Once upon a time there was a handsome knight with a glorious mane of blond hair and eyes the color of the sea after a storm.
This knight, my beloved children, fell in love with a beautiful warrior woman, and together they had two children. But the galaxy that they lived in was jealous. The gods of the galaxy did all that they could to pull the children away from the knight and his warrior wife. The gods did all that they could to tear the knight away from his beloved.
The monsters of the galaxy laughed and jeered at his heartache, for they had fooled him in his fight to hold on to all that he held dear. And his warrior wife? She was not without her struggles either.
Like puppets on a string the pair danced, battling as best they could to fend off the darkness that had been visited upon them.
Their children, who were not but babes at the time, suffered as well. One, the knight's beautiful princess of a daughter, was held captive by the very hands that sought to twist the galaxy into the darkness. While the other, the knight's most handsome son, found himself in captivity of another kind.
So deep was the knight and his warrior wife into their strife that the struggles seemed insurmountable. But! It was all an illusion. The knight and his warrior wife had friends spanning the length and width of the galaxy. Seeing the struggles, hearing about them from the brave knight, his friends rallied and came to his aid from every corner of the galaxy!
The battle to save the knight's princess-daughter was brutal, my loves, but in the end they succeeded and freed the baby girl from the clutches of the evil witch that wanted to devour her. The son, as well, and the warrior woman were also saved from a similar fate. But the knight's struggle was not over. He had become injured -- damaged, you see, in his fight against the evil witch and the injury plagued him so desperately.
How could he ever hold his prince or princess again with arms that failed him? How could he ever look upon their faces and be worthy? He wondered.
All of his worrying was for naught for the very moment, the very first time he set his eyes upon his children after the long battle was over, the dear knight knew that none of it mattered anymore. Within his arms he held the future, his future and his warrior wife's future. He was never going to let it go again.
So fear not, my little loves, when your father is away. Your brave knight will return and all will be right within our kingdom once more.
