I have no pictures of Stackpole or Carrie Fisher, sadly. I did find the guy from Eureka trolling the lobby and drunk as hell pretending to be a normal dude instead of the minor celebrity that he is, and it was hilarious because I recognized him. Not as awesome as I thought it'd be. I talked to Stackpole mainly about his fantasy stuff that I've read, not I, Jedi or anything. He was pretty awesome, really smart, and totally trash-talked Karen Traviss, so it made me giggle.

Mike, I'm pretty sure you and I are the only ones who've read his fantasy stuff... Got some fantasy based RP going with Char that I kinda based on Talion Revenant.
Well... One small part out of probably like a hundred... It was originally based on a dream I had, lol.

I haven't read Talion yet, actually, despite owning the book. I'm reading At Queen's Command right now, which is nearly verbatim the American Revolution with different names for places and key people in history, but with dragons, magic, and undead. It's good characterization, but I like his world building almost as much, so being so "real world-y" isn't my deal.
The Age of Discovery series was amazing, too, but...
Nothing beats fuckin' Dragoncrown. I'm on plot next year for Solar, that LARP I do and I'm now in Georgia again so I can play full time, and our main plot is based off of the series.
