Somewhere in the darkness of her own mind, she felt lost. The light that had been there at one time was now gone, and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it. She'd tried, Ureala had done what she could but no matter what she did, she had not been able to save her son.
She felt as if she were sitting in a room, a dark room with no windows or doors, staring down at a pool of acid that was inexplicably growing larger and larger, threatening to devour her from her feet up.
She'd answered their questions, given them a description of the man, and yet they continued to plague her. Her left hand flinched, the finger tips spasming as the droid worked on the final touches to her new arm. Its casing had to be replaced, as well as the servos and wiring. It was simpler to just get an entirely new arm then it would have been for them to repair the old one.
She didn't care, though. What did it matter? In two days, Ureala Tekal would be wiped from the face of the galaxy and would be reunited with her son in the Force. She glanced at the chrono hanging on the wall behind the droid. Two days for mourn, two days to relish what was left of her life. She had two days to find a way to stop that bastard, and to regain some sense of herself.
She felt a tug at her left arm, the droid pulling it to get her attention. "Please," Said the doctor who was supervising, "try to pay attention..." She nodded, but was nowhere near paying attention to them; in a matter of hours Kabraka and his wookies would arrive. Just a few more hours of darkness....
