Shanji went ahead of the shaman... She was his protector, after all, was it not her duty? She carried her staff at an angle as she jogged through the forest. This place was not all unlike some of the places she had traveled on her homeworld. She had learned much about adaptability.
"Paavri, there is smoke..." she says softly, sniffing the air after coming to a complete stop. "Close..." She took off running again and soon found herself to be staring up at the massive (to her) hull of an unfamiliar ship. She stopped and took a step back. She couldn't help but stare. And beyond it... A dozen or more ships! In the middle of a forest! ...It seemed downright blasphemous to her, almost... But these people were not like her own. She weaved her way, slowly, through the encampment. She didn't know whether something would fall off and hit her or something.
At long last, they approached the clearing in which everyone had gathered. The young woman glanced around at the people who stood on the outskirts. She kept her distance. She peeked around trees and looked upon the ones that the firelight shone on... Her eyes were wide. These were the Jeedai... She turned to look at Clouded Spirit, her voice dropping low.
"Paavri?" she asks softly, respectfully. "Are you going up there?"

Alik spoke up again.
"Yes. We know the footsteps of our former Masters and can use their mistakes as controling factors. A Council of old will not destroy the Jedi. We will do that ourselves. Build a Council of new then. Take All the Masters views and point and creat a New body that can properly guide us with their knowledge."

Murra Tekal:[/i]
Murra had fallen quiet once again, longing to reach out into the Force as some of the others were doing. Just as they were attempting to do, Murra wished to see where the future might lead. It was a dangerous practice as the Force was always in motion, but that the want to do so. Without that insight it was with personal conviction she spoke, allowing pure human instinct to lead her to her decision.
"I vote no a council, but..." she says, slowly rising from her seat. "I vote yes to building a structured system of guidance for the Jedi gathered here, as well as any new students that come along. I firmly believe that should we just let the Jedi go their own ways we are going to invite destruction and the furthering of the bad name the galaxy has already given to the Jedi."

"I, as well vote for no council," Kabraka intoned deeply .He folded his hands in his lap as he quietly continued, "But, we do have a need for structure, both in guidance, and governence. But, we are indeed sentients first, and Jedi second. We cannot allow ourselves to be chained to the whims and demands of every little problem. Help the people too much and they become weak. Help them too much and we hamstring ourselves. Help them too little and they die and fade. Balance between the two is neeeded."
Lepri silently indicated her lot with her Master, agreeing as well. Jedi were meant to do what was needed, and get things done.

Jeryndi sat curled up in a ball. He listened to everything that everyone had said thus far. Then nodded. His voice was soft-spoken, but pitched to be heard.
"No to council. Yes to something else, whatever that may be."
Leiyn sat beside him, looking somber as she played with Kefret's hair to keep him busy so he wouldn't try to run off again. Alexis sat on the ground between her and Jeryndi.
"Likewise," she says, smiling slightly. Jeryndi glanced over at her, his gaze weary, and then nodded.

"Paavri?" she asks softly, respectfully. "Are you going up there?"
Clouded Spirit didn't reply for a long moment, his eerily luminscent eyes focusing on each individual Jedi. Many were quite strong in the Force, but most were only of middling strength. It was the fate of the Masters of Destiny. Should anyone attempt to seek the strength the shaman had in the Force, they would see someone with just enough strength to be average, nothing more.
"No," he whispered, crossing his arms across his chest after leaning his staff against a tree. Inexplicably, the faint outline of breasts could be seen clearly through the loose green-grey robes which were made of dried vine and bits of leaves. His eyes jerked to Shanji for a moment, emotionless except for a hint of sorrow and rage. "We are not Jedi. We have no place walking into their meeting. We will wait, should we be invited to join." He resumed his silent observations, his senses picking things up that most wouldn't consider. His features impassive, he just simply watched.

Feeling like a complete idiot for losing his temper while he was trying to make a point--and over such a stupid thing!--Sadhric had receded into subdued silence. Every fiber in his being wanted a full retreat, but equally he needed to see the conclusion of this, so he stayed put.
And what finally got him to relax a little was that Murra Tekal pretty much spelled out his real fears, without the severe paranoia that fueled them, and others echoed the same thoughts. So maybe they had already guessed at the disaster that had spurred him to speak in the first place, and had been preparing to head it off anyway.
Which meant that he'd embarrassed himself for no reason at all. Fantastic!
Posture tight, arms folded across his chest still, he watched Cato from where he leaned, wondering what in every hell the man had been thinking.
The possible answers to that question that he toyed with weren't very flattering to the Jedi Master.

"Then it is clear there shall be no council. But what of a single leader? I understand the majority of fears that seem to have arrisen, and I can not quell them. You wish for a place where we can be connected to each other, but without a leader or group of leaders there is no one to make this happen...... "
He paused, closed his eyes as he felt a wave of Sadhric's negativity, and then opened his eyes to focus on the Force-User in the distance...
"I vote no on a single leader. I believe if a Jedi here feels like they would like to teach students, then they should open a Praxeum, or a conclave and run it as they wish, because they wish it.... otherwise, without a governing body... with only the Force to guide us..."
His brows furrowed, and he flashed a quick glance towards Sadhric, waiting for all votes to be laid out

For the majority of this time Adia sat back with the four padawans she had with her. She said nothing; fore, there was nothing to say. Perhaps they held there reasons for wanting such to happen, and in that she would trust. The suggestion of opening Praxeum or conclave was something that lingered in the likes of her mind as something that she just might have to do. She did agree with the notion of their being a leader, perhaps not a council, but definitely a leader figure and or some place of retreat set to guide the younger ones through these rough times. Regardless to what the majority vote was she would continue to teach the suriving students she has under her.
The padawans were all old enough to understand what was meant by everything said and Shayne shifted his eyes to Adia before softly whispering "So, if there is no council then what are we going to do?" Adia glanced at him and gave a soft smile "We will continue to do what we have been doing all along. I will continue to teach you the ways of the force. It is my duty and responsibility to see you, as well as the other padawans and younglings through this to become competent jedi...that I will do." she said as she placed her right hand on his shoulder. She was not going to abandon him or any of the others. Her job with them was far from over.
Shayne smiled and looked over to his brother Cole, who was a survivor of the Dawning Hope as well. After this issue was settled Adia planned on moving on from this gathering and commence the training activity that she had in stored for them before the rendevouzed here for this important discussion, that is unless there were other topics that needed to be addressed, Then she would remain here until everything was settled. So it was there that Adia sat in the midst of others waiting to see what the votes would turn out to be.

Murra Tekal:
"As far as a single leaders goes, at this point in time... I do not think it would be wise to continue that practice. There's too much power to be gathered by one particular person. There is too much responsibility to be shouldered. A singular leader could not benefit the Jedi as we are now. Perhaps in the future, when all calms down around us, and even within ourselves, but that time is not now. If it is to be a school of sorts that we gather ourselves under, then we should begin that school by building a structure of student-teacher relationships. We have already started this. Some of us currently have Padawans and Knights learning beneath us. But that is the beauty of the Force. Since we all have something to offer, no matter how little our training or experience, the relationship of student and teacher can become much more flexible. If we learn from each other, if we live by the Code and are our own morals, and if we take the Council of those like Sadhric-- who are not as we are-- then we can find ourselves in a much more comfortable place within this Galaxy. As far as where this school should be, or could be, placed... I offer the lands of my family on Corellia as a start for our future..." Murra cast a glance at her children. It occured to her after having made the offer how proud she would be to have her children share in something that she had known as a child herself. The land itself was barren, but as with everything else in the galaxy, it had the potential to be something great.

"No Council, No Leader? I'm afraid you could no longer be considered an 'Order' of any kind. You'll be nothing more than a loose collection of like-minded individuals with no form of Organization at all.. Much like the rest of the Galaxy. Each Jedi doing his or her own wishes with no accountibility? If this is your wish, then disband the order entirely, abandon the Jedi name, and adapt your new title of 'Force Adept'."
"While a Council is not the correct direction to go with at this time, a leader of some kind must be in place. I vote Yes for a Leader."

The fire crackled in the midst of the gathering and Adia still sat quietly. There were a lot of factors to consider and both sides had very compelling reasons for why the felt the way they did. However, it had come down to making a decision herself. It has taken her quite a considerable amount of time to finally reach a decision, but it came to her and it was then that she decided to speak up on the matter at hand.
"After listening to both ends of the spectrum and thinking on this long and hard. I have come to the final decision. I agree with both Masters; fore, as a Shimuran descendant the belief that the force is all we need runs strongly in me, in my family, and it should in all of us. I vote no for a single leader, I also vote no for a council. However if one feels the need to create a place of safe haven such as a Praxeum, Conclave, or temple then let it be so." she said before returning to her silent state.

He sighs softly and looks around. Yes the Jedi of past made mistakes but they lasted longer then any orther government anywhere in the galaxy. Learning from their mistakes and moveing on is whats needed.
"With out a governing body of some sort we will be nothing but vigilanties doing the "right" thing in our own minds. I vote no to a single leader. But yes to some type of leadership. Council or whatever. A temple or conclave will do nothing for us but give younge ones a safe haven. It;s useless."

Leiyn remained silent... As did the young Padawan named Jeryndi. Both had alot to think about.. Neither of them had an answer... Not from logic, not from the Force. They kept exchanging glances, as if they were communicating telepathically, but they weren't. They just thought way too much alike and kept glancing at each other to confirm exactly what the other was thinking... Finally, Jeryndi sighed and Leiyn echoed the exhale.
"No to a single leader." Once again, Leiyn nodded and added her voice to his.
"Likewise. Um... Again."

anna was almost surprised to find merek sitting by her side again. she could tell alot had changed about him. he didnt seem quite as young as he had been before. there was a look about him that gave off the impression of having learned alot in a short amount of time. non the less, she had missed him. hopefully there would be time for them to catch up after all things had been decided. turning her thoughts back to the matter at hand, she cast her vote. "i agree with no single leader. i think we do need a council." after her vote was cast, she sat in silence and listened for the verdict.
