Arcilius, Mos, & Rilst (The FireFly Crew):[/i]
-:They had travelled down the path less taken. So to speak. Several micro-jumps, and three long transition jumps. They were confident that they had at the very least eluded enough of their hunters that they wouldn't be brought down in a hideous swarm of Proton Torpedos and turbo-laser fanfare. Still, as they leapt out of space, the green-blue swirl of a distant planet and its moon was eclipsed by the primary... and of course a ship-yard. Powerfully enhanced subspace engines kicked forward causing the silver gleam that was the FireFly to hurtle towards Mon Calamari. Not a minute later, several other vessels leapt from hyperspace as well. Two were the Brigand and Lan'Dai's vessel, the rest.... were enemies. Immediately emplacements identified the enemy vessels, and obliterated them <C>
in such an efficient manner that it sent chills down Mos' spine. Arcilius was rubbing at his chin, large black eyes not even flinching as escorts began to fly there way... "Apparently someone heard we were coming... " He said causually and cast a glance towards Rilst as she got up from the communications chair... "Seems we missed something big..."
Jeryndi Trander:[/i]
*Jeryndi came running to the cockpit of the FireFly within seconds of dropping out of their hyperspace jump. His footsteps were silent as his steps were light as he came. As always, he appeared rather suddenly at the entrance to the cockpit, wide-eyed and disheveled as always. He caught the comments and then managed a grin. "Ummm... Uh oh?" He'd asked Mos to come this way, to head for Ossus... He'd been sleeping better since the dream had resolved itself. But now he was even more confident that Master Cato was alive. Alive, but probably not well... Also, he knew, through the Force and in his gut, combined with the warning from The Visitor, his namesake, he knew there were Jedi on Ossus... and he felt the strong pull of the Force to go. -c-
He'd not go without permission from the only still-in-contact Jedi Master... Or even without the approval of Tiro, his current Teacher/Guide in his training and ways of the Force... He glanced around out the viewport. Once again, that left eyebrow of his was twitching again. Gods, but that gave him away when he was nervous or when his thoughts were racing... or concentrating. He ran a hand across his hair and smoothed it down, then crouched down in the floorboards in the doorway. -e-
Arcilius, Mos, & Rilst (The FireFly Crew):[/u]
-:Rilst eyes flashed towards Jeryndi. They had only a small number of students on board. Arcilius had told them time and time again that he felt the death of Jedi. One night they had even caught Tai crying arm and arm with a young student. They were all exhausted. Too exhausted. Mos twisted in the seat, tapping large amphian fingers across the transparisteel window. "Councilor Jevelain's been assassinated..." Arcilius face went drawn. His mind twisted into a thousand different possibilities. Mos came out and said it..."Hopefully they won't blame us..." Rilst shook her head as they drew closer and closer to the waiting Glacius... It seemed as if all the ships were readying for battle.. Had they gotten the distress signal from the Dawning Hope? "It seems the Tion Cluster and <C>
surrounding planets have also formed a government..." A bit of Arc's gaping jaw closed. "Atleast the Resistance won't be leashless..." The Ryn frowned, tucked her hands into her vest and avoided the last part as they were pulled into the Glacius' docking bay.. "So after here, we go to Ossus right?"
Jeryndi Trander:[/u]
*Jeryndi sat and listened. "I think we should consult with Master Kabraka first... Master Anon, Master Tekal, and Master Cato are all MIA." No, he refused to let anybody tell him that Caedmon was dead. He was -very- set in his beliefs that his Master was still alive. He didn't need The Force to confirm or deny. He just knew. "I know the codes to the Legacy... We should try and get in touch with him. I'm sure he's been in touch with Merek. Merek's got a fair bit of students aboard the Destiny's Kiss, too." His mind wandered... Lepri? What ship had Lepri gotten away on? He knew she was still alive... She'd gotten out safely. He knew Leiyn was safe, too. -e-
Arcilius, Mos, & Rilst (The Firefly Crew):
-:Arc sighed.. he didn't have the heart to tell Jeryndi Caedmon really was dead. But the boy couldn't live on those fantasies as a Jedi Knight. "Kid... " Mos couldn't either, finally after a brief amount of silence Rilst spoke up..." Get them on the line boyo..." The ryn was moving aside as Arc allowed his mind to travel... The ship settled into place. And the ramp was already being lowerred. "We're needed outside...." Mos pointed out as an insistant buzz rang out from a computer screen.
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/i]
*Jeryndi gave them both that meaningful glare... He knew what they were going to say. And he didn't care to hear it. He knew the truth. Even if they didn't. Then Rilst spoke up, saving him from getting a lecture about living in fantasies and whatnot... He sat down in the cockpit as the others were rallying outside the Firefly. He fired up the comm system, input the direct codes to the Legacy's Beginning. "Firefly to Legacy's Beginning... This is Jeryndi Trander, I need to speak with Master Kabraka... Do you read me?" he asks softly. His was already reaching out with the Force, trying to touch Leiyn, trying to figure out exactly where they were... He got a vague sense of where, but not much more. He still had a long way to go in such things. -c-
He gave Leiyn 'the tickle', as the older woman liked to call it. It was his way of getting her attention... and she usually reponded to it.... Aboard the Legacy, Leiyn was sitting in the lounge, plaiyng with the padawans to keep their attention... She hit the ship's internal comm button and spoke softly. "Incoming Transmission."
Kabraka & Lepri:
Kabe was up in the bridge, and the com blinked next to the captain's chair. He flicked it on, sending back holo, as well as audio, painting the white wookiee sitting in his chair. "Go ahead, Jeryndi. What can I do for you?" His voice was a steady purr, almost too smooth. His mind was increasingly troubled over the last few hours, but it wouldn't do to have a young mind such as Jeryndi's knowing the worry on his shoulders. Better to present the image of unshakable strength. The blue-scanned image of Kabe seemed to settle further into his seat, and a small smile graced his face. He was pretty sure Jeryndi got out alive and safe, and it was good to have confirmation of that. <c>
Lepri's ears perked, as she was sitting in one of the lounge seats, staying near Leiyn. She liked Leiyn, in a way, and at the same time it was nice to have someone older than the other padawans, but not a knight or master to chat with.. just like normal people. Idly in one hand she held a dark blueish-purple crystal between her thumb and middle finger, while with her other hand she flipped it end over end slowly. With the lounge system being patched into the com, she felt a rush of relief at hearing Jery's voice, and grinned, but kept her mouth shut. This was a business call, at the moment.
Arcilius, Mos, Rilst (The Firefly Crew):[/u]
-:Rilst's brow perked as she started listening to the conversation. Arcilius remained still for a moment... "I'll go handle debriefing... the Admiral is slightly familiar with me..." He said it quietly so not to pick it up on the comm. Within a few seconds he was out of the cockpit, and shortly running down the ramp, with the only two young students he had been able to find. Mos blinked large calamarian eyes, the room was silent, trying to comprhend everything that was happening around them with what little time they had. "Jeryndi, find out where they are... tell them to come to Mon Cal if they can.... or away from Alliance territory, the Dark Fleet broke up...."
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
*Jeryndi nodded to Mos's words and looked to the holo-projection of Kabe. "Can you get Leiyn to the cockpit? I have something important to tell her..." He shakes his head, then frowns. "Not that it really matters... I feel the need, the urge to go to Ossus... I had a... err... visit... from my..." He looked for a good way to put it. "Namesake." He paused, waiting for a reaction... He was glad Leiyn was there. He knew she would've flipped out. "He told me there are Jedi on Ossus... and since I had that dream, Master Kabraka, I get this feeling that they're all in trouble... I wanted to get your approval before just, um, jumping into anything?" He glances over at Mos. "Oh, and, uhh... Mos says to tell you to come to Mon Cal if they can... or away from Alliance Territory..." -c-
He gave a visible shudder... his blue-screen image of himself on kabe's holo-projector flickering a little. "He says the Dark Fleet has broken up... But I get the feeling I already know where they went."
Kabraka & Lepri:[/u]
He watched Jeryndi, then held up a hand. He reached over to the intership's com to the lounge. "Leiyn, would you grace us with your presence at the bridge? ... Yes, its okay if she comes along." He knew that either Leiyn or Lepri would have wanted to know if it was okay for her to come, and before the question would be asked, he answered. He then turned his attention back to Jeryndi. "Well, there is indeed trouble on Ossus. The Force showed Master Tekal, a large group of students, and another figure that was present, being enguaged buy some rather large, tough and sturdy droids, along with Enforcers and troopers. If you were contacted.. sent a Vision that confirms there is Jedi trouble on Ossus, it cannot be ignored." He glanced around the bridge then back to the young Jedi. "As it <c>
stands, I'm hovering on the edge of the Brigia system. We're safe here in Chiss territory, but its about the same distance to Mon Cal as it is to Ossus."
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
*Jeryndi shakes his head, continuing... "No, the vision... Well, it was more like a conversation with a dead guy, really! ... He said that I needed to go to Ossus. That there were -alot- of Jedi there... Its only been recently, whenever I think about Ossus... I get... cold and full of fear... I haven't -seen- anything, but..." He smiled. "But you'd be pleased to know I, er, finally solved That Damned Vision... I can sleep now." Leiyn stepped up into the cockpit right about this time, smiling. "Heyla, Jeryndi! Good to see you whole and well!" she says excitedly, grinning. Jeryndi waved at her over the comm holo projection. "Hey Leiyn! How you been!" He looked over at Kabe, then grinned sheepishly. "I'm sorry... I never waited for your answer."
Kabraka & Lepri:[/u]
Kabe tilted his head, giving him an interested look. "A Force Spirit eh.. The one you were named after.. Well, last I knew, he visited Murra on Ord Mantell. If a Force Spirit visited you, it's of great importance." He looked over to Leiyn and smiled, then glanced behind as he felt Lepri enter the bridge, quickly taking in the stations and returning her attention to the holo. She felt her heart leap in her chest, seeing Jeryndi in the holofeed, and unhurt. She stepped into the range of the pickup, her furred face beaming all the way to her eyes. She didn't say anything, but she did manage a small wave. She still had the crystal in her hand, only now she held it tightly in her palm.<C>
Kabe's attention was on Jeryndi at the moment as he asked softly, "So, why Mon Cal? Bit far to run isn't it?"
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
*Jeryndi nodded. "He's a good guy... He said it felt weird having more than a handful of Jedi on Ossus... Like-- it was... almost disturbing... Now I kinda know what he meant." He nods. He saw Lepri and grinned. "Hey Lepri!" He dug out his crystal, on his necklace, and wrapped his hand around it... Gosh, but it was obvious these two were close! Despite their age difference, they -obviously- had a relationship deeper than friendship... "WAs wondering what ship you got off on... Good to see you're okay." Leiyn nodded to his words. "Likewise, pickpocket." Jeryndi managed a smile, then sighed... remembering That Damned Vision... "So I finally solved the Vision, Master Kabraka... The man who died... was my uncle. I know who my father is now, too." He looked away, sighing. -c-
He looked back after a minute and managed yet another smile. "On a lighter note... Jeryndi told me that both my mother and uncle were Force Sensitive... and he reassures me that me ending up with the Jedi was no coincidence... He also told me his time 'here' is drawing to a close... and that he will come again to say goodbye for real."
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
Kabe nodded. "Good. I'm glad that it finally came to its conclusion. I can tell you are more centered now." It was true. He was more focused, more centered, and certainly more rested and refreshed. It was as plain as daylight on him." After a moment, Kabe turned in his chair, looking at Lepri, then Jeryndi. After a few more moments, he gave Jer a small smile. "Jeryndi, in a few minutes I think you and I need to discuss a couple of things." Jer wasn't in trouble, but for the last day or so, he had questions that.. with the closeness between him and Lepri was apparent, Kabe was sure Jer could answer for him. <C>
Lepri's eyes suddenly got as big as plates, but she calmed a moment later, putting on her sabaac face. SHe couldn't help but be glad at his news though, that he wouldn't be waking up screaming, or upset by the Vision anymore. That much would be better. And he'd be able to focus more solidly again. She missed training with him full-on, because she'd had to hold back so as not to hurt him on accident, because he wasn't paying attention, or up to par. "Anyway, I think that we have a clear indication that Ossus is to be of concern," Kabe said quietly, then paused looking as though he was debating. "The other presence I picked up from my own Vision.. was familiar. I don't want to get your hopes up, and dont you even think about mentioning it outside of this meeting until I give you the <c>
go-ahead, but the presence I felt put me in mind of Master Cato. It could have been him, but I am not certain. If it was, he's changed a lot." Kabe knew that people wondered about Jeryndi, and his grip on reality and being able to distinguish it from the fantasy that Master Cato was alive. Kabe was sure that Caedmon was alive too, though he had changed. The vision he recieved only seemed to partially confirm his beliefs. It wasn't that he had the faith of Jeryndi. He just did not feel that where Master Cato's presence was in the Force was no-longer.. it just couldn't be felt. It was the difference between looking through a pane of transparisteel into space, and looking into a black hole.
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
*Jeryndi nodded, smiling as Kabe told him he looked more centered... His smile dissipated however, upon hearing the next words. The look Lepri gave him, the stern look Leiyn was giving, the calm, but firm tone of voice Kabe was giving him... He knew what it was about. He smiled, getting animated again. "Look, Master Kabraka--" His comedy relief was kicking in again. "--Whatever it is that you're missing? I didn't take it... I suggest search the Cathar," he says lightly. All 3 would probably know he was cracking jokes again. He listened... his eyes downcast... as Master Kabraka spoke of Ossus. Then, he gave a slightly pained expression... and then raised his eyes. "If he's alive, all I have to say is one thing..." He held up his index finger. "...'I told you so'..."
Kabraka & Lepri:[/u]
Kabe tilted his head. "I never said he wasn't." Then he looked to Lepri and Leiyn, then turned back to Jer. "Alright, time's wasting on us. I'm going to drop off the younger of our students. The older ones, nearing their trials can come, if they wish. I will leave it up to them though. I would suggest offering the same volunteer basis on my behalf to the crew of the Firefly, and to any suvivors you all have. This may very well turn out to be a trap." It was the truth. He would have figured that by now that all of them were dead, if they weren't being saved as bait. "Contact Tiro, and Lan Dai, see if they are willing to join in. I'll be getting Estrina as well, so we will have some strong Knights with us. I think if Adia makes it through this I'm going to have her named a Master." Now he<c>
was just musing to himself really. At the same time, when neither Leiyn nor KAbe were looking Lepri mouthed, 'I miss you!' to Jery, though by the look in her eyes she meant more. She was overjoyed though to know he was alive. Idly she leaned against Kabe's chair.
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
*Jeryndi grinned, rebuked for the comment of 'I told you so'... "No, but everybody else has... They don't believe me when I say he's alive... But I get it all the time. Those looks that say-- 'that poor child is in denial' or some shit... Its crazy!" He listened as Kabe continued... then nodded to rallying the Knights.. "I saw Lan-Dai's fighter here. It was here when we dropped out of hyperspace... All of the ships that are able are boarding the Glacius, which is where we are now... I'll tell all of this to Arcilus (sp?) all of this as soon as he gets back..." -c-
He glanced away for a second, then back again. He caught Lepri's little message and he gave a knowing smile. "I'll see if I can get in direct contact with Tiro. I'm betting he will come... I'll run it by him and the others as soon as they get back." He smiles again, which quickly disappeared. "I know I'm nowhere near ready for the trials, Master Kabraka... But I want to come, too."
Kabraka & Lepri:[/u]
"You're supposed to be there. That much is clear. When you get here, either stick close to me, or Tiro. I don't want you getting hurt, with, or without Master Cato actually being there." He glanced over to Lepri, feeling the question already coming to mind. "Yes, you can come to. Same stipulations though." She closed her open mouth, having gotten her asnwer before she'd had time to voice it, then nodded solemly, then smiled. She bowed slightly. "Yes Master," she murmured softly, then looked to Jeryndi. After a moment Kabe turned to them. "Anything you two would like to say before I take my few moments alone with him?" Lepri shook her head, clearly satisfied, then took that as her cue to wave again, and give him a wink, then turned and headed out of the bridge with decidedly more bounce in her step.
Jeryndi Trander & Leiyn Dar:[/u]
*Jeryndi nodded to the Master's words. "Understood, Master..." he xsays softly. He grinned at hearing Kabe approving of her coming, too. He quickly regained his composure, his smile disappearing. He missed her, too. Really bad, as it were. He wanted to be with her again. Near her. Not to sleep with or kiss or touch... but because she was a constant in his life who understood him completely. He couldn't even be compeltely at ease around Master Kabe, Lan-Dai, or Tiro.... Not even Leiyn... But he could be around Lepri. HE caught her wink and smiled slightly... then looked at Leiyn. -c-
Leiyn sighed softly, crossing her arms over her chest. "Good to see you alive and well... And a little more sane than thel ast time I saw you..." She puased and offered him a quick blade of a smile as she stood up to leave. "Be Good." With that said, she left the cockpit to leave Kabe and Jeryndi alone to talk.
