It had only been a few hours after Ureala had made her little call to the Wookies. He had no clue she had called for back up in this little battle. Nore would it have stoped him from comeing. And come he did. Death. He was Death. The CorSec guards stood watch outside the door to the room they were "protecting" them in. Only two. How insulting. His presence suddenly appeared in the Force. Vicious. Like a sudden supernova of energy. He was just as powerful, if not more, then the day he faced Murra in that dark hallway. Dark hallways. He grined a little. The dark figure could not be seen at the end of the long hallways. Whitewashed halls. Sterile hospital smell. Suddenly. Like something out of a horror vid. The lights went out. One by one. Getting closer as they did to the door that lead to Destiny. The guards pulled their blasters and readied themselves on each side of the hall. Calling for back up into their coms. It would not matter. By the third or fouth try they would realize the silence of their coms was an omen of what was to come. And it would come. Death always did...................
"In five millennia, the Mandalorians fought with and against a thousand armies on a thousand worlds. They learned to speak as many languages and absorbed weapons technology and tactics from every war. And yet, despite the overwhelming influence of alien cultures, and the absence of a true home world and even species, their o
Tekal: Sol paced anxiously in his cell, his eyes closed, deep within the Force. He'd been keeping an eye on them through that ethereal energy, he knew when Leato showed back up, he knew that Ureala was awake. He knew that the guards would not last long.... Ureala jumped out of her very light slumber. She'd been jumping at every little sound. The feeling within her leg was getting better, the pain had subsided and she could now control the movement of her muscles; they no longer twitched uncontrollably. But, she hadn't put pressure on it, yet. Her eyes went to the door, the Force calling her attention to it. Something was going on, there was a tension in the air, the unbelivable feeling that someone was going to die. She'd felt it before, and this time she could not help but think it was going to be her. Swiftly, Uri spoke into the room around them, nudging Jaysten with her voice. "Jay, wake up." She said firmly, and as if he had been waiting for her to do so, the young man sat straight up on his cot, his eyes locked on the door. He looked pale, and a fine sheen of sweat covered his forehead. "Jay, come over here. I want you to climb into bed with me, alright?" Without a word, her son did as he was commanded. By this time, the feeling was stronger, and the emergency lights within the room were flickering. "Whatever happens," She whispered, sliding an arm around him protectively, "It will be alright..."
Khan: The eerie image of the white haired man walking slowly down the hall scared the guards. Each time the lights flicked he was closer to them. Then with a sudden burst of energy he moved with lightning speed. his saber ignighted. Thier blaster bolts banking of his blade and scorching the walls. The deep red made its way though one guards chest. Burning a gash through his vital organs. His life fading almost instantly. The other taking a stab to the gut. His death would come. But at a much slower pace. Leato's eyes were on fire. His rage creating a dark vergance in the Force. The door to the room opened slowly. The red glow of his blade filled the now poorly lit room in a menacing shade of evil. "Are you ready?"
Tekal: Sol, in his cell, stopped pacing. He could feel the wanning life of the guard who had been cut down, as well as feel the terror of the other as his life was ended abruptly. He turned his attention to CorSec, not bothering to care how it would make him look, the implications of him knowing something was going on... Lives were in danger, and he could not just stand there, feel it, and let it go ignored. "Guards! GUARDS!" Ureala had gotten out of bed by the time the door opened, having ripped the iv from her arm. She didn't need it any more anyway. The doctors had insisted that it stay in, perhaps to keep her from moving around on her wounded leg. It wouldn't stop here here. She was standing at the foot of her bed, putting herself between Leato and Jaysten. She'd commanded her son to remain on the bed, beneath the covers. She didn't want the lad to see what was going to happen. She didn't want his eyes to take her form in as life left it. She was certain that was what was coming. She had no weapon -- the Force blooming strongly as the door hissed open, revealing the man who had killed her brother. "I was born ready." Murra had said that same phrase to him, once. And, all though, Ureala was completely unaware of it, she looked exactly like the woman who had spawned her.
Khan: He let her see that he had obviously hadn't been looking at her and shook his head slowly. "It's not your time yet Daughter. Step aside. I want for the next time we meet for you to be in better health. But if you refuse. I will be forced to cause you more pain. Just accept it. You can already feel it in the Force. It's calling his name. You can not deny your destiny."
Tekal: he felt her heart beat stop, her breath catching in her lungs. Jaysten. He'd come for her son. Resolutely, she stood firm, staying between Leato and the bed. "You will not touch him." She said, her voice firm and sure. She'd go to whatever lengths possible to protect her son. Solomon continued shouting, causing such a ruckus that was sure to garner attention. But, when he had gotten it, it was not the response that he would have wanted. "Look, just check. Call them, contact your officers and just check. Please!" He pleaded, feeling inevitability seeping through the Force.
Khan: "I will." He didn't move a muscle. didn't even blink. But the small trolling table for food slid across the floor slamming into her wounded leg. He hit her with a blast of force energy a moment later. Trying to side swipe her out of his way. "Don't make this worse Daughter. Or I will not be gentle for your sake."
Tekal: It had been at just the right height, slamming right into the wound, the rounded edge of the table pushing against still tender flesh. She winced, silver stars and lines of red shooting across her vision. The nerves connected to the damaged muscles had been overloaded, causing her leg to go limp, crumpling her against the bed as the Force blast hit her. She clung, holding onto the foot board with both hands, struggling to push herself back to her feet. "You. Will. Not. Touch. Him." She repeated, glaring at Leato, speaking through her pain. Sol was having no luck with those guards, his plea bargaining was going no where at the moment, but he kept it up. He had to keep trying.
Khan: A blast of lightning rocked her body. He would have none of this. His face twisting into a snarl. "End this right now or I will make him suffer like you could never believe!" Walking toward her, striking her with another heavy hit of electric energy. "You are taking what good graces I do have and burning them in my hatred for your family. Accept it. Or hear him scream."
Tekal: Her leg was numb, she couldn't feel it, so she couldn't stand. That was probably a good thing, though, it meant she had a little less father to fall as the lightning hit her form. It danced across her skin, baking her hair and frying nerve endings. She gritted her teeth, baring the pain as much as she could. Ureala tried pushing herself up, using the hold she still had on the foot board for leverage. She wasn't listening to him, and she wasn't going to listen to him. This man, this monster, had killed Darien and now he was going after her son. He'd get no quarter given from her. From across the room, Ureala pulled at something within the Force, calling it toward her, aiming for Leato's back. She had no saber, but that didn't mean she couldn't fight. Sol, meanwhile, was still pleading with CorSec. "Look, kid. We just talked with them ten minutes ago. They are fine." "No, they aren't." He insisted, glaring at the officer he was talking to. "Just relax." CorSec said, shaking his head and walking away. He hated when prisoners were roudy, it always made his shift longer.
Khan: He swung his lightsaber with a flash. Cutting the heavy object in two. He had released his hold on her. but his attention was once again back on her in second. The force filled his legs. Filled his arms. He was a dark blur in an already dark room. Fighting a woman on the ground with her senses tingling in pain. The tip of his saber aimed for the bicep of her cybernetic arm.
Tekal: Without her left leg to balance on, Ureala could not pull herself up to trip him as he moved closer. She would have had time to do it, using the Force to help her speed, but her body was not capable of following that command, not with how she was wounded. The lightsaber sliced through the casing, cutting wires and severing connections. She gasped, feeling that arm go limp. The mechanical hand let go of the foot board, and she fell, her right hand slipping n surprise. "Jay! RUN!" She shouted, hearing the bed shift as the child did as he was told, without hesitation. He had slipped off the bed, opposite the side where she and Leato were, being closer to one side them the other, and made his break for the door of the hospital room. Sol, continuing his plea, finally had gotten their attention "Alright, kid. If it will shut you up... I will call them..." Sol backed down, stepping away from the door to resume his pacing while CorSec made the call. He hoped it wasn't too late.
Khan: Without hesitation he placed his foot on her chest. Applying his strength and the force to nearly crush her to the ground. And with a flick of his wrist he sent the lightsaber spinning at the boy. His mind and thought wraped around the boy. The saber. The Force guided the blade. It the Force had guided him right. It would be a quick and painless death. His cold gaze though.... it stayed on Ureala. Watching her eyes as she watched the events unfolding. Powerless to the Will of the Force.
Tekal: Her right hand wrapped around his ankle, her left leg struggling for purchase on the floor. If she had the control over it, she would have been able to toss him, rolling and using that momentum do free herself. However, that was not possible. Her left leg was getting its feeling back, but instead of being numb, all she felt was a burning sensation. The flashes of red light caught her attention as the saber spun, pulling her gaze away from Leato and locking onto Jaysten. He had just about been at the door, he had almost made it out of the room. Her eyes went wide, her right hand reaching into the air, calling with the Force to the weapon that Leato had sent after her son. He fell, Ureala watched him as he went down. The child had put a hand on the door frame, seeking to use it to push himself out of the room. Jay's head rolled from his shoulders, is body falling lifelessly to the floor. She bit back a sob, she was numb, completely numb all over. Shock spread through the Force, making her limbs heavy, causing pain to rise within her chest, beneath his boot. Sol's progress with CorSec had been a little too late. Officers were rushing around, Solomon could hear the commotion from his cell. He didn't need any confirmation other then having heard a shouted profanity a few moments before. He'd been proven correct, and CorSec was on it's way to the hospital. Ureala looked up at Leato, after a moment, her eyes pleading. All the will to fight him had been lost when Jaysten's dead body hit the floor. "...Kill me..." She whispered, begging very softly.
Khan: He called the saber back to his hand. Clipping it to his belt. Walking over to the body of the boy and leaving Ureala laying there. He picked the body up very gently in his arms. Walking it to the bed and laying it there. He did the same with the head. Resting it with the body. Then he sighed. Almost sadly. Kneeling down next to Ureala. He pushed her hair back from her face. His gray eyes gentle. But not caring. "I will. Soon. You have 2 days to mourn. Then I will return. And End your suffering." With that he stood. Leaving the room. His body and presence disappearing all at once. Death had left his mark once again. The Tekal's would be remembered. All of them. A tragedy. And one that has yet to reach it's climax.
Tekal: She hadn't watched him pick up the boy's body, she didn't want to see him touch her son. Ureala could not bare the confirmation that what she had seen happen was real. The oldest of the Tekal children swallowed hard, forcing down the lump of cold emotions that had risen in her throat. When Leato knelt beside her, brushing the hair out of her face, she didn't open her eyes to look into the face of death. She didn't have to, she didn't want to. The young woman turned her head, pulling herself away from his grasp. And then, he was gone. She sat there, finally allowing herself to sob. Tears of hot anger, of uncontrollable agony and rage, rolled down her face, streaming from her eyes. Within a few moments, the hospital was surrounded by the sound of sirens. CorSec had arrived, and began storming the building, covering exits, swiftly making their way onto the crime scene.
Darien to Radda Min: "...You want someone who's a free thinker -- hunt down my mother. She's probably very lonely in hell."
Sadhric: "I need a shoe." Sol: "You do realize that shoes come in pairs." Sadhric: "... Get off my ship."
