She felt his concentration on her waver, only to come back into focus a moment later. She warmed up to the feeling of having him this close to her. She had not allowed anyone, other then Ith'li to see such pain, such emotion within her form. She had thought to have done a good job of hiding it all. Her burden was her own to carry, why allow others to see it when theirs could have weighed much much more? With each passing moment, though, she found it easier to breathe. It was as if each exhale, each second that Kabe was within her mind brought a deeper meaning of clarity to her mind. He was doing a good job of sweeping the cobwebs away, of recognizing her pain and dispersing it into the vastness of the Force as it flowed around her. It was odd, she thought, sending the sensation of this lacking back across the lines of the Force to her friend. She had held onto each emotion for so long, battled within herself for so many ages, that now without it, she had little to no clue as to how to react to the feeling of peace that was settling over her. Each step that her men took, carrying her weight with their own, brought them closer to being in the flight deck. They had a l few more corridors to take, but it would not take all that much time to reach the transport. "I wish to arrive on my own feet." she muttered to the men carrying her. Resolute, was she, in the fact that she wanted no others in the team to see her feeble, especially not Leato Kan.
Kabe: A smile or the equivalent of spread across his wookiee features as he felt the pains inside her easing, the emotional wounds starting to heal already. As Murra relaxed, but felt odd with the pain lessening he simply sent her a returning pat through the Force, washing away the last of it as peace and calm began to flow through her, washing her wounds clean through the Force. He eased his embrace with the Force, feeling her near the docking bay, and feeling that she would be alright. He laid there, his breathing deep and slow, the cool deck beneath him now warm, almost hot from the work he'd been doing. He let go of her hand in the Force only to bring his hand over his eyes as he opened them, filtering out the harsh light of the bay through his fur. Slowly he looked around, his eyes scanning the room to see crewers, techies, and the party that had gathered there. He rolled onto his back, moving off the hot-plate, to feel the cool metal under his back. How long he was 'under' he didn't know, but it probably delayed their takeoff. He didn't care. He needed everyone, especially the leader of this little expedition in top form.

Sheridan was first to the transport. Followed by Leato who was also ready to go. She felt oddly useless, not having anything to do. The staff aboard the Veritas was well trained and had everything prepared before she had arrived. She paced outside the transport, just killing time until the others arrived. She felt that preparation was a good thing and each person had gone to do some. She fingered the simple jewels on her earlobe, nervous about the upcoming mission. Already some did not like her, though she was not here to win a popularity contest, if it came to her making a decision she needed them to follow that decision because it could save their lives. Still it might not come to that and Murra may be around to make the decision instead of her.
She hoped soon that she would get more time with Murra to train. Hopefully on the way back and preferably after they made sure Leiyn was alright and in the hands of the capable med staff on the Veritas. It was then that for no apparent reason, she shivered violently. Her hands automatically wrapped around her body to warm herself. She closed her eyes feeling that if she concentrated enough, she could see something. What it was she was looking for, she could not tell. Something was wrong in so many ways. She had felt this way before when her fathers life was in danger. Surely noone was in danger on the Veritas. Yet nothing came to her except the cold and an inkling of pain, though fleeting as it was, she could not dismiss it.
It was cold and dark within, and the feeling of giving up was inside. But it was not her own, she knew. Tears slipped from her eyes and she hastily brushed them away. This was no time for tears. She was a captain, a damned good smuggler and tears had no place on this mission. She knew something was wrong but not with this mission. Someone she knew was in great pain. She also was not focused or powerful enough in the force to know who. And thus she opened her eyes and shook her head to free it from the confines of the dark cold. It took several minutes, but it finally receeded to the background. Still there was something undefinable plaguing her mind, different from before. Someone was using the force greatly nearby. All of these odd happenings did not bode well for Sheridans superstitions. Hopefully things would go much smoother on the surface.
She saw Murra being brought to the hanger, and though she was not carried, Sheridan could tell there had been something wrong. A look of worry came over her face, not for the leader of the mission, but for her freind and Master. She hid this shortly after Murra would see it and simply entered the transport without waiting for others. They would get there soon, Sheridan needed to start up the engines and get ready to fly. If Murra wished to speak, Sheridan would let her, but she wouldnt push her.

seeing the look on merek's face, the look of a man about to strike, she readied herself. she knew she wouldnt be able to do much agaisnt him. he was way more skilled in fighting then she was. if he threw a punch, the would block it, she wouldnt strike back. her defensive thoughts gave way rather quickly as recognition grew over merek's handsome face. anna smiled a bit as the back of his fingers swept over her cheek. his touch was so gentile. she turned her head and kissed the palm of his hand before looking into his eyes again. she watned to say that leato was nothing more then a tool, that he was nothing to get upset about, but she couldnt. she knew better from dealing with him. she would always feel the scars of what he had put her through. that kind of pain doesnt heal overnight. she wished it did though, then perhaps she would feel better about herself and her past. she closed her eyes and bent her forhead to meet his lips. speaking softly she opened her eyes. "they are waiting for us."

Leato: Leato sat in the transport an waited. Waited for what was to come. So many energies. So much was happening abroad of what was about to take place. His own mind whirled with what was going on in his heart. and with something else. But the others. So much was being pushed into this one event. He feard what may come of that. Everone was tight. ready. It would only take a small spark to start this blaze. One unneeded death. One person close to one of them will effect all of them. If that happened the mission might fail .They might loose more than what was needed. His own attempts to clear his mind of what was going on within him had been futile. But he had the simple pleasure of just dissapearing to let another come forth. What was safer. What would be better for the mission. Him...or the other. He didnt know what he was to do. And the only one he trusted was dealing with her own problems at the moment. His companion was blinded by many feelings. Her loyalty to him yet the fear of what he may do. And the careing for another. This mission was a dissaster from the start. And he should have seen it. He should have known better. But his priorities had been different. ( if any of this doesnt fit forgive me....im limited to what that thing bobbi calls a computer sends me. ill have connection soon enough. then everything will be easy. thank you.)
Murra: As she stepped into the flight deck, Murra's eyes went to Sheridan who turned and boarded. She was ready, and understood that Murra would speak of what happened when the older woman was ready. Leato was on board as well, she could feel him near by. His contemplation would bring him nothing, as would the contemplation of all involved. They were not ment to know what was to happen, it was well hidden within the Force.
She took a deep breath, pushing her chin upward, righting her stance so that she would walk at her full height. When one of her gaurdsmen moved forward to assist her, Murra gave a small motion and stiffly turned toward him. "Have the crew prepare a second transport. Have it ready and waiting to cover our retreat if need be." SHe did not wait for acknowledgement, she turned back around and began toward the shuttle.
Her steps took her toward Kabe as he leaned against a landing strut. She knelt, being careful of her balance. "Kabe, it's time. Let's go." She held out her right hand toward him, offering him a warm smile.

instructor_merek: He sighed, glancing toward the small airlock of the Destiny. "Yeah, I know. Don't wanna disappoint, now do we." He brushed a hand through her hair, then gently urged her with a hand to come with him as he walked past her slowly. A smile floated across his lips. Everything was fine again, at least for now. The sound of his booted feet making only a slight noise was all that he gave off as he headed for the airlock. He'd already set the passcode for the ship, as he didn't want random people helping themseves to a tour. Again, the mask of the scoundrel was slipping into place, but now it was a bit different. He began to hide his true felings depe down inside, hiding the happiness, and letting the hardness of his life come to the forefront. He was fixing to be among people down there that would not hesitate to use his happiness and emotions against him. His thoughts could get him into serious shit real quick. While smugglers and pirates may not all have the Force with them, they could read a person just as well by a look in their eyes. Deepest of all, he burried his concern and care for Anna. That was the newest weak spot, and he couldn't allow anybody to use her against him.
annabell_tremour: she smiled as he touched her hair, again she hoped it would all turn out well. she turned and followed him, quickly falling into step beside him. she too, let her attitude change, the look about her. she pushed her concern for merek away, her thoughts of leato and what his will was.. what he wanted from her and from teh rest of them. she pushed away her fear of the Tekal woman disapproving of who and what anna had become. she focused on teh task at hand. making herself look harder then she normaly would. she gave off the facade of confidence, danger and attitude. deep deep down inside she was very very nervous about the outcome, about possibilites that might happen down there on teh surface. merek, leato, mura, kabe, sheridan, logan, and leiyn were all on her mind somewhere deep inside, though she wouldnt let it show. she stepped into the airlock and waited for him to hit the release hatch. soon this little shindig would be underway and they would know exactly what kind of future leato has in store for htem all.
instructor_merek: The inner doors closed behind them, then the outer doors opened a moment later, giving them a nice view of the bay. He smiled and gestured for her to proceed him, then slipped on a backpack that he'd prepared for this little event 'just in case'. Moments later he stepped otu of the airlock as well, and then keyed the door shut, and locked it. With a slight thump at each step he headed down the ramp, his movements loose and flowing, adopting an almost swagger to his steps really. Might annoy some, but he didn't care. He was adopting a new persona in his mind. Jek Nedos. Jek was the somewhat cocky, and slightly overconfident type, maybe ran his mouth a lil too much. "Sorry to keep everybody body waitin' but then again, can't go anywhere without me." He flashed a smartassed grin and headed for the shuttle giving Murra and Kabe a wink. It seemed by his mannerisms he'd all but forgotten about Anna.
annabell_tremour: anna preceded merek as she exited the air lock. she continued for the transport knowing merek would be behind her. she didnt see him adopt the swagger, but felt the change in him. it was all business. she knew that and forced herself to ignore the little feeling that most women would get if their significant other was acting to ignore them. for the most part she was able to push it away. she didnt need that hindering her during this little trip. she knew once it was over, he would aknowledge her as he always had. she nodded to her companions as she entered the transport and found her way to an open seat. her eyes found their way to the floor to keep her mind from wandering to merek or leato or murra.
instructor_merek: Merek followed Anna into the shuttle, making no bones about looking her over as she walked.. er Jek did. He smiled, and then looked Sheridan over with the same eyes, giving her a wink. As he found a jumpseat in the shuttle he looked over at Anna. "Hey pretty lady, I'm bored. You wanna dance while we wait on grandma and grandpa to get this clunker warmed up and out of the bay." His tone meant the pilot and copilot, but just as easily meant Murra and Leato as well. Already his precise movements were becoming more loose and sloppy,. AS he sat there he slouched, some, which was really just a pose as he spoke to Anna.
annabell_tremour: anna lifted her head as he spoke to her. his tone had changed. the way he spoke, the words he used. his posture everything about him was different. it was not the merek she knew. deciding to play along, her eyes adopted a "you've got to be kidding me" look and a smirk crossed her lips. "yeah, sure, i'll dance for you, but only if you give the wookie head." the way she was sitting took on the attitude she had pushed into her words. her arms folded across her abdomen and her head tilted to the side slightly, her eyes remaining on jek.
instructor_merek: Jek glanced to Kabe, then back to Anna, then back to Kabe who shook his head in protest. Jek grinned widely and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He tilted his head, as he spoke. "You know, usually I charge 50 credits a job.. but for wookies its 75. That jakes my jaw hurt." He grinned and gave her a wink, sitting back against the wall of the shuttle again. Kabe looked at the both of them wide eyed. He wondered what his wife would have to say about that, then shrugged as he wouldn't let that one happen.
annabell_tremour: seeing kabe's reaction to her words and jek's response, she couldnt help but laugh. man.. what a smartass.. she had to admit it was funny though. poor kabe being caught in the middle of it. she kinda felt bad because she hadnt expected that reaction from merek. after her laughter died down, which was only a moment or two, anna rested her head back against the bulkhead and closed her eyes. she streatched her legs out infront of her crossing them at her ankles. her arms were still crossed over her stomach. she shook her head a bit and waited for them to take off.

Leato: He sat in his seat dressed the part of a smuggler...not a force user. A leather flight jacket was pocering his weapons and the shirt he worked in normally. Faded black pants tucked into extreamly used boots covered his lower half. A blaster was straped to his leg. His hair always was wild and unkept. He sat in silence as every one was getting ready. At the comments being said he could only grin a little. It was good they could lighten up before all this. Anticipation of something can make it much harder to accomplish. Leaning back in his seat he glanced around at everyone his eyes falling on Murra. They paused for a moment there but soon left to take in everything else. What had been his original plan. What had happened to that. Things were so different now. He wasnt sure anymore. And things he couldnt explain happened inside of him. But this would all be underway soon and he would be very preocupied. That would better the situation much more. Life had a wonderful to twist something so simple into something much more complicated.
Murra: "Ok, kiddies, listen up," Murra began speaking as everyone entered the shuttle and found seats for themselves. She remained close by Kabe, having seated herself somewhere to his left. Her eyes moved across those in the cabin with her and she frowned, adopting a sour demenor. "There have been some changes made...Leato will be with Sheridan. Merek, you Anna and Logan will be in another team. Kabe and I will be in the last. Merek," she said, turning to look at the man as he joked around with Anna, "Your group will be going for supplies. You will also be the last group to see battle if it comes to that. I want you to keep an eye on Anna and Logan, both have little combat experience and they will need your help." Her eyes went then to Leato, watching him for a moment with that distant expression on his face. "Pay attention, Clone," She waited for him to turn his attention toward her then continued, " you and Sheridan will be heading for the fuel. Kabe and I are going for Leyin. If we fail then it is up to you two, Leato, to finish the job." She returned her attention back to Merek and Anna, "And if they fail, I want you, Anna, and Logan to get back to the Veritas as soon as you can. There is no reason we should all die out here. Your orders after reaching the Veritas are to return to Bastion, get help from the Jedi and only then are you to return here to Ord Mantel. Is that clear?"

She looked at Jek and raised a brow as he looked her over like she was his favorite peice of meat. She shook her head and smiled, not really caring. She was used to such things. But they were all getting into character so to speak and she took that as his. It didnt bother her in the least. She slid into the pilots chair with the ease of someone who knew ships very well. Automatically her hands began the work of powering up the ship and getting everything in the Nav computer. Her fingers deftly flicked switches and pushed buttons. As Murra began her rearranging Sheridan listened but continued her work.
She looked over at Leato when Murra paired him with her. She rolled her eyes, not liking him but at least he wasnt around Murra. She turned back to the consol and pushed a few more buttons and turned a knob before putting on the ear piece and microphone to communicate with command. "Clear as a bell Murra. But I suggest you get strapped in, we are ready to go." She waited pateintly and looked to make sure everyone was strapped in before taking ahold of the controls to steer, she began their trip. She concentrated soley on the piloting and left everyone to their own devices aboard the transport. Her flying was as smooth as butter. She was by no means the best pilot in the galaxy, but she was damned good.
They passed through the atmosphere and began their descent into the major metropolis on this side of Ord Mandell. "Hanger Six this is Veritas Transport One. Requesting permission to dock."
"Permission granted Veritas Transport One. You understand if there is not a welcoming party. Get your business done swiftly Miss Karrde."
"Roger that Hanger six." Her hands and eyes were a flurry of movement as she carefully set down the transport in the hanger bay. There was a slight bump as they landed and the engines shut down. Sheridan removed her earphone and mic and placed them on the console. She looked over at Leato. "I need to be the first of the group to leave the transport. Have no doubt you are being watched here." She unstrapped herself and then stood, exiting the cockpit.

Murra had nodded, seating herself on cue from Sheridan. It would take but moments to get to the surface and in that time the Jedi Master would check her weaponry, making certain that it was set to the most effective level of stun. After reholstering the weapon her eyes turned to the room around her. It was silent, everyone was hard-edged and rough looking. Perhaps they could pull off this little mission without a glitch. But if she and Leato were involved, Murra knew that there was trouble brewing somewhere in the background. None present had been able to shake the feeling of wrongness. It was still there, lingering in the back of her mind. Murra pushed it down and away as the shuttle landed. She rose, turning her attention to the group as Sheridan made her way from the cockpit. After the other woman was done adressing Leato, and the others, Murra spoke once more. "Remeber, we aren't here to kill. We are not mercinaries, nor are we bounty hunters. Weapons are to be set at maximum level of stun, no exceptions." she turned her hard gaze to the rampway and nodded. She didn't need to reinforce the beliefe of the Jedi on these people. Killing was bad, it was wrong and it was not what they had come here to do. "Jedi, use your Force abilities at a minimum. I do not need to remind you why..." With that she turned her eyes to Kabe, reaching out to the Force as she began to work the Force illusion that would further distort their appearance to the outside world. "Ready?" she said with a deadly grin, holding out her hand to the big wookie.

Merek aka 'Jek' at this moment nodded, his face for a moment seemingly subtly altered back to what was normal, as he nodded, then gave her a quick "trust me" wink, then focused again. He hadn't had time to do any more to his disguise than set up acting perameters. However, as his mind-set changed back, it seems that the lines around his face altered a little but moreover his body language and the feel he gave off changed, and sometimes that could make someone look entirely different, Force talent or no.
Kabe didn't really hear Murra. He did, but it was only through the Force as he buried himself within it, going back deep, slowly rebuilding the disguise. As Murra was speaking Kabe was replacing his silvertip fur with dark black, with deep red highlights. His amber eyes had now become a yellow-green, and the patterns of his fur now were somewhat different than those that were his usual. He also rebuilt the flat-top even though he didn't like it. As he finished, it was only reinforced by Murra a few moments later, which helped... and then once again, he locked it into place, holding it for his use.

as she sat with her eyes closed and her head agaisnt hte bulkhead, anna called to mind the attitude she carried before leato had found her again. she hadnt wanted to be messed with baack then, hadnt wanted to get involved with anyone and put up a front suggesting so. her body movement, her eyes, everything portrayed a woman with attitude. she opened her eyes and sat forward, removing her blaster from its holster checking the stun setting. yep, full power. placing it back, she looked up at murra and waited for the command to get this party started. what ever was to happen would happen, she could only wait to meet it head on. she knew she wouldnt use the force as readily as she would have in another time, but then again, using it hadnt been that easy in a long while. she cast her gaze to jek and then to leato and the rest of the group. what would the outcome of today be?

Leato
He fallowed slowly from the ship. His dark grays kept a close eye on everything around him. The better part of Orin had been in control for a while now. Guiding things in a safer path. He did not want to be part of anything in this place and time. and he knew his partner would rather him be elsewhere. Probly turned over to someone to have a fate not so welcome. He smiled and knew it was understandable. Leato was a very unfriedly character. and she knew nothing of Orin or that they were not the same and yet in this same moment are. He took the part of the good little worker and let her do all the leading. Her face was the one they would know. Her face was what kept them alive for this moment. But he knew where to find his sister and it bothered him that he had to wait back. He should be the one to be looking for her. He knew better than any one else here how to find her. He knew where she was at the moment. and knew the distance between her and Murra. If he trusted any one with the task it was she but he still couldnt shake the feeling something good would not come of this mission.
Sheridan
She turned and stepped close to Leato, taking a bit of his shirt and pinning the spade pin onto it. Then she slipped a small circle sticker behind his ear. She may not have wanted to be his partner in this, but she needed him to trust her and she needed to have at least limited trust of him. Thus she smiled softly before backing away and turning on her heel. "Come on Man, Lets go get the fuel deal I want."She led the way almost meandering through the city. She didnt want to be too far from where Murra was but enough away that one would not make the connection they were doing anything abnormal.
She had to treat him like he was one of hers. This was hardly the first time she had been here. So she acted like he was a new part of the crew and she was training him. "We are going to see a man I know. Whats funny is he thinks of himself in direct competition with me in Cantina's but the truth is, his stinks and has only the ilk of the galaxy. He also has half the number I do and not doing half as well either. In truth I would be expected to look at my competition and thusly really cant leave without visiting him." She turned to him and grimaced, not because of him but of the nasty snot of a man they were about to see.
She turned on a side street. Before entering the door of a place labeled "Bestin Cantina" she straightened her clothing and hair. "See, not even a good name." She winks and shrugs and enters the cantina not waiting to see if Leato would follow.

Transcript from two or three days ago... I think?
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: After Sheridan had led the way down the ramp, Murra reached up and tapped at the com unit situated behind her ear. She spoke softly into it, turning her eyes to the world around them. "Keep your eyes open and your senses atuned." The message was mainly ment for Anna and the other young Jedi. Each of them had experience, some more then others. As head of the team, and as a teacher to Jedi, Murra found it often needed to repeat lessons more then once. It kept the mind sharp, the body ready for anything. Her attention was then turned to her partner adn she nodded, motioning off toward the direction where she had felt Leyin while they were landing. "Let's go..." This would be difficult, they had no indication, but from the Force, as to where the weakened Jedi was. If Murra lost <C> jedi_master_murra_tekal: concentration, or was handicapped in any way, they would loose their lead. <E>
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Kabe checked the power on his bow-caster, which was set up to use an energy rifle, as well as be able to fire quarrels. He'd set the weapon for two thirds of what it could do, as the heavy gun could do some nasty and serious damage to the nervous system at full power. They didn't have time to repair people, nor did they need to. Full power would drop another wookiee, or a barbarel, which were able handle the stun without any effects from most blasters. He slung the bowcaster over his shoulder then reached up behind his ear and turned on his own com unit, hearing the slight hiss of static as it tuned itself to the others. "Murra, come back. Over." He was calling for a simple radio check. "Oh damn! ... Damnit Thira!," he muttered rather loudly as he looked through his pouch. He <c>
wookie_kabraka: smiled though, and closed his eyes, and imagined he could see and hear his wife even from this distance, and murmured to Thira, "Take care of her, Rilrkkata." He sighed. Back to the operation. The Chiss girl had stolen Flirt from him while they were still on Bastion. It was alright, since Flirt was made by both of them, and Joan had programmed the micro-droid, but now he knew that the little thing would come in handy on the ground. He sighed, stepping outside onto the landing pad, wrinkling his nose and waving away the air. "It stinks here..." The whole place smelled of burning fossil fuels, and polution. He glanced up at the pink clouds, then looked around the small city. Their target would likely be to the south. Kabe looked at Murra, who he could feel the Force buzzing slightly from,<c>
wookie_kabraka: and could almost see a line, a string heading that way. He reached out with the Force as well, closing his eyes as he did so, reaching out with his feelings, but doing so as quietly as possible. Meanwhile Merek slipped down the ramp clicking on his own com unit. He gestured for Anna to follow. "Now, my sweet chick, we dance," he said, once again his voice switched to that of Jek. He gave her a wink then gestured for Dark to follow. Merek checked his weapons one last time, checking the sights, then put them away. "Man... We get stuck grocery shopping.. wonderful. Hey, while we're at it, can I go get a grill and sit back here in a lawnchair and cook some steaks?" Kabe turned and gave Merek/Jek a "Shut up."- look. "What?" Kabe shook his head, and muttered, "Get to work, nutjob." <c>
wookie_kabraka: THen the wook turned, and began to follow Murra, putting the youths out of his mind. If they did what they were supposed to do, they'd be alright. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: anna followed merek out of the transport. her boots thuding heavily on teh ramp. she rolled her eyes at his words and smirked, this was going to be interesting. she could hear murra speaking perfectly through her com and nodded to the jedi master's words. she felt that if things did turn sour and she needed to protect herself, she stood a fair chance. merek had taught her a few things while on their way to this stink of a planet. she already knew that her blaster was set up right, and just wanted to get this underway, get it over with and get back home. she waited at the bottom of the ramp, next to merek, for logan to join them. she folded her arms over her abdomen and put her weight on <c>
angelove51682: put her wieght on her right leg. <e>
Caedmon directing NPC's: angelous90: Out there, in the wild of Ord Mantell... and yes, it could be considerred wild... because this metroplis of thriving bussiness, and seedy characters, was as untamed as a rancor. They had readying themselves, a band of smugglers, acutally the United Smugglers Guild, to be precise. The USG had been the first to recieve word of their 'would be rescusers' And so, had been consquently preparing themselves more so than before. Not to mention, they were readying themselves to stand up against the threat of the Protectorete, and possibly the iron grip of the Alliance(Which, upto now had been laxed in providing law enforcement to this planet) All and all the USG were ready for a fight- or atleast the ones that were being paid were. Bounty hunters managed to join in with the crews, and together. <c>
angelous90: They spread out in small squadrons, easily able to fall back and join in with others. They were going to protect their investors investment... because it was profitable to do such... And at the back of all this, standing quietly in his quarters, watching throw holo-screens... was the man in charge of it all.. The Bounty Hunter... XXX <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Ignoring the foul smells of the planet, as well as the conversation made by Jek, Murra began to wander, seemingly aimlessly toward the south. Kabe would be with her, she could feel him tracking along her lines of the Force. To this the Jedi opened herself more, pushing her awareness toward the place where she felt Leiyn. They were coming, she wanted the other woman to be aware of this, to aid however she possibly could. "Stay with me, brother." she spoke to the wookie through the com, " There is a storm brewing to the south..." She frowned, feeling the bubble of action at teh edge of her awareness. Her eyes moved to those that they passed, paying little mind to those who felt like they were nothing within the Force. That is to say, unless she felt them as a threat, <c>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: Murra would allow them to pass by without further inspection.
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Kabe grinned, moving in tandem with Murra. His attention was focused on his Sphere of Responsibility, as Corran Horn had called it. It was that spherical form of Force perception, that acted like the sensors on a fighter. As he walked, he found himself thinking of home. He and his people were predators, almost super-predators at that. Now he was a super-predator. As he walked, he was able to pick out all the denizens of Ord Mantell within a mile. He could have taken a census of every grub and roach that prowled beneath the streets, or counted every Rodian there in a moments time. Murra was focused on finding. Kabe was focused on watching. Any warnings through the Force he would pick up on. As he began to grow mentally quiet, he could feel the ebb and flow of the people and their <c>
wookie_kabraka: thoughts around him. Night time was easier to do this on, as he'd used it a number of times to pick up the intent of the people around him, and with so many asleep, that made it infinately easier. Any thoughts or interest in their direction he subtly directed somewhere else, sometimes to food, sometimes to going to the 'fresher, sometimes to some other random person, place, thing or memory. He was very subtle in his machinations and manipulations of those in the crowds, letting their lack of mental discipline work in their favor. "Don't worry, I'm with you, lil' sis," Kabraka murmured quietly, in response to her words that were nearly in his ear. He took a moment to tag each of the party members with a color. Murra he tagged blue. Leato he tagged gold. Sheridan he tagged green. Merek <c>
wookie_kabraka: he tagged silver. Logan tagged as charcoal. Anna he tagged violet. While his "Sphere" was both a general sense, it also formed a sort of holo-map in his head, and so he would know where any of them were, within a mile, accurate down to a few meters. He could have made his awareness broader, but he needed to keep a low profile. The more things you had to watch, the harder it became. Merek, seeing Kabe and Murra head off to the south, both seemingly wandering, though Murra seemed in a half-daze... that figured for the old woman. Kabe however, kept his eyes and head on a swivel still, ever alert. He sighed. "Right, lets get this party started." He picked up a manifest of what they were "shopping" for. He -did- need a couple items. He looked at Anna and Logan. "Either of you got anything <c>
wookie_kabraka: you need to pick up while we're here? Ord Mantel is always a good place to pick up weapons." <e>
Anna: angelove51682: anna watched the wookie and murra head towards the south. silently she wished them luck then turned her attention to merek. she nodded. it was always good to see what one could find. she doubted the prices would be reasonable, but it wouldnt hurt to look around. "lets get started shall we?"
Caedmon directing NPC's: angelous90: -:The bounty hunters and smugglers were now spread thoroughly. Especially near the Compound they called a base. From rooftops they took aim, Bounty Hunters equipped with vibro-staffs and swords hugged the cornors and shadows.. waiting for their time to take on there enemey. Atop the Compound's walls waited to heavey repeatting blasters... just incase they had more trouble than they could bargin for. XXX Motioned for his body guard, a bipedial beast, whom resembled a wolf in his visage, and hard startling blue furr, and shocking green eyes. No-One here knew his name, not even his employer.. but very few didn't know enough to respect him.. HE was only <c>
angelous90: here to pay for the ship The USG was giving him. XXX Spoke now... "Get ready, get off your ass... Procede as planned.." They had a secret instore for this little group. As they moved into the strike zone, the smugglers would begin to open fire from the rooftops. There was approximately Five on each side laying out blaster fire to the streets below, and another three on each side within buildings offering even more fire.. From afar XXX faceplanted, This was what he was paying for... people who couldn't have hit the right side of a krat dragon.. The smugglers shots were far off target, and quite unskilled.... they'd be lucky to have gotten the air around the incoming party, let alone the members of it... Perhaps sheer volume would make contact <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: Confusion rang out around her, the "blind woman" could feel it strongly in the minds of people as the fire fight started. The whirlwind of panick kicked into most minds, driving those unarmed, or uninvolved to dive for cover. She, though, stayed close to Kabe, still carrying that far off look to her face. "How many do you count?" she asked, murmering into the com unit behind her ear. She counted roughly sixteen, herself, judging by where the fire was coming, not from really seeing those close at hand. She kept her mind tapped onto Leiyn, being careful about that connection. There would not be a lot of effort put into any other Force feat, this was what they had come for, she could spare only so much energy elsewhere.
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Kabe frowned, hearing her question. He'd crouched as soon as weapon's fire broke out from nearby windows. ... That didn't fit. Surely then, they knew exactly what they were looking for. He gathered the Force around him and sent out a small ping of energy, and got a series of "returns" as the wave front expanded. Sixteen, all of which were now marked in red on his mental map. "Sixteen, with the marksmanship of a five year old." As he relayed the information to Murra he barely moved as a bolt hit near his knee, kicking up a small plume of dirt. For now, they were alright, but once they either figured out how to use their guns, by trial and error, or stopped panicing and started aiming, then they wouldn't be as safe. Idly his hands pulled a quarrel out from the pouch at his right thigh. He <c>
wookie_kabraka: pulled back the string on the caster, and loaded the quarrel, looking for the best firing angles for his position. He didn't want to waste time doing room-entry and building-clearing. That was one thing he'd hated, but he was good at. Meanwhile, Merek was now working his way through the streets, Anna and Logan in tow. He frowned not actually hearing much comentary at all out of Kabe and Murra.. except for the occasional remark. Those two worked quick and quiet.. and like they'd been doing this side-by-side for a long time. It made him wonder if what he'd heard a few months ago wasn't true. What if they were Sith Assassins? Oh well.. it didn't matter. Merek slipped inside one of the weapons dealers. The sign said "Weapons R I" and as Merek entered, he could tell it was a rather large <c>
wookie_kabraka: weaponry-based pawn shop. Hmm.. they had to have a few things. <e>
Caedmon directing NPC's: angelous90: -:And just like that, the fire would stop. Like a wake of death had washed over the grounds. The streets now devoid of life, all that remained were those huddled in the shadows, and those ready for attacking. In all the confusion, more had slipped behind the lines of their targets. Hoping to catch them unawares. The Errie silence that filled the streets now, was hard not to catch.. Fear emitted from so many people that it might grow hard to find which were fearful of their lives to the Two Jedi, and which were fearful of their lives the gunfire. The haze of all these people might make it impossible to locate just where all the enemies were now coming from... XXX Spoke to his men..."Start firing from behind... push them forward..." And so, from the <c>
angelous90: shadows seemed to arise two Bothans. Vibro-blades in hand they charged the group, just as the more skilled marksmen opened fire from the roof-tops.. Hopefully XXX was wrong, and these weren't Jedi, it'd make for a much easier time killing them... The Bothans would attemtp to close the gap that had formed between them and their targets. Swords raised, and ready to fall down in a vertical slash of raw energy. <e>
Anna: angelove51682: stepping into the shop behind merek, anna cast her eyes around at the merchandise. her mind was preoccupied slightly by what was happening with kabe and murra, she knew something was happening with them, she could feel it, but knew that the chances were good that the jedi master and the wookie could handle themselves just fine. if they needed help, they would call for it. slowly, she made her way around the room looking at teh different fire arms and other weapons. <e>
Murra: jedi_master_murra_tekal: She felt everything shift around them, heard the calm of the storm before it was about to hit and muttered to Kabe, "I am going to have to drop the illusion Kabe. Of they get close enough they may know who we are..." This was a great concern for both Murra and teh wookie at her side. The fame that they had gained due to the Protectorate would have hunters crawling up their asses so far, not even a cusion would make sitting comfortable. She retained that far off look, still grasping onto the sensation of where Leiyn was being held. "We are going to have to move much quicker if we want to reach her, big brother." she was listening to the sounds of the crowd around them, hearing the shifting of feet coming up from behind both her and the wookie. "They are in the crowd...behind us..."<C>
jedi_master_murra_tekal: Her words where shallow, holding little emotion to them. It was something that occured in just about every Jedi when they were focused on the Force. She would move when she had to, but not before then. "Can you get to them, or do I need to?..." The old blind woman crouched, leaning against the wall beside her, giving the apperance of being haggard and worn. <e>
Kabe/Merek: wookie_kabraka: Crouched next to her, Kabe picked up a scent that wasnt hers or his own, and was different than everything else around him. The two Bothans struck from the shadows just as he rolled away. As Kabe fell fully into the Force, the world blurred to him, leaving his bowcaster next to Murra. The strikes had been avoided, barely. He could hear the low hum of the vibro-scimictars being wielded by the fellow furries. He spun away, drawing the Ryyks that were the trademark of his family. These were very similar in design, being built like scimitars, but they were also given a handle set at ninety degrees to the blade at the top, which he now wielded them by. That was sneaky. He growled at the two bothans, his movements fast and crisp, while the world moved slowly about. He felt the intent to fire <c>
wookie_kabraka: in the distance and "let the Force have it." His right hand swept up and out, followed by his left both making a circle moving opposite each other. If one was up,the other was down, if one was out, one was in. The subsequent move happened to catch the shot on the blade, which turned red in a single point, but did not melt, or burn through. The steel of the weapons were compressed and condensed so as to be able to withstand the stresses of wookiee fury and battle. This also means they were tempered enough to handle the energy of vibro-weapons as well. <c>
wookie_kabraka: Meanwhile, Merek looked over the interior of the shop... grinning like a kid in a candy store. <e>
(lol, when I log a transcript, I tend to be elaborate... >.< )

Leato
He made no move or even a look as she had touched him to place the pin and hear piece upon him. Anything he did would be analyized by her in some form or fashion. It was just her way. He walked just to her left and back one step as they walked. As all do when following high in comand. It had been in him for so long. Soldiers used to follow like this. Ready to defend their leader at any moment. A custom he had not followed in some time. As she spoke to him he listened with all his attention. He could not let anything she told him that might be of importance on this mission slip through. When she spoke of the man that was her "competition" he could only smile a little. She seemed to miss this life. Maybe not much. But at some level she would always be a smuggler. It was a good prospect to apply to her Jedi training. Everything in life was a lesson for later on. As he followed her inside the cantina the explosion of sound and smell hit him. All forms of life resided in this place. And all sides of the spectrum in the force also. As stayed close to her as they moved through the people to where she was going. He didnt like this. but he knew if they didnt follow the plan she had set for them they would all be in danger. All it took was one person to do the wrong thing and they could all be in his sisters place. That he knew....was no place to be. And given how well known his face was to a few people on this little rock was....he would feel the bulk of it. His voice rang out over the crowded and music just behind her. "So wheres this friend of yours."
Sheridan
The stench was overpowering at best. Sheridan waved her hand in front of her face in an utterly useless gesture to wave the smell away. The music was loud and low class and made her wince with its brashness and aweful playing. Leato's voice came from right at her ear. IT was pleasant compared to the noise in the Cantina. She turned her head to look at him. "He should be..."
"Sheridan Karrde! What a pleasant if unexpected surprise!" Sheridan groaned only loud enough for Leato to hear and with a rye smile to him, almost apologetic in nature she turned to possitively beam at the disgusting mess coming in their direction. The man was tall but so fat he almost didnt fit through any of the walkways. In fact he bumped a man out of his chair and into the floor in an effort to get to Sheridan. The mans face was a mess of scabs and puss. He drank with loud noises so gross Sheridan nearly lost it. Struggling hard inside and only a little on the outside, she spoke.
"Bastine, the pleasure is mine. I see you are giving me a run for my money." With this she grinned sweetly knowing he would understand the insult but would have to remain polite because if he didnt, she would put him out of business without a second thought. He grunted and sipped again. "Karrde you have more lives than a cat I see." She bowed her head. "You come for something to drink or just to visit?"
"Actually I wanted to make sure I got a good deal on fuel.... I was hoping you would tell me who to go to here. You know, curtesy favor and all that. You know one day I'll return it." She replied.
For the moment, he ignored her and turned to Leato. "And who is this strapping young lad. Is Dash finally dead?"
She shook her head. "MY first mate Dash is well and alive, this is Lee, his son. New, but on my team."
